LOUISE I'm sorry you have the crud but GLAD you're not trying to "tough it out". We do learn eventually don't we? But (fingers crossed) I'm feeling better this AM so hoping it was allergies. Good score in the Heartguard! That stuff is expensive.
So Ryan emailed me to say he's sick as a dog, as is Roland. Upper respiratory crud. At least this way if I DO have a cold, they won't get it from me. He said they've had no time to do any house cleaning (gee both working crazy hours? WHY NOT? ) It makes my deep cleaning Christmas gift to them x2 even MORE wonderful IMHO. I told him I'm going up to celebrate Christmas and to help out. NOT to criticize housekeeping. I'm an AWFUL housekeeper. When my kids were small, I didn't work, had a housekeeper every week and my house STILL looked a mess. Also once Ryan started pre-school 3 mornings a week at age 2 1/2, he was constantly having colds and ear aches, and I also constantly had colds. I felt that, at age 30-35 when my kids were little, I didn't remember EVER being so sick so often. Add to it, at the holidays, you tend to go go go go and not get rest, and everyone is inside coughing on each other. UGH. If I could get my $$ back, I think ALL of us would be happy if I stayed home. I know I would. Off to WW. Wish I weren't so constipated. Oh well next week should be a good WI (well if you don't count holiday foods)

LOUISE are you on ABX yet? Or have you started your nebulizer treatments?
I was down 2.0 lbs this week and 2.2 lbs last week. 4.2 lbs in 2 weeks is good but it surely isn't weight watchers. This low FODMAP thing. It's a lot like LCHF but a LOT less variety and amount of veggies. BUT I can have a potato a day (trust me, I'm having one every other day), and I'm having about 4 slices GF bread a day. Mostly my days are eggs, eggs, more eggs, GF bread. Both prepared w/ butter. Then dinner tends to be 1/4 head of iceberg lettuce and a tomato and some grilled protein. So I can see why I am losing. I'm probably eating 1200-1500 calories/day (guestimate). Anyway, will this be the 1st Christmas where I actually LOSE WEIGHT? Stay tuned.

My sleep schedule is so screwed up. My nap lasted 5 hours. Now I will be awake all night. Since I am supposed to be fasting before my Life Insurance physical, that will be a tall order. So I called the guy and told him I need to reschedule. I mean, the first time it didn't happen it was THEIR fault, this time it's mine.
I had visions of getting up and making meatloaf and mashed potatoes for DH when he got home. So. Not. Happening. I feel like Ive been hit by a train. Just the sleep deprivation. (And some sinus congestion.) I feel almost drunk. Once I wake up, I need to clean so the place looks presentable for when my friend comes over tomorrow.
CELESTE- Your poor son! To have the whole family sick for Rolo McFlurrie's first Christmas! So annoying! And I'm giving you permission to adopt me and get me a deep cleaning for next year.

Congrats on your loss Celeste.It seems like you are already doing Freestyle with what you are eating.I hope you can have a good trip despite them being sick.I'm sure they will appreciate your help.You aren't eating enough to gain this Christmas.

CONNIE I'm making your Dutch meatloaf tomorrow. W/ accordion cut potatoes and the ever present iceberg salad (maybe go nuts and roast some zucchini). And I know when I had little kids, having a housekeeper made my life SO dang much easier and I didn't work; I don't know how they do it. But I know people do it every day.
BECKY let me tell you if I ever get to the point that I can eat legumes AND more veggies, I'm going to kick FREESTYLE in the ass.

LOUISE my poor sistah!! But, color me NOT SURPRISED!!
I was GOING to make the Dutch meatloaf tonight but... hard to do w/ FROZEN GROUND BEEF. So I threw together home made tomato soup (Lg can San Marzano tomatoes, oregano, basil, S&P, thyme and water..... heat, puree and then add a bit of canned coconut milk. Immersion blender. VOILA. THen we had oven fries and BLT's (GF bread). Ya know? It was better than the meatloaf... or actually it just hit the dang spot. Soup and sammies w/ fries? mmmmmmmmmmm
I'm going to get ready for bed in a few. I think tomorrow I'll pack (better since I leave the next day). Night all.

Great time at library- then 3 families n children to golden chick for lunch- I drank diet dp n visited
Katy doll closet finished - dale made 2 1 full 10 dressy doll outfits 1 full of casual , cheerleading n dr/ nurse outfits
Tonight dale n I watched shadow riders Tom Selleck and Sam Elliotπ

LOUISE besides your pocketbook, I think good sleep is good for body and soul. And your body NEEDS pampering right now.
I slept fairly well. No reflux and cramping so that's GOOD. I absolutely AM going to pack today. I don't want to be doing it while my ride is honking his horn to take me to the airport! UGH I was already dreading flying over the holidays. Add to that 2 sickies when I get there. MOVE OVER LOUISE.... I'm getting in bed with you and pulling the covers over my head.

I slept 3 hours 52 minutes.
Got up and painted a cabinet Ive been meaning to get to. Cleaned my house and sewing room since my friend is coming over. It annoys me, but DH and I are both guilty of piling things around the house, rather than putting them where they go. Then there are piles of things we don't quite know what to do with or can't find a good spot for. It's a habit I really need to work on. Would make the place look so much better and be much easier to clean.
Have changed the sheets and am doing MASSIVE amounts of laundry. Will go see Star Wars tonight. Hope to get a nap in. But that might mess up tonight's sleep.
Did I mention that my boss texted me yesterday out of the blue sand asked if I was still liking midnights? Rather than answer, I asked him why he asked. He said he just wanted to check in because we don't have much communication. My instincts told me to call "Pants on fire!", but I thanked him for asking and said I liked it. Well, last night I stopped by work for a little Christmas get together and mentioned the text and my mistrust to the gals working nights. One of the girls confessed that she had just turned in her 2 weeks notice. So, I wonder why the boss didn't mention that there was a position on evenings opening up if we wanted to come off of midnights? I don't want to come off midnights.....but if I did, I'd be peeved that he wasn't straight with me.

CONNIE! That's my issue. I'm clean (I know, easy to say when I have a weekly housekeeper) but I'm a STACKER. I have a stack of "things to get to" here and a stack of recipes there. A stack of cruise related stuff over there. A stack of mail that I don't want to throw away but not sure what to do with over here. A stack of books I've read but haven't posted online.... a stack of books I want to read NEXT, paid bills, unpaid bills, bills I have to call about, coupons... many of them expired, (90% of my stacks are paperwork related).
OK so my goal as I read this? Get rid of ONE stack. Start small. One stack. Then pack.

Good morning,
Just realized that I did not get on at all yesterday. Went and got my blood work for next week's thyroid visit. WalMart and spent way too much $$$. Then Z & I had an argument. He said something and I took it a certain way and said something back. That boy & I are so alike in personality. I hate it when we argue.....BUT....we talked it out and got back on the same page. He's so much more mature at 18 than I was.
Have to take my car in this afternoon for an oil change. DH wanted me to do it before heading to Dallas tomorrow. I'll hit the grocery store up after, which I know I'm going to hate, but that's how it's going to work out today. Z will pick up A for the first time. This will be his job when they go back to school. I told him I'd help with gas $$.
Taking a break from wrapping some gifts. I need to see what other last items I need to pick up. I think I can walk to the book store while my car is being serviced. It's so nice out right now.
