Connie...glad to hear that last night went better than expected at work. JT...had not thought about not being able to knit with your cast, but it may be good therapy later hope you get some rest over the weekend. Becky...I love Brooks athletic shoes. Supportive but comfortable. Celeste...it does take forever to grow nails out. And like you said...pool season takes a toll, too. I have 3 nekkid nails right now....so I slopped some strengthening stuff on them. May give me the courage to just get the old gel off & leave them that way & see how it goes. Much as I love the look & feel of fresh nails, it is pricey & time consuming to maintain. Went out to our fave local pizza place tonight....had not been there in ages. On a decluttering roll....got a couple of drawers cleaned out & have only 1 more tote of stuff that I brought home from school to go thru. Took a load to the recycling center today & have a stack for the goodwill, too. No BlueBloods tonight....boo!!!

JT Got your email. It's funny how we take things for granted when one of our limbs is out of whack! Like knitting, typing, cooking, driving.
OH NO.... not the dangerous contraband PICKLES SUZE!!! I can see him in jail right now What are you in for? MURDER... WHAT ARE YOU IN FOR? Pickles.
BECKY since I can't have watermelon anymore I guess my fave melon would now be honeydew but it has to be VERY RIPE but not overly ripe. I had it crunchy and if it's too ripe it is kind of VOMITTY!!! hahaha And yeah I guess I'll have to transport my pickles IN MY TUMMY (now I'm craving pickles!)
ANGIE I just HATE that down time getting a mani/pedi. I don't enjoy massages so I don't like all that crap which you pay for whether you get massaged or not. I do like a pedi now and then mostly b/c from going barefoot or in flip flops my feeeeetsss look pretty unattrqactive on the heels. And I can't see for crap to get all my toes painted if I do it myself. Besides contorting to get to my pinky toes.
STEPH our HOA does 2 garage sales/year. They advertise, provide us w/ signs and there are maps for shoppers to pick up so they can find us. I wish I WERE organized enough to take advantage of it. But I like to get rid of things NOW so I wind up donating just to get rid of stuff. I could make a MINT though.
SANDY at least if the diet recommendation comes from a "medical professional" instead of a WIFE maybe he'll give it a try.
OK so my goals: no eating post Midnite? Um... maybe, I don't remember honestly but close 5 F&V: YUP 6,500 steps: I'm at 7,500 NIGHT ALLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLL

Good morning all!
Leisurely start to the day. Nothing major on the agenda today. Have friends coming for dinner tomorrow so need to do some prep for that. It will be easy...grill, a salad or 2, veggie tray, & a light dessert.
Sandy....hope the kids have fun today playing ball!
Celeste....agreed!.....a pedi is a priority...I like my heels cleaned up & my toes pretty when they show....which may not be until July up in these parts...haha
Steph....the end is in sight! About 6 weeks? Are you doing a grad celebration for Z? We just got an invite yesterday from a great nephew...nice young man ...doesnโt seem possible he is graduating!
Waves to all ~~ need to get moving. BBL

Angie I agree on Blue Bloods and of all shows to show in its place it had to be a stupid show.I do have enough episodes DVR'd from marathons to last me quite awhile. Is there a local place who sells Brooks athletic shoes or do you order online?
Celeste of all the foods I crave pickles is definitely not one of them.I do include baby cucumbers in my salads everyday for lunch though but I don't crave them either.Only thing I crave is carbs and more of them.Well I like me some good dark chocolate if I'm on a sugar kick which I haven't been lately.
Since we don't know when or if we will get rain today I have already gone for my walk.I did find Amigo and he followed me home.Kenneth let him in the yard and Scooter tried to get him to play but he didn't seem interested in playing.I haven't heard Scooter barking lately so he may have jumped back over the fence by now.

ANGIE wow, your GREAT nephew? You must be VERY OLD!!
BECKY I think mostly when I crave a pickle I'm probably craving salt and pickles is less caloric then potato chips I guess. Good to see that Amigo is alive and well!
I woke up several times last night. I started thinking about it... maybe if my bladder held more than a thimble I would sleep better. Also last night BEFORE Midnite I ate. And ate. And ATE! But I obeyed the letter of my law. Nothing after midnite. I made myself the HUGEST fattest PB sandwich. I should probably throw away my PB b/c it's a red light food which I rarely have in my house. I bought it "on sale" and it was NOT on my grocery list. If I do the same thing tonight... I'm tossing it in the trash. Hopefully I will be able to show a bit more restraint.
I have my luscious lips party in a couple of hours. I'm pretty sure I'm not getting my steps in today b/c it's raining and it looks like it will for a while. Next week I'll make my goal for 7K/5days a week. Allow for some leeway.

