Today: am excited for the day to be "ordinary"- no "holidaze" activities, food, guests, or chores! Have normal household tasks. Bring on the sanity, bring on normality--I have missed them!
How: clean out the refrigerator- we left w/ party food in bowls & such, make a grocery run, and take a long, much deserved bubble bath

Good morning, June & AWF!
Although SOME people <ahem> might disagree, yesterday was a super-relaxing day here in DivaLand. We went to Wegmans and Home Depot and Shop Rite (oh, MY!) and did all manner of Cinderella & Cinderfella things around here. Naps were included - and football and Sherlock Holmes. There WAS a DayJob phone call at 6:15 PM <EH?!?!> but T-G I recognized the number and let it go right to voicemail (I'll listen to that message "after 8:30 AM Eastern time" today, LOL). Both of us are back to work today but Toots does NOT have rehearsal.
WHAT: Since Toots does not have rehearsal again until 1/24 he'll be home for supper. It will be a Monday-on'a-Tuesday at the DayJob. <oy>.
HOW: I can continue, in 2017, to polish the WW skills that have served me/us well already - and PLANNING tops the list. We're still working on N*Y*Day leftovers; tonight will be the BBQ ribs. And I'll prep my lunch in self-defense against a DayJob of I-don't-know-WHAT.
I've got a pot of rice on the stove and it's dinging. Must make bkfst and prep lunch... who knows what <omg> the DayJob will bring?!?
Have a healthy-eating day, all!

Good morning June MJ Naomi and AWF.
June I also am a HUGE fan of 'normal' and getting back into a routine. I'm still struggling, but each day gets better. KOKO.......I take things a meal at a time these days.
Yeah MJ on getting in those naps. I can't function without one. I often ask myself how I ever worked LOL.
Naomi I was a Lazy Mary yesterday, so I know the feeling. Hopefully I'll get to do today what I didn't do yesterday!!!
Hope all have a good OP day!

Mj- ha ha ha... as I read your post, I could almost feel the "crazy" lurking in the dark web of your day job. You are smart to not lose sight of Mj and her needs regardless of whatever craziness manifest on your computer screen. The boys aren't always thrilled w/ relaxing "chore days." Guess they don't quite get that concept.
Naomi- our fridge situation looks more like the island of misfit toys--food that is not loved. Ha ha ha. I can picture a Jenga refrigerator. Lazy Mary days are okay. Resting is important, too.
Ann--a one meal at a time plan makes a lot of sense. Baby steps give us the traction that we need! We do it every day; but some days being more aware of that really helps.

Good Morning!
June, I am so glad normal has returned! It just suits me so much better. Enjoy that bubble bath:)
MJ, good plan to polish and refine those weight watcher skills we all know and love so well - gonna do that myself. Thanks for the tip:)
Naomi, my fridge gets Jinga like quite often! can't ever find a thing when it does LOL Happy cleaning and tracking
Ann, hope your day goes well. one meal at a time is usually how I roll, too.
Bee, hope your Bible study goes well:) have a great day.
Susi, hope today is finding you feeling better. have a great day at work.
A day of KOKO for me. Need to get in some activity. I took some great walks while at Edisto but haven't done a thing since returning. Hoping to get my indoor decorations down and put away tonight. The outside ones can wait since it is so wet out they need to dry out. Hope everyone has a fabulous Tuesday.

Glad I'm not alone in the one meal at a time state. I once said that to a friend of mine, and it was like I grew a second head.... That's what's so nice about us Weight Watchers, we always GET IT. Time to unplug and sit and be....... Ciao

LaDonna -- nice that chores are also activities;goodness knows rhere are plenty of those waiting for us everyday! I am 100% on board w/ this being a KOKO day plus a one meal at a time day. Hope you have a productive day of post-holiday cleaning.
I think my DH got tired of hearing about LaDonna, my WWer friend who lives in SC. When we passed the exit for Edisto, I mentioned your anniversary trip. And then he got a REconstruction history lesson. WHen we saw an extremely small deer killed on the roadside, he had to hear how your DH hunts. I wondered if he could tell us what the typical size was. My DH had read that the deer were smaller, but neither of us expected such a big difference.
Ann- we do this together and are stronger for it.
