SANDY- Wow. You have really been thru it. But it sure looks like you've handled it all with incredible grace. Don't stress too much over the business aspect of it all. It will work out.
I "ate like a big dog" yesterday. Couldn't stay out of the cheeseball. Actual dinner wasn't much problem, but the snack table before/after dinner was my nemesis. Will cook turkey for Joe and I today. I ate ham yesterday. Thanks to the sodium, and all those sweets, I was up yet again today. Oh well, I know how to fix it.
Fell asleep at 8pm and slept till 6:15am. Forgot to do my 21 day arm challenge. Pretty sad. Day 4 and I have to start over. I need a chart posted!

LOUISE – fiesta blend grated cheese. It’s what I had on hand and was mostly Monterey jack.
STEPH the homemade creamed corn sounds great. Love those starchy carbs you know, lol.
No betting going on with the exception of this this group – and I better get cracking on that. I got another invite for a step challenge and that’s not happening either. I’m doing the 21 day arm challenge though… on track with that at least! Yesterday I had a taste of my all my favorites and enjoyed it. I can skip the desserts; give me those candied yams and dressing, lol.
I have a good amount of fall decorations up and those won’t be coming down quite yet, nor Christmas going up. I tend not to decorate a lot when I’m not going to be here, and this year I plan to be gone.
SANDY sounds like you made the best of a challenging weekend. I’m so glad that the decisions you made for the funeral were not challenged or griped about. Your Mom would be glad of that. Take your time with your Mom’s house and do what you can, when you can. There will be times when you just have to walk away and take a break….that sort of thing can get so overwhelming. As Connie said, it will work it, and it does take time.
LOL CONNIE - I DID print off a chart! I needed to write down my start date and check off each day or forget completely.
BECKY you’ll get that off in no time. Glad you enjoyed your Thanksgiving day. Oh, and I won’t be weighing in until my normal WI day next week!
I’ve managed to get my bed changed, put a load of laundry in the washer, clean the litter box and take out the trash. At least the ground was hard and I could wheel across it and tossed the bag over the fence. It’s the lifting my scooter up and down/over the steps that takes up the energy. I plan to drive over to my friend Rhonda’s house for leftover lunch and tour their pasture land a bit in their new side-by-side. It will be nice to get outside. And she lives WAY outside of any city limits or shopping areas so there is no traffic to deal with.
Tomorrow I plan to piddle about here… Christmas cards, order a few gifts, that sort of thing.
Enjoy the day all!

Alive and well. Thanksgiving dinner was quite the success. Oh and Meridith's pregnant. She and Chris had been debating. So they went to a fertility specialist who basically told her "good luck with that!" She's been on the pill ALMOST non stop since age 14 when she had terrrrribly issues w/ her period and cramps and vomiting. I kept having to pick her up at school 1 day/month of it started on a school day. So she went off the pills and never had a period. went back to the fertility guy who said well... that's not unusual. Just wait it out. You could take 6 months to have a period. So SHE went home and decided to do a pregnancy test. YUP. TEXAS HEALTH CARE I TELL YA!!!! The "specialist" didn't even bother w/ a pregnancy test. She is now 2 months pregnant and her OB (not specialist) figured she was at least 5 weeks along when she saw the specialist. Shameful. What if she'd gone on having cocktails etc? Crazy I tell ya. She's not having morning sickness; just extremely tired.
I had the worst night last night. I went to bed and my heart started racing. And I had this awful feeling of impending doom. I think I was dehydrated since I hit the floor running when i woke up yesterday, had 2 coffees and then 1 wine spritzer w/ dinner and nothing else. So I drank a bunch of water between 1 and 2 AM and finally fell asleep. I feel beat up now. Mer and Christopher leave in about 2 hours since she has to go to work!

