Getting another jumpstart on my Monday.
Today: Stay OP for the first day of the semester. How: Have my breakfast & morning snack prepared.. Have one or two ideas for lunch & dinner. THe Pioneer Woman actually demonstrated a recipe that didn't call for a stick of butter. Drained can of cannoli bean, heat in a fry pan, smash a few of the beans. Add a handful or two of spinach leaves. Wilt spinach. Squeeze on fresh lemon. Will probably add a tsp of olive oil & add some garlic powder & onion powder. Could even add 2/3 oz of lean ham and onion.
Have a great Monday everyone! Will CBL later.

June, have a great first day of your new semester. That recipe sounds really good. Cannelini beans have such a good flavor and paired with spinach, they would be excellent. I have a board meeting this morning and then my older daughter, daughter-in-law and I are taking my younger daughter to lunch to celebrate her birthday. The restaurant has several good options. I'm making mushroom barley soup for dinner with extra mushrooms. It's an old WW recipe. Hi to all who follow.

I still need to go back and read yesterday's thread. Good luck June on your return to work. Happy birthday to your younger daughter Audrey. I was very happy with the Packers/Giants game but it was an otherwise very draining day, physically and mentally. I have great choices in the house to pull together a plan that will nourish both my body and soul. Just need to make that plan.

Good morning, all!
I'm heading to the MousekeHouse today, for the first fully-on-duty MousekeSitting session since the Monday before Christmas (I'm not sure either I or the Mice are quite ready...).
June, sending good "back to school" thoughts...
Audrey, happy birthday to your DD! Have a wonderful day with "your girls"!
Susi, sending restorative thoughts to you today...
WHAT: I just woke up and I'm tired already. I hope this isn't something that some random small child has shared (none of them at the party appeared ill...). Must Take Care of Mj while taking care of the Mice (and the DayJob, of course).
HOW: Bkfst is planned. Lunch is planned and will be packed. Dinner is planned; part of it is chicken prepared by MissMouse. I'll also be chugging water; perhaps this feeling of malaise is also the residue of Saturday's indulgences (some of which were NOT worth it and will not be repeated, some of which were).
Have a healthy-eating day, all!

Good morning-
Audrey- have a fun time as you celebrate your youngest DD's birthday. Beyond a lo-salt beef broth, barley, mushrooms, carrots, onions, & celery, what is in your old WW recipe? Some of those old recipes are well worth pulling out and putting into the rotation.
Susi- sighing... that heavy snow thrown by a plow is a ***** to shovel. Did you soak in the tub afterwards? Having smart choices on hands is a smart way to control your environment. That was some game. I was rooting for the Pacers just a little more than the Giants.
Mj- sure hope that you are not fighting off some "bug," or if you are, that you do. Hope that you & the lil ones easily fall into your normal routine w/o much trouble. There is a backlash effect of eating the kind of stuff that seldom finds it way into your body now, and certainly not in large amounts. Hope that you feel more like "you" later to day!
Feels like minus 1 here-- putting on my Cuddle Duds and heading to work soon. CBL later...

Good morning all. June wishing you smooth sailing on your first day back to school! Hope it passes quickly for you.
Audrey today is a great soup day. Wishing your daughter a happy bday! I love mushrooms and June, I love those beans!
Susi hope you find today to be less draining.
MJ hope you are just tired and not coming down with anything. It's hard to stay healthy at times.
Hi Naomi. I never did get back to you yesterday about the chocolate bits in my tea and hot chocolate. I just add the mini morsels that you use for baking. Just a few is all you need.
Today will be spent doing a few chores and running errands. At least it's not snowing, but it is cold!
Waving to AWF.