Hi all โ looks like the โweatherโ has arrived. We are supposed to be in for some bad storms, or so Iโve been told by numerous sources this morning. Right now we have some thunder and rain, but itโs supposed to blow and be severe when the cold front makes it through. ANGIE I had a leisurely start as wellโฆ. sleeping to a LATE 9am (ok so I stayed up until about 2). Enjoy the day. Do yโall know that I will be getting a pedi (soon) for the first time in over a year? I donโt remember when the last one ones, due to all those shots and then surgery. SANDY my carbs havenโt been out of control, but too many. I donโt know, I just feel more bloated when I eat more than normal. CELESTE oh man a big โol PB&J sounds delicious! Youโve done well increasing your steps โ wtg Lady. I took Lu to the vet first thing for a nail trim โ she growled at Carrie at first and it surprised us both! But she warmed up in a minute, Carrie loved on her and the trim went without a problem. Could be Carrie smelled like another dog, or surprised Lu a bit. Who knows. Dropped off a load of donations, filled up my lawnmower gas can and picked up a few things at the grocery store. Filed papers/taxes, house is vacuumed and mopped, dog is washed, pet bowls washed, dog blankets washedโฆ guess Iโm in a washing mood. Or Iโm avoiding painting doors, lol. I have a little sewing to do, and not sure what after that. I have a different recipe for loaded cauliflower that calls for cheddar, cream cheese and sour cream, which I think will be better than the mayo-sour cream recipe. And you roast the cauliflower a little before baking, rather than boiling it, which sounds good too. I bought chive/onion cream cheese โ my favorite - for a little more flavor, and I'm going to make that to have for later. Ok battening down the hatches. Enjoy the day. BBL

Celeste You must be needing salt when you crave pickles b/c they do have lots of sodium.I think that's why I like cucumbers more than pickles now. However when I first joined WW meetings in my 20's I didn't eat any veggies so pickles were my veggies.Hey I figured they were made from cucumbers so what the heck.Yes Amigo is alive and well.He was so glad to see me he jumped on me.His white dog friend he lives with tried to get him to stay home and he wouldn't so he followed us part of the way.He was still here after lunch but is probably outside the gate now.I fell asleep before 10:00 but woke up at 5:00 again. However Fitbit showed I slept until 7:45.It happened to be 7:45 when I was on the computer looking at how long I had slept so I don't think so.I had already cooked and eaten breakfast by then.We haven't had any rain but it's been cool, cloudy and windy.I rode 20 min on the bike and if it warms up a little I may go for a shorter walk.
I keep PB to put on Scooter's Ritz crackers.Yep she's spoiled much.So far I have just licked off the knife b/c I know if I were to have it on bread I wouldn't measure it and that would be that.
Hope your storm isn't too bad Suze.

Suze If we get any rain it should be tonight. We had a mist earlier but it's 70 and humid out there now.It was windy but warm.I got Kenneth to drive his pickup up the road so Amigo would go him and it worked. He needs to stay home b/c there is a white dog who lives there too and he tried to keep him home this morning I guess so he could play with him.If we get bad weather I didn't want Amigo here with no place to go.

Stopped at Walmart after work. Hate doing that! Got just the essentials we were out of. But it meant I got to bed late. Woke up at my normal time, so will probably have trouble staying awake tonight at work. Have had an out of control apatite on and off for the last several days. Thank you, hormones.
I've been over my dailies 3 days in a row, but have met my step goal daily. Have been getting half my water goal, which is better than nothing I guess. So....mixed results on the SMART challenge this week.
Found a new salad dressing at Walmart today. O'dang's Hummus Ranch. Works out to 1 point for 3 tablespoons. If you like Hummus, I think you will like it. I can taste the chickpea in it, but not in an obnoxious way. I give it a big thumb's up.
CELESTE- PB is tough for me, too. Impossible to stop at 2 tablespoons unless I buy the individual serving cups....and even then I tend to want TWO containers. And since I always just eat it plain off of a spoon, it's curtains if I grab the jar!

CONNIE good for you on meeting your step goal...and yes, progress not perfection is the key.
I was done with chores and TTD so decided to go to the gym. 30 min elliptical intervals and 30 min weights โ Now showered and ready to relax. I think I have baby Carolina wrens in the roosting basket on my porch, and apparently they are hungry! Definately some weird noises coming from out that way.
I've also been feeding my weird neighbor's cat. Her recent boyfriend turned out to be a real [dangerous type] wacko and I think she has been staying at her parents. She took her dog over there, but her cat is here. From what I can tell, she stops in every couple days, but the cat lets me know when he's hungry. I feel sorry for the cat because he is obviously lonely. My ex used to tell me "you can't save them all" but I just can't stand for an aninal to be mistreated or not taken care of.
Man I could crawl into bed and read/sleep right now! But I'd probably be wide awake at 3am.

Hi all. Busy day here. Trying to get the regular weekend chores done, grocery store, etc. Had a birthday party for a 3 year old too. It was fun too see the kids. Granddaughter of a friend I used to work with. Her little grandson is 5. Poor boy was born with so many medical problems. Only weighed @ 1.5 lbs when he was born. Has many, many medical issues, but is adorable. He's finally talking and walking better. Has braces on his legs. Has shunts and a plate in his head, @ half his colon had to be removed. The family found out on Thursday that the school nurse gave his name to some group similar to Make a Wish think it's called Dream Wishes. Anyway, the family was chosen to go on a completely all expense paid trip to Disney in FL. They have a year to use it. They are thrilled to say the least. Couldn't be happier for them.
Slept pretty well last night and plan on doing the same tonight. 2 Tylenol PMs. Cast is getting loose. Everything is less swollen. Not hurting too much today either. All good things.
Okay, happy Sunday!!
JT
