Sandy the Los Angeles metropolitan area is larger than many states so what one sees at the beaches could be totally different than what one sees a mile away. I'm here at the central coast where the crowds are sparse and there is every type of body size. I do think there are many more fit adults in southern CA where I lived for many years. I used to go to Venice and Santa Monica as well as Newport and Huntington. Loved the body builders in Venice especially the men π

I had to admit that I really didn't notice the particulars about the model's body or swimsuit. I liked her energy and attitude. I confess though she looks reasonably fit. If she weren't, then that is what I would see and I would feel sad. As for Connect, I should get back to checking in w/ Kathy & Cleo (Kelly). βοΈππππ£

So what kinds of pictures are OK to post on Connect? Clearly nothing about medical procedures or illness, or anything that shows a lack of proper shame over having a fat body. No feet on scales. What's the list of things that no one finds offensive?

I like Audrey's ( jamescat1) food pictures; her meals always look good.

No, you definitely can't post food pictures on social media without getting people all riled up that you're narcissistic - the whole "no one cares what you had for lunch" crowd. There are like 1,000 internet memes of how annoying people find that. Which is my point - there's nothing that isn't going to irritate someone so I say if you want to show your cancer treatment or your sad animal story or your pride in your fat body or your food then post it and anyone who doesn't like it can just deal.

On Connect a lot of the posts are about food. People are at different stages in their weight loss. On FB it is for my friends and family.

finreporter, Funny you should say that. On one of my threads once I had the subject be what kind of flowers we liked and it was a great hit. It started because I saw a vase full of pastel flowers that were beautiful. We don't have flowers in the house because of cats...they eat them and I don't want to worry about which ones are poisonous.

I usually post what's growing in our yard. We have huge zinnias and lavender and lots of roses. bbbearsmom Judy, those flowers were gorgeous.

finreporter, When I read your statement my mind immediately went to tasteful nudes with beautiful flowers covering certain places.
