I did put it on reserve at my public library, but would not buy it. I just wan to look at it. Not a big Oprah fan. From reviews I've read, too many expensive ingredients, recipes with lots of ingredients and no NI. I don't understand why WW is promoting it other than Oprah holds 10% of the stock. I think the average WW member wants to cook a meal that is WW friendly that the whole family will enjoy.
At my center it was 39.95 or close, cheaper on Amazon and Costco by a lot.
I can also get great WW recipes on line, try Gina's Skinny Taste, good recipes, NI and points. Plus ingredients you can get at your local grocery without mortgaging the house.

Celebrity cookbooks don't usually include NI because they're really selling a lifestyle and not health information. Her book includes points because it's a way to promote WW and would be hypocritical if she didn't include such information. So why did she include calories? Probably for the same reason she included points. Health information is not the priority for this cookbook. I was mistaken, there is one oven fried chicken recipe and one actual fried chicken recipe. This a celebrity cookbook not necessarily a healthy one.

I agree with a lot of the points stated above. #1 - This is a book about Oprah more than a weight loss (or even recipe) book. I'm not a huge fan of Oprah so frankly I'm not interested in her life. #2 - Lack of nutritional information is unacceptable. Many so-called "celebrity" cookbooks do include that info now. Also, many of us have to track other things besides points due to health reasons - cholesterol and sodium come to mind. #3 - Quite a few recipes with 20-30 ingredients and some were downright unappealing. As a single person, I just don't cook that way - but hey, for those who do, more power to ya!! I hope that when you have a chance to try some of the recipes, you'll come back and tell us how they tasted!
And as long as I'm whining (LOL), I'd also like to note that WW has a new little meal planning book, but you can only get it as part of the "bundle". WHY WW WHY? That looks like a great book, just as good as the new materials they gave us for 2017! Guess I'll have to resort to buying it on eBay like I've done with some other WW materials in the past. I remember when we used to get little recipe books all the time at meetings. Now they want to go BEYOND THE SCALE but we still have to eat! I'm just not fan-girling on all this touchy-feely stuff. Give me tools I need to succeed, and one of those tools is good recipes!

The last chapter has 18 recipes for delicious salads between 1-8 points per serving. Most are 1-5 per serving but the ones with more points are heartier and contain grains. This chapter alone makes the book worth the cost for me.

A friend of mine is continually taking cooking classes at Sur La Table. The recently started offering a class titled "Oprah's Health & Delicious Recipes." She took the class last week, and yesterday she was enthusiastic about three of the four recipes. As it turns out, all four recipes come from the new cookbook.

I agree about the soup chapter. I finished reading the book and now I will find recipes to try. Many are aimed toward summer produce but the tomato soup, which is just 3 points a serving, suggests roasting tomatoes when they are not at their peak which would be now.
