SUZE on the loaded cauli? ALL OF THE FREAKIN' ABOVE!!! However IMHO the biggest improvement in the 2nd recipe is the roasted v steamed. AWWWWW on that poor kitty! Thank you for taking care of it. Hopefully things will settle down w/ the whacko BF and she'll come back. HOWEVER (ON MY SOAP BOX) if you'd leave a car or dog at home w/o you or at least asking someone to keep an eye on it... you do NOT deserve it.
hahahaha BECKY on pickles being a veg. While I realize they're from cucumbers, I've never counted them towards my F&V. Nor do I count: french fries, hashed browns etc etc. LOL But Bob took me to Heritage Table tonight for dinner and I had to ask for the salt shaker. For whatever reason I AM craving salt.
CONNIE now that you mention hormones, I've been CRAVING various foods off the hook and I do need new pellets. I'll call next week and make an appointment. The time between them gets away from me. and O'DANG'S? Is this a WV brand? I love hummus so it might be up my alley. And girllllll YES on PB w/ a spoon. Does it get any better than that?
OMG JT that poor baby. I know I'd probably do whatever it took to make sure my babies lived HOWEVER sometimes I think we go overboard. Sometimes I think a baby is supposed to pass and make it's way to God sooner rather than later. But where do you draw the line? I DUNNO!! I have a very good friend in Make a Wish. A while ago she was in charge of the little boy that got to be Bat Kid? (she was the one he rescued from being tied up to the RR tracks). It's an AMAZING organization. I most support animal charities but this is one PEOPLE charity I am amazed by! So glad your swelling is going down. That's a def. step in the right direction.
So we went out to dinner at this place that has the BEST chicken pot pie and meatloaf. It's a total scratch chicken all locally sourced. I REALLY wanted a pot pie. But my mouth ordered roast chicken on a bed or roast asparagus. AND NO DESSERT (Bob had espresso gelato). Now I DID have 2 local Texas beers which were by FAR the best beer EVER (Commissar Russian Imperial Stout). NOW... that PB is calling to me but I'll hold on (for a while).

Connie I have had an appetite problem this week too.If you have the weeklies to cover the days you go over your dailies I wouldn't stress about it for sure. Some people talk about having negative dailies and still lose weight on freestyle.I stay under my dailies and I still don't lose much if any on it.I haven't lost any on SP since I've double tracked this last week either.I just like to snack too much.
Suze You are just like me.I can't stand to see animals go hungry or get mistreated or especially not taken care of.My mom used to tell me I liked dogs more than I liked people. So far we have dodged the storm. It may come in later but the cool front hasn't arrived either.
JT I'm glad all the swelling is going down and the Tylenol PM worked last night.I hope it works again tonight. That is so sad about the little boy but I'm glad he and his family will get to go to Disney.
This morning I had a bad headache and I didn't want to wait to take a Celebrex after dinner and my back and knee were both hurting in addition so I took 2 Tylenol for arthritis and the headache finally went away.I can't tell any difference in taking that and the Celebrex. Kenneth has a cousin who had a hip replacement not too long ago and she said when she took Celebrex before the replacement it didn't help her either. So I'm hoping the injections approval will come through by the end of the week.
Goals: stayed within points-yes exercise-yes 10,000 steps-yes 80 oz water-yes
Exercise goals for next week will still be at least 30 minutes/day but 10,000 steps 5/7 days(never know what the weather will be like)
Night Ladies!!!

Celeste I did know even back then pickles weren't veggies but I didn't even eat salad back then.I don't count any kind of tater a veggie now not even 1/2 baked tater. If it's 0 points and it's a fruit or a veggie I will count it now.You did so well on ordering chicken over asparagus.I don't believe I have ever eaten asparagus.I will have to try it sometime.

