Good morning October Fun Ladies, It is a beautifully sunny warm day in the neighborhood!!!! I will go outside on the deck today with Sammy!!!!
I had a GREAT WEIGHT LOSS AT WW THIS MORNING!!!!! I was down 5.4 !!!!! I think that was because I was up last week from the popcorn. So that probably is a wt. loss for two weeks added together. That made me get below another 10 lb. no. again!!!!! So I have lost 20 lbs. since July 22, 2017!!!! At this rate I will get back to what I weighed the spring of 2016, this next spring!!!! I have 8 months to do it in! I keep telling myself that if I eat only 26 sp I won't gain anymore wt. I loved the picture for Cat this morning Connie!!! Keep the pictures coming!!!! Cat, I love your avatar of the black cat in the fall leaves!!!!
I think my gift for reaching below another 10 lbs. will be a bracelet I saw at Kay Jewelers last week. It was not very expensive and I have been wanting one. You can put charms on it. They said that I won't brake out from it. It had rose gold on it. I can ware that. Ted is making a big pot of his chili tonight for dinner. Rob and Jack will be here, after we go to Jack's hockey game tonight. I will have a dump salad with chicken and apples in it for me! I haven't seen Jack play Hockey since he learned how to skate. Jack's coach told Rob that Jack is the best player on the team!!!! He can skate backwards really good!!! I know he LOVES HIS HOCKEY!!! Everybody find something fun to do today!!!! Hello!
So many of us have computer issues! Doris, glad you got yours fixed by yourself. Cat, is yours working right, now? Love the joke! I always enjoy the pictures you folks post. I don't say it enough, but I do likethem. Sandy, I understand your frustration. Sometimes I just have to repeat to myself, "I have no control here." Hurts. We are home from DH's eye doctor. Next appointment -- 6 weeks. He is doing well, I think.
It is still overcast today, but we will stay in mostly. Be happy today!
Diane

Woo Hoo! Page 2. I think I see page 3 coming when Jenny and Kathie post.
Sandy, I have a dear friend who has always had complete trust in doctors. But this last prescription she is questioning. Dunno what she will decide. Hopefully Fred will start questioning.
Doris hit the laugh or thumbs up like at top left of the post.
Connie, may that injection work for you.
Phyl, I remember when Dr.'s houses were not as big as most new homes today.
Great loss, Peggy Sue. Buy popcorn and pop it without butter or oil. I bought a popping bowl for the microwave. I spray butter spray after it is popped and use just a little salt. Try it.
Dianne, I have not had computer problems, Knock on wood. Son is bringing me a smart phone so watch out!
Gotta get back out. Trying to get the camper awning in right. I could not in June so took the legs off. Got one problem figured out, but got too hot to roll it in and see if it would go all the way into the cover. I want to be able to use it next camp out if we have rain. Was afraid to try last week

Fred just got back from the doctor and talked about how he had said at the last meeting he wouldn't put him back on a blood thinner and the doctor said that was before I knew all the facts, didn't share what they were and Fred didn't ask but then the doctor said this is America and if you don't want to take it I'm okay with that as we can't guarantee you won't bleed again even though the ulcer has healed. So Fred said well I don't want to take it so he said okay no problem and I'll see you in a year.

do you have a garage with outside lights. we don't have a motion light. don has our outside garage lights rigged to stay on for at least 3 minutes till we get in the house. maybe one of the kids or dgs can rigged something like that up for you. only a suggestion. harvest moon phyl

Phyl, I turn my outside light on when I leave knowing it will be dark when I get home. The thing is no one would see me if I tripped going up the steps to my kitchen door. I have an open carport but the way our houses are on this road a neighbor would have to make an effort to come in my yard and round to the side to see me. My cell phone will only text outside my house. Maybe the smart phone coming will have more service.
I am walking OK since I started going to the gym. Just know my age is prone to accidents.

