I almost forgot today was Food Find Friday!!
Another Costco find. Gabila's Sweet Potato Pancakes. At Costco these come 12 in a pack and the expiration time is quick, so unless you really really love sweet potatoes or want to feed a lot of people, you will need to freeze these. Which is what I did.
1 piece is about 2 oz. Cal = 140 Sat Fat = .5 Sugar = <1 Protein 2 g If you need more info let me know. Ingredients include wheat and eggs.
These are 4 SP each and worth it. They have a really nice taste and a nice texture cooked in the oven. I've had them for breakfast and with dinner. They have a website, www.gabilas.com but there's no nutrition info on it for this product. It does say they are Kosher. Not affiliated, just a happy eater.
Just for the record, if you haven't figured it out, I'm a lazy cook and I do like food with a zippy taste. Nothing bland. That said, these aren't spicy. They do have a taste. Not just fried potato taste.

Gabila's Sweet Potato Pancakes I buy the Gabila's zucchini pancakes at Costco's and they're really good too. I agree - they're worth the 4 points.

This isn't a new find. I just wanted to mention it in case anyone else didn't know this and loves pretzels. 16 mini Snyder's of Hanover pretzels are only 2 FSP (free-style points) These are my go-to snack especially if I am hungry. That's a lot of pretzels and they are filling.

It's not Friday but this will start your week off in a good way. Costco Pulled Pork was delicious last night! I drained the excess grease and served it on the little Hawaiian rolls with sliced onions and a little BBQ sauce. Check it out!

Not Friday and a "pass on this one" review: HEB Blendables Green Fuel Smoothie . I knew it wouldn't be much fruit at only 60 calories per serving, but this was not at all what I expected. The bag states the ingredients are "Green Apples, Spinach, Bananas, Pineapple, Kale". It was about 98% frozen apple slices, I found 1 piece of banana about the size of a quarter, no pineapple and almost a "hey did we forget there was supposed to be spinach and kale in here?" afterthought sprinkle of both (I think it was just spinach, no kale). I bought it because it was on sale. I blended 1/2 the bag (1 serving) with 1/3 cup Fage total zero plain non fat Greek yogurt, 2/3 cup unsweetened almond milk and 1 scoop of vanilla protein powder. I could not taste the apple at all, which I found weirdly unsettling. I mean, I SAW the apple slices, but there was no apple taste. To double check, I pulled a slice out of the bag and bit into it: no apple taste. Save your $$ and buy a bag of frozen kale, frozen spinach and frozen berries or peaches instead. You'd get 10-15 servings for the price of 2 small ones that are in this bag, and you could actually add the greens that they sprinkle on top of this.

I just went to a local Middle Eastern market to pick up stuff for dinner and I found these Mediterranean rusks. They're 60 calories for two, not very sweet, and vegan. And tasty, sort of like biscotti. Not sure how easy they'd be to find other places. www.supermarchepa.com/products/andalos-kaak-mediterranean-rusks-400-450gI'm always looking for a little something sweet after dinner and these are only a point each.

100gone , I have no idea where to find something like those rusks, but they look like bread and that's good for me! Do you know the nutrition information? I can't seem to find that information. Thanks.

Smuckers Sugar Free Concord Grape Jam and Orange Marmalade.
I tried both of these items this morning on toast. I wasn't specifically looking for SF, but there it was so I decided to give these a taste. These are both 0 SP for 1 1/2 TBLS.
I'm not in love with the Grape Jam. It's ok and I will eat it on toast, but I won't buy it again. The Orange Marmalade isn't bad at all and I would definitely buy it again. Sometimes I just want a piece of toast with a little something something on it and the Orange Marmalade will work for me.
I was hoping the grape would be good because I really want a peanut butter and jelly sandwich. Does anybody else really want a peanut butter and jelly sandwich on toast and a giant glass of chocolate milk? That's going to be my downfall. If I do that once, I will want to do it again and again.
Anyway, I don't really want to get accustomed to SF items, but I am in active weight-loss mode and if it helps to get those pounds off I am willing to give some (not all) a try to help me reach my goal.