Last week at WI I gained 0.2 up to 190 and I was okay with that. Today I dropped 1 down to 189. That is just about where I want to stay (1 below my goal). I have 4 weeks to go to hit Lifetime. My leader talked to me before our meeting started - when I hit my goal, I reset my app to maintenance so that gave me 28 SP per day and my WP were still at 35. This week, she tells me to ADD 3 more SP to my daily total so I will eat more and hopefully stop losing. Hmmmmmm.....never really thought about being told to eat MORE!!!
Just had a fairly heavy shower, I made sure both cats were in the house and let Morris in the garage. I got this, "what the hell took you so long" look. He was wet and was not too happy when I tried to dry him off but decided to let me as long as there was more food put out.

Good morning,
Still playing catch up around here. Had a community garage sale yesterday, but from what we were told, not too many homes participated. This is only the 2nd time we've ever done it. Probably the rain. I told DH since we had all the crap in the garage, to leave it and we'll do it again next week. I totally forgot I have a meeting around lunch, but we'll do what we can.
Hair cut in the afternoon. Prom last night, still waiting on the boy to get home. He went over to a buddy's house. Did get a text around 11:45 that he was there. I was asleep, so it was nice to wake up knowing he's ok. Need to go shower and off to church. Grocery store after & then home to laundry & lesson planning. FIVE WEEKS left!!!!!
BBL. Have a great Sunday!

Mary Congrats on losing below your goal. Are you eating the full 28 points or did your leader mean for you to eat 31 points?Mine is set on maintenance but with the 0 point foods I never get to 28 points.I don't eat a lot of 0 point foods but I'm always leery of using them all & then gaining.I wasn't going to meetings when I hit goal and I never added the maintenance points so I kept losing to the point of looking sick but what I hear about meetings is during maintenance they don't want you below 2 lbs below your goal but after maintenance I don't think they say a whole lot if you get more than 2 lbs below your goal.I always have a problem with eating 0 point foods & still getting 23-28 daily points.
Steph I'm glad Z sent you a text last night. We didn't get much rain.In fact the sun came out shortly before it turned dark last night. They said the Hill Country had sun all afternoon. It's beautiful but windy out there now.
We will be going to church. The former pastor & his wife will be there to visit. He was there when we were members at the church before. Not much planned for afternoon if the wind doesn't die down or it gets warmer.I did ride 30 min on my recumbent bike instead of the normal 20 in case I don't get to walk.
Have a good day everyone.

Well count me in for appetite issues this week. Even as I type I'm HUNGRY. Tummy growling hungry. I try telling myself *HUNGER IS NOT FATAL* UM it's not working.
BECKY since you have a toaster oven or something similar, roasted asparagus w/ a spritz of EVOO and some S&P is very good. Hot or cold.
hahaha MARY that is my goal in life. Not a number on a scale. But being told EAT MORE!! LOL
YEAH STEPH I would think rain would REALLy cut into a garage sale success. I wouldn't want to go garage sale shopping in the rain.
I was going to go washing machine shopping (mine still works perfectly but it's OLD so i wanted a new one BEFORE it crapped out). Since there's no urgency to get a new one I decided to put it off yet another week. I know at Nebraska Furniture Mart they want to set up delivery w/in 24 to 48 hours and I have too much on my plate next week. So I'll wait till later in the month I guess.
I slept like crap. First of all my diverticulitis/osis was hurting. (It's better now that I've had my coffee and paid my AM visit to the bathroom). Then I am SO ANGRY over this damnn SS and tomorrow is ANOTHER visit. ALSO on Friday I got a letter from that ghetto thug grill wearing SS Mr. Watkins saying if he doesn't have the birth certificate my May 17 (SIX FREAKING MONTHS after I first applied) the claim will be rejected. I'm SOOOOO dang angry I cannot sleep at night until I get this taken care of.
THEN I also got my appraisals for property taxes. I'm OK (not happy but OK) with the appraisal on the house I live in. It went up 6.5% over last year. But my little rental? It's appraised value went up 26%!!! WHAAAAATTTT??? If I could sell that place for what they appraised it at??? I'd sell it TOMORROW!! B.S. So I have to figure out how to appeal that. Also since I can't get a 65+ exemption or a homestead since I don't live there, right now the little house is quite a bit MORE on taxes than my home. I knew that and took it into consideration. But a 26% raise in taxes in one year??? Not so much.
This too shall pass. This too shall pass. DEEEEP breath. hahaha MAYBE I'll get my SS check in time to pay my taxes!! DOH!