I'm back.
Connie, how did your first injection go? Hope it didn't hurt. Did they spray-freeze the site first?
Speaking of computer issues, our desktop computer updated yesterday, and now the full-size keyboard won't work. Grrr!
Phyl, there is a thread asking if anyone has heard from Maxine. I mentioned that you are in contact with her.
Sandy, so glad your DH didn't decide to take the blood thinner. In the end, he listened to you, didn't he?
Made a quick run to Walmart this morning where I bought three packs (36) roses for Mom. When I arrived home, though, the vase would only hold 18. So I have a nice arrangement for DMIL as well as for Mom.
DH decided to go with me to The Parents' house. He used some of Dad's shop equipment to create a walnut base for a piece he cut off the furnace that was just replaced in his parents home (now rented). It was installed in 1954 when the house was built, and was still working when taken out last week. The repairman called it a dinosaur. But I digress . . . DSisIL wanted a piece of it as a memory. DH cut off a piece of pipe and is going to mount it on the walnut base for her as a birthday present. Said she can use it for a candy dish.
So . . . I took the roses along with cookies and some tiny cupcakes to visit Mom. She was doing really well. She rolled her hair while I was there, and I painted her fingernails. Her pastor was visiting when I arrived. He had a cupcake with us. The staff came in and brought a balloon. I tied that to her wheelchair. They sang happy birthday to her. I read her birthday cards to her. Hated to leave she was having such a good time. We will take DD and the girls for another little party in her room on Saturday.
This is goodnight from me. See you tomorrow! --Molly

molly I haven't talked to dessie for a few weeks. I needs someone to send me directions for getting on proboards and the wwmessageboard. need the step by step directions. her son has tried . I don't know what tom put in but he kept getting not a safe site. been so long since I did it I don't remember how.
peggysue one time I had a tooth and the dentist could not find it even with the x-rays. one night I was at the neighbors and tapped it with my finger, just about went through the ceiling. he knew what it was then. took another x-ray and it showed up. had to have the tooth pulled as it was going dead. sometimes stuff doesn't show up on x-rays for awhile.
I even had a crown put on one time. my lip went big a couple of days later. the dentist had treated the post (front tooth.)he told me it has to do with the gasses. sometimes even treating it doesn't work.
so far no pain form the injections.
hope to see the harvest moon tonight. I thas clouded over and we got rain. hope it clears up. harvest moon phyl

Connie,
I hope the shot in your knee will help relieve the pain you are having. Did the doctor tell you how often you can get the shots? I got shots in my knee about every three months for several years before I finally had to have the knee replacement surgery.

My computer won't let me change the color tonight again...ugh! Jim got his prosthesis today and it is very comfortable but he is not allowed to stand up on it yet. He has to take a class first. In the meantime he is to put it on twice a day for 30 mins, each time and can increase to 1 hour if he wants. So, we are excited about that. I will call tomorrow to get his an appt. for the class. Got more activity points for raking again today!! PeggySue, I sure wish I could lose like you are doing. I just can't center my brain on doing things right.
Tucking you all in now in ORANGE blankets. Sweet dreams.

The PA felt my knee all over until she found the spot she was looking for, that part did give me a twinge, then she marked it, sprayed with the stuff that numbs it, and said you will feel a pinch which I hardly felt at all, the shot did not hurt or burn. Put a bandage on it and later when I took it off there was one little spot of blood on it. No problem with hurting at the site and she said to put ice on it if it was sore later. didn't have to. did go to dinner with DGD#1 and we had a lot of laughs and a good meal.
Sandy, so proud of Fred for his handling of the Dr. I am sure you were too.
Molly glad your Mom was doing well today, the birthday celebration sounds like a success. My Mom's 97 in the rehab was a bust. Felt so sorry for her, she always loved birthdays but was pretty much out of it. Not a good memory. Those are the ones I try to forget.
I thought Maxine's son said she was not to try again for Pro Boards?
Doris, these shots are lubrication and you get one shot a week for 3 weeks, Not like cortisone that is only for pain. This is to slow down the arthritis. It sometimes takes 4 more weeks after the 3rd shot to know if it is going to work. Haven't told me if I can get them again or not. Will ask down the line.

This is what the moon looks like here tonight. More of a silvery moon, with clouds passing across.

I can see the moon here. It is awesome.
Boy do I have a lot to learn about using the smartphone. Still have the old one as we had to get a new phone number. The old one is on DD's plan and we would have had to have all her info so....
Goodnight
