We are walkers, joggers, bicyclists, and some do other exercise. We set goals and keep track by miles. You can set your goal for any amount, count your miles any way you wish. The goal is consistency with exercise.
We started Jan. 20, 2003 on the WW Challenge Central Board as "250 Miles by June 1" & we've done 35 five-month walking challenges, including the one we finished Oct 1, 2016.
The group challenge is to average about 2 miles a day, 13 miles a week, or 50 miles a month; if you do it, in 5 months you will have walked 250 miles, and if you have stuck with the challenge and a healthy eating program for that 5 months, you will see wonderful changes in your health, fitness, and size!
Some people will finish well before the target date & will go for more or another 250 miles, but others will go at a slower pace, and new members will join along the way, so each member is welcome to set her/his own personal goal and target date. The new group challenge which started Oct 1, 2016, is "250 Miles by March 1, 2017."

Good Morning!!
My weekend was not the best eating wise. I had the munchies for some reason. I had a nice time on Saturday took 3 of my great nieces( sisters) bowling while their mom and her boyfriend went to the hospital to pick up on of the twins. The other had to stay as she had a breathing episode on Thursday evening. Hopefully, she will be home tomorrow evening. My sister in law and my husband her sister, and I over for a turkey dinner yesterday afternoon. No exercise yesterday.
Nancy: Good job getting your miles in.
Cait: We must have been having the same vibes for the weekend. I was into snacks that were gifts also.
Ruth: Hope you are feeling better today. Hopefully next weekend all your family can get together with the new babies.
Amy: Enjoy your treadmill.
Waving to all. Happy walking and skinny vibes too.

Good afternoon,
I haven't been able to post since Saturday , I guess the wind had messed up the tower. We get ours with a satellite . Anyway I walked two miles Saturday and three yesterday , two this morning.
Kelly I hope the other baby gets to come home soon. I am sure the sisters are having fun with the new baby. GFY taking them bowling.
Amy glad you are getting a TM. That way you can walk when you want to.
Cait did your sister get off?
Ruth hope you are feeling better. You are going to have so much fun with grand babies that close in age, so will they. I had my granddaughter and my nephews granddaughter Saturday , they have so much fun together, his is one year older than mine. They play good together. The wind was blowing so bad they had to play inside so they played the WII.

Good Evening Walkers!
No exercise Sunday but we walked 3.6 miles Saturday to & along the beach & to lunch & back. This am I marched in place 20 mins = 1 mile.
Eating was not good Friday & Sat - ate junk food at the office Fri & at home Sat âšī¸ Sunday was better - I was in my yellow zone of pts. On track for my green zone today. ------------------------------- JAN PR CHALLENGE: So far this Month out of 22 days: Green zone pts: 10 At least 1 mi per day: 18 JGTB: 19 ------------------------------- It rained Sunday here in SoCal like crazy. You probably saw it on the news. We got a leak in our ceiling in the living room - dining room. Rain water came through the paint, making big bubbles in the paint. DH had to puncture the bubbles to let the water out slowly. We have 2 buckets on the floor. Worries about new flooring. A little smell of mildew đ New paint job will have to be repaired. We knew we needed roof work and termite repair, but this is the first leak we've had except for the leak we had in the bedroom window casing a month ago. That was repaired. We also have a leak in the garage which hopefully will be solved by replacing the ceiling exhaust fan.
AMY - too funny "captivity room" (activity) đ I'm glad you're going to have your TM & cable TV.
NANCY - Good work with the Miles on weekend & today! How fun that sounds with your DGD & nephews DGD.
RUTH - GFY going back to WW. That will help you get back on track.
KELLY - ah the old weekend issue. At least you had fun with the great nieces.
Waving at everyone! Have a great day!

Good Morning!!
I had a pretty good day WW wise yesterday. I also managed a 2 mile WATP after some errands I had to run last night.
Amy: You will enjoy your treadmill. I have one but do not use it too often. I prefer my WATP DVDs, although I do like if I have not had a chance to get in a workout and there is something on TV. Then I jump on the treadmill and walk while watching.
Cait: Oh boy, sorry about your weekend eating wise and the water damage.
Nancy: Good job with your miles. Don't blow away. It's been rainy here and yesterday very windy. No sunshine since Thursday.
Waving to all. Have a great day. Happy walking and skinny vibes too.

Good morning. WW meeting was good, I was up 2.2 but that was since the Sunday before Christmas so I was actually happy it was not worse! Then I came home and did nothing. Yesterday I went to 30/30 class (30 min spin and 30 min weight lifting) in the morning and planned on going to yoga after work but DD was in a bad way. The baby is only 8 days old so DD hormones are a little crazy. The baby does not sleep so that doesn't help at all. I asked if she wanted to come stay here for a couple of days, it would help if we helped with the baby. So anyway I went there instead for a little while. We were having a terrible nor'easter.
Kelly, that was nice you kept the kids while they picked up one of the twins, must have been hard to leave the other tho!
Amy, that will be good so you can use the treadmill and watch tv at the same time.
Nancy, this wind has been crazy here with the storm. It is almost over now, luckily I have not seen trees down or anything so far.
Cait, good for you shaking off the bad eating and moving on in a positive direction!!! It is so hard when you get 'off' to get back on.

This am I am marching in place before going to Dr for follow up re the R ankle cellulitis, which is almost gone. I did stay in my green zone of pts and I did JGTB. ------------- JAN PR CHALLENGE: So far this Month out of 23 days: Green zone pts: 11 At least 1 mi per day: 19 JGTB: 20 ------------- I've had a scratchy throat for a week. Sucking on sugar free Coldeeze. It has not progressed !
KELLY - hope baby Isabelle (?) can come home soon. GFY WATP despite being tired.
RUTH - the WI shows you did pretty darn well with choices during a multi stressful period - 2 holidays & DD & baby! Sending prayers for DD & baby & you!

Good evening,
Kelly glad you had a good day yesterday and getting back in your routine, sometimes it is really hard to do.
Ruth a small gain thru the holidays and all you have going is great. GFY going back to WW, meetings always help me.
Cait hope your throat is better. GFY staying in your zone and getting some miles.
I walked three miles today, I am trying to catch up on my miles so I make 250 by the end of the challenge. I think I figured if I walk three miles the rest of this month I can cut back to two miles a day next month although three is probably better for me. Nancy

Good Morning!!
I walked 2.5 miles on the treadmill last evening for a change. Moving on to today, eating was a disaster yesterday. Lots of senseless eating of not good food choices. Going to be in the 50's today and then get colder for awhile. Baby Isabelle did come home yesterday. I am sure it was a fun night. I plan to go visit for a little this evening.
Cait: Good job with the exercise and staying in your green zone.
Waving to all!! Happy walking and skinny vibes to all!! Ruth: That is a great WI. It is AWESOME that you are helping your daughter. Hope the baby settles into a routine soon.
Nancy: Great job with keeping up with your miles.

Good morning. DD decided to stay with us, I don't know for how long but I hope at least a couple of days. She seemed more relaxed just being around people. The baby is so cute!! My son, DIL and other new baby might come this weekend too HOW FUN!!!! It depends on what that baby's dr says, she had RSV in her little nose so she is going back to dr today. She is 6 weeks old now. The one here is 10 days old.
Cait: Everyone seems to have some kind of cold/flu thing. It is awful. Hope the scratchiness goes away. Glad the ankle is getting back to normal.
Nancy: Good job stepping it up to three, you could keep it that way too so you have a cushion...
Kelly: Exciting about visiting the baby. I'm sure they will be happy to show her off.
