Good morning Deb. Dina and Linda - That's awesome! I have done a number of F2F over the years and remain close with many. The gal I am going to Las Vegas with I met on the boards and later IRL> Good luck Kathy! It's two meals out today which I don't like to do but my old boss looks forward to our Friday lunch and tonight is a charity event. I'll get through it.

I have two kids out today with the stomach bug. Anyone know how to set off a Lysol bomb?
I'm doing a little better. Food is staying down- still on crackers and rice. The other end is slower but still runny. I'm at work but have a 5 hour drive up home.
We both have to drive tonight because we are selling my MIL car to a friend back there. FINALLY! It's only been 1 1/2 years. DH is very slow at letting things go. I think we've spent more on insuring, housing and inspecting it then we are going to get for it, but at least it will be out of the garage.

DebDoesWW Yes, no rain today. In fact, the sun is out and we're drying up a little. Yea! DGS is spending the night with us while his sister goes to the Father/Daughter dance at their school and DD is in charge of decorations. DGS will enjoy pizza with Pop and me and we'll play some video games together. It will be a fun night for all. Dina and Linda - enjoy your F2F! How fun. Kathy, good luck with the 2nd injection. Hoping for more good results! TGIF!!

Happy Friday everyone! I am also wearing black today.
I've been dealing with IT here at the University for the past two days. They changed a way a report I need is run and hence the output data is different format, I can't sort it, and I am unable to use it to upload. It's about 600 lines of data and there is NO WAY I can type all that! UGH!!! So frustrating!
MIL is feeling much better. They lowered her BP meds and that seemed to do the trick! Thank goodness. Today is the halfway point in her treatment! Four more weeks to go!
I'm planning to attend a local woman's march tomorrow with the BFF.
I hope you all have a GREAT weekend!

Good morning all. DebDoesWW, it's raining here again and expected to do so through Sunday. Soon I may place an order for a custom ark! dina, I hope you and lmenglish have a great visit with each other. ksbruns, Kathy I'm confident round 2 will be as easy and successful as round 1. hpeterson1951, I hope you at least recoup your costs for maintaing your MIL's car. I was lucky that my mother's car was only a year old and finance. I simply stopped paying the monthly bill, notified them of her death, and eventually negotiated for them to pick it up, auction it off, and then negotiated a partial payoff of the balance.
The morning TV was just interrupted for an emergency announcement of impending flash flooding in southeast Santa Clara County in the Morgan Hill area. Last week it was in Hollister, southeast of Morgan Hill. I hope it doesn't flood too badly. Prior to this season I don't recall ever hearing of flooding in that area. After visiting the Diabetes doc yesterday, I ended up fitted with a continuous blood glucose monitor for a week's trial. Apparently Medicare will pay for the week's trial, but won't pay for the device, or for the supplies going forward. The little graph it displays is very interesting in terms of seeing what the BS did from dinner last night through breakfast this morning. I looks like a roller coaster at an amusement park! I have about an hour before I launch myself and head to the library. Tomorrow is our monthly book sale which is pretty large. We sell in four different areas of the library with four sets of volunteers including cashiers. Today, instead of our usual book wrangling and sorting work, the time will be spent setting up for the sale. The good part is that we get to come together as a group for lunch; it is the only time in the month that many of the volunteers from different areas of our ongoing operation see each other face to face. The weekend is a blank slate at this point. I will likely need to get out of the house so I don't go stir crazy. A visit to a mall, or a movie, or lunch—or all three—may end up being the agenda.

dina That sounds so nice that you will meet a WW online friend. I have so many online friends on another website forum that I've known for almost 10 years. Most live far from me. I think it's great when you can connect with one or more.
I haven't been myself lately. Not up to doing much at all. And yet I sort of locked myself into making a turkey dinner for my hubby, dad and brother. And when I have guests I always go overboard and get all nervous and frantic about it. The turkey has been defrosting in the fridge for 5 dayd and it was in the freezer for a long time. I'm worried it's freezer burnt. I have a plan in place so that if I discover it is that I will quickly go to the store and buy a ham. All of the sides/other courses I am planning would go with either meal other than the preparation of the potatoes. I plan to make the soup, a side, and the dessert today. The first two can just be reheated tomorrow. Obviously the rest of the courses/sides will be made tomorrow.