Celeste I haven't used my toaster/convection in awhile but that would be an option.I can understand how you are having trouble sleeping over that dang SS.He is dragging his heels evidently.I know when we applied for SS Disability we each had to see one of their doctors whose sole job was to find a reason to deny our claims but we both had good doctors with excellent documentation.I don't understand why it's so hard for them to start your checks. It's ridiculous. It seems like everyone's taxes are going up.I don't know that we have received ours in the mail yet but on nextdoor.com everyone is hopping mad about the increase. We do have a homestead and an Ag exemption which helps so I don't know how much ours will go up.We have 2 houses besides the property & one house isn't used for anything but storage.
Angie Can I send you some wind???

CELESTE- when did your ex say that they told him the copy would arrive? I seem to remember it sounded like a long time. I mean, I send stuff in the mail and it only takes a week to go cross country. But I thought they told him 6 or 8 weeks. Or am I just imagining that? Beyond frustrating for sure.
Was all set to intentionally blow my diet this morning. Had a HUGE craving for a bacon egg and cheese biscuit from Tudor's Biscuit World, a local chain that makes biscuits the size of your head. (Well, almost.) Thought I'd get one for me and one for Joe and perhaps a plain one to just eat with butter. I don't even remotely like anyone else's biscuits, but these are awesome. So I stop at the drive thru and before I order they ask me to pull around. I get to the window and the gal says their cash registers are down! Poor thing was probably still in high school and her manager wasn't there. She was a wreck. I told her not to worry about it, she likely just saved my diet. But to be truthful....I see me trying again tomorrow morning. Sometimes you just NEED a biscuit.

Hi all/ Sunny, @ 55 and windy here so it felt like 45. Worked in the yard picking up sticks and trimming back the perennials. DH was right by my side, no falls. Will try to do some more tomorrow after work.
Angie, glad you had nice weather. Send it my way please. Celeste, how can they reject your SS while still in the process? This makes no sense. Don't talk tax increases to anyone in CT!! Our taxes are so high none of us can afford to live here anymore.
Okay ladies, happy Monday. JT

JT....sending the nice weather your way! And looks like more to come! Maybe old man winter has given up on us ....finally!
Becky...no thanks on the wind ...lol. 30 min on the bike....good for you! I did 15 yesterday & that was enough for my backside...& it was the recumbent.
Celeste....what in the world!?!? How can they just deny your SS claim .... isnβt the birth certificate finally on the way? What a fiasco!!
Connie...that was kind of bad news / good news not getting your biscuit....but disappointing when you were looking forward to it.
Steph....the countdown is on! Seems like this school year has zipped by ... faster than when I worked for sure!
Our dinner guests stayed much longer than we anticipated...which was ok except I had a wicked migraine before they came. I had taken 2 doses of med & a catnap before they got here....which helped, but while I rarely get them anymore, I just feel wiped out afterwards when they hit. An early bedtime will be in order.