Pray for me. Heading to the mall with two 13 yr old girls. They'll go their way and I'll go mine. The only reason I'm taking them is the brother backed out and I am not comfortable with my girl being at the mall today "alone". Lord, Jesus, help me.
BBL....I hope

Yay LOUISE! I'm sure that's a huge relief!
I have been upstairs quilting all day. It's looking good, but progress is slow.
I got online early today and saw that the organizers I like for fabric were a doorbuster item on Joann Fabric's website. I bought myself a Christmas present. 😊
Put a couple of frozen turkey breasts in the crockpot and made them for the weekend. But tonight, we are picking up several friends and heading an hour west to a sports bar for supper. In fact, I need to go start getting ready.
DH spent the day dry fitting marble tile in the back entryway. We had EXACTLY enough tile to do the job. Next he will glue it down, and then grout. It looks SO MUCH BETTER than the crappy layers of broken vinyl that have been there since we moved in. I couldn't be more pleased.

LOUISe good for you. Even when you know you're 100% in the right, dealing w/ IRS issues hanging over your head is stressful. it's like this background stress that keep on going. And yeah the cousins will be 1 year apart, but both July babies. What I think is funny, is that when she went to see her new Nephew a few weeks ago, she was pregnant and didn't even realize it.
Hope STEPH is hanging in there and getting some mall walking in.
CONNIE that's great that this project, once started, is moving along so quickly.
I really do like having a crowd over for celebrations. And I really do like peace and quiet! I'm an old fart at heart!!

I am so glad things went smoothly for you Sandy.(((Hugs)))You shouldn't need to feel like you need to do something about your weight right now.Do something for you.
I didn't even weigh today Connie after the buffet yesterday.
Suze I cancelled my diet bets.No use doing them this time of year.
Congrats to Meredith and Chris.Another grandchild Celeste. At least this one will live closer.
There is no way in he** I would go to the mall on a Black Friday. The only place I went was HEB.
Great news Louise.
Old Fart better get ready to be g'ma again.
I found an Instant Pot on walmart.com for $49 so I ordered it.It will be an early Christmas present.

Home. This is why I don't go out on BLACK FRIDAY.....the girls & I went our separate ways. I headed to Macy's. Just standing off to the side of the isle to let people walk by. Was walking on the RIGHT side as we've always been taught and this 6 ft+, 200+ man knocked into me and just kept moving. I mean he physically pushed through me. I yelled at him "Dude, not ok!" People just looked and moving along. I went downstairs in the women's section to get out of the way before I caused a scene. Other than that and the lines being too long, it wasn't too bad. I won't be doing that again any time soon.
Sandy, glad everyone was accepting and didn't cause you any more stress. As long as you don't have deadlines, take your time on the things you need. As you move through and process everthing, there will be days it will hit hard now that she's gone. And you can jump back on the wagon when you're ready.
Becky, you seem to be doing well with your maintenance on WW. How are you feeling?
Celeste, aka Lola, CONGRATS on being a g'ma again. When I got off the pill to try for baby #1, it did take a few years to get pregnant with Z. But with A, I told DH I wanted one more and the next month I was pregnant. It happens when it happens.
Well, I have a headache. Go figure. Hope everyone is enjoying the day. BBL

BECKy that's a great price on the IP!! I use mine frequently in the slow cooker mode but I need to step up my pressure cooker game. People that use them really like them for the pressure cooker mode. I asked Bob for a air fryer. Not sure why since I don't fry much w/ or w/o oil, however I have a few friends who swear by them.
STEPH I LOVE your response to that ill mannered-raised-by-wolves lunkhead. So much like what I would have done (add some expletives from me however). And so right as for happening when it happens. That old "best laid plans" often going awry, and when they go awry... that's EXACTLY what should have happened.
After that awful night last night (3 hours 58 min sleep) I think I'm taking today as my StepBet day off. I got 8K steps just hostessing and cooking yesterday, already got in my 9500 step "stretch days" but I'd need over 5K steps to make my 7500 today and I just don't have it in me.
SANDY I like your emoji's today. I'll take 2 choc chip cookies and a donut... and a taco to go please.