BECKY I also just realized my school taxes haven't been included b/c they're taxed by a different county. OUCH on my total between the 2 counties and the 2 houses. *FAINT* Oh well that does eat into the profit from the rental but then again I bought it for the rapid appreciation. BUT NOT as rapid as the taxing authority is suggesting (about 25% a year??? uh... NOOOO way have homes gone up THAT much in a year. Fo' SHO!!
ANGIE cole slaw sounds good. I bought a bag of shredded cabbage. Do you have a good low point cole slaw recipe?
OHHHHH CONNIE I have good news there. Charlie got the birth cert and sent it to me about 4 weeks ago. As soon as I got it, I called to make the SS appointment. There SHOULD be no reason to deny my claim now but I just feel as if Mr. Asshat Watkins is going to come up w/ something else. We do NOT have a cordial relationship. I truly HATE that man. I plan on saying as LITTLE as humanly possible. And once in a while I JUST CRAVE something like that. Most notably pizza or a very greasy hamburger. I can try to skip it. Try to substitute something else but when I get those cravings, nothing will suffice. So I get it on that biscuit thing.
Oh jeeeesh JT between your cast and DH's back you must have been quite the couple doing yardwork. I can't even imagine. The guy I keep dealing w/ at SS refuses to accept my proof that my ex was born on his birthday. First of all he CAN look that up online. He DOES have access to the Social Security records which INCLUDES SS#, name and DOB. I've supplied him w/ proof of marriage and divorce (certified) AND his SS number is on both documents AND so is his b/day so he can verify everything using that. And via the SS database. The jerk is not even CHALLENGING my ex's SS# AND HAS looked up and verified his SS contributions. He's just being a ghetto thug. I've called his supervisor, asking her to call and she never called back. I have asked to speak w/ his supervisor every time I go in there and miraculously she's NEVER there. Vacation, lunch, sick. Bullllllll!! But what do I do? Stand up and cry? Scream? Get arrested? I'm pretty much at his mercy. I mean I guess the next step would be to write my congressman but how long do you think THAT would take? Extremely frustrating.
And yes I've heard CT property taxes are very high. As well as home prices. AND you have state income tax which we don't. I'm just ticked, b/c though homes have gone up this year, NOT to the tune of about 25%!! I WISH b/c I'd sell that puppy and go on another vacation w/ the profits.
This too shall pass.
I FORCED my butt up and walked the neighborhood in order to get in my 6,500. I'd given up meeting the goal and then felt guilty b/c I didn't have a good reason.
Starting tomorrow I'm upping my goal another 500 to 7,000 steps/day for 5 days of the week. And MONDAY I probably won't make it. I have a long drive to the SS office, a LONG SIT at the SS office (No place to walk around and still see the ticker w/ the number in the queue.... they cram us in there like sardines). From there I'm going to my Happy Hour Club get together at a local smoke house/craft brewery. So I won't be getting in many steps.
Tuesday I have to drive to DFW (I dislike that airport) in order to do the interview for Global Entry/TSA precheck. If I get there early (which I probably will since I don't know exactly where in DFW it is), I'll be able to get in lots of walking while at the airport. I've never seen an airport so spread out.
I must be a glutton for punishment. 2 Government offices/interviews/procedures in 2 days? EGADS.
Tummy isn't happy with me today. It might be something I ate (but I don't think so). THough when we went to dinner I had a salad and after I ate it I went OMG THAT WAS ROMAINE!!!! Even w/ no e coli, romaine and I are not buddies. So it may be that. And STRESS. Stress gives some folks headaches or neck aches... I get my IBS flaring up. I am a PIECE OF WORK I TELL YA.
Shower in a few minutes, then maybe a klonipin to help me sleep. My appointment is at 2. I'll leave a bit after 1PM. I want to get there on time but not too early b/c it's a tiny room, easily 100+ people crammed in there... it's a respiratory illness waiting to happen.
Night all. WISH ME LUCK!! (where is Louise BTW? Did I miss her? I'll go back and read).

ANGIE I guess it means if things don't go well I'll have to RE-APPLY and what difference does that make? Except it takes USUALLY about 6-8 weeks from applying to the first check. Well at this point it's going on 6 or 7 months so what's the difference? This letter came from that Mr. Watkins that I've been dealing with. Hateful P.O.S. SUZE I'll be interested in YOUR appraisal. I don't know how many permits you have had to pull on all your improvements but I heard each permit can trigger a re-appraisal. ALSO I called your taxing county to complement you on what a GREAT job you've done on your multiple improvements on your home and how it is now a SHOWPLACE!! I may have thrown in something about how you doubled... no tripled the footprint... just so that they appreciate what you've done. APPRECIATE... get it?
