I never did become more coherent yesterday. Was foggy all thru work last night. I'm guessing allergies are partly to blame. I slept hard again today. Was dreaming about going to an ice cream joint that had HUGE portions and any type of ice cream/toppings you could imagine. Sad! I could have been dreaming about some hot stud....and I was dreaming about ice cream.
Tonight is the last night for work. I'm so glad!
Our structural engineer friend was at the rental yesterday. The crack monitors show no movement and he is prepared to go ahead and write the report saying the foundation is perfectly sound. Hallelujah! It should take a couple of weeks to get the report, but then we can put it on the market without concern. Yay! Of course, today it rained really hard so the basement flooded. Turns out we need a French drain behind the house because there is water coming off the hillside. It's always something! At least that should be a relatively easy fix. And we know where the water is coming from....so it could have been worse.
Supper is fried eggs over roasted potatoes. Yum.

Connie I'm glad you can put the rental up for sale.Your dinner sounds good too.I know you are glad this is your last night to work.
Kenneth grilled the most tender boneless pork chops on the Foreman last night.I do believe while just eating 1/2 it's the best I've ever eaten.I wasn't hungry for dinner so that and 1/2 baked tater did me with the blackberries and yogurt.
Celeste I do believe your gallbladder would be talking to you.I don't have a gallbladder anymore so I guess I could eat any you have left over.
There was the cutest little girl at church this morning. Her grandparents brought her.It reminded me of Sandy taking Katy.Anyway she had the cutest Minnie Mouse dress on and the cutest pair of flip flops.
Steph I hope school isn't too bad this week.I hope you got a little time for you anyway today.

Hi all! Happy Sunday to you. Been a gloomy cool day today. Had a few showers and nothing more.
Angie, glad the DFIL is better. I'm sure you can't wait to be home again.
Celeste, when you said you were cooking a pound of bacon I thought, oh my I'd be sicker than a dog. I don't eat a pound of bacon in a year! Glad you weren't eating it all at once.
We are supposed to have actual Spring weather this week - 75-78 and sunny. How nice it will be if it happens.
Okay, everyone have a great Monday. Hey, where have Mary and Louise gone? I don't think I've seen either of them post lately. Waving to all.

HAHAHA CONNIE you know you're getting old, when stud dreams make way for ice cream dreams. You DO know there are 3 stages of life. The 1st stage you'd do ANYTHING in search for the perfect sexual experience. Stage 2 you'd do ANYTHING in the quest for a great meal. Stage 3 you'd DIE for a normal bowel movement!! So it appears you've moved on to Stage 2. Um... anyone want to guess which stage I'm in based on my GI health lately? OK FINE!!! YOU GUESSED Congrats on the foundation. What a relief. And I had an estimate for a French Drain between my house and the one to the north. There's a valley between our houses and I could make it a koi pond after a rain or a yard watering. My quote was about $6K. Way cheaper to BUY KOI!! LOL I do need to get a 2nd opinion but the neighbors are balking at sharing in the cost and the guy said flat out, it's MORE for their benefit than mind. For me it's an inconvenience. For the it could mean foundation issues. I'm NOT taking this on by myself. I paid for the fence between our houses all by myself. NOT going to do this. BECKY my pork chops were good but I just wasn't in the mood for them so they didn't really hit the spot. I've been DYING for a good rib eye. So I'll put that on my grocery list. I don't cook steaks all that often but I do love me some red meat! JT you'd have been proud of me. I only had 3 slices of bacon. And what is this SPRING of which you speak? Here it's 55 or 85 during the day it seems. Mary does tend to come and go a lot like this so we're always just happy to see her. Louise has some stuff going on in life so she's kind of sort of taking a break. But isn't it funny how we miss each other and are concerned? SO thankfully today I can have seconds, snacks and sweets. My neighbors went to West Texas and came home w/ FRESH KOLACHES (for the uninitiated, they're either sweet or savory ... fruit, cream cheese or sausage and cheese wrapped w/ pastry). Kind of like either pigs in a blanket or a danish on steroids. THEY ARE SO GOOD. And West Texas is the epicenter of kolaches. So they dropped off 2 cheese/lemon kolaches for each of us. And they are merely a memory. And worth every CALORIE. So I had SECONDS on my SNACK which was a SWEET... the trifecta of NO S!! hahaha I need to go for a walk now.. or should I say a WADDLE. Ciao kids.

Celeste I'm in life stage 3 with ya right now.Cream cheese & lemon kolaches??? I could handle the cream cheese but not the lemon. When I lived in Taylor we had a place called the Kolache shop. Here we have the donut shop and they have kolaches but I never let Kenneth stop in there when I'm in the car anymore. When my mom was alive since she didn't drive she would ask me to go get some HEB sourdough donuts for breakfast on Saturday mornings.Hey it was either that or chocolate cake she had made. Now if you ever get a real hankering for donuts ask Steph to pick you up some Round Rock donuts.I would totally go into the red on WW for a RR chocolate iced donut.
I do think I may try to give up a few things like Muscle Milk. The last time I had one at least 2 nights ago it didn't set well with me.It has no dairy and says it doesn't have any sugar but I drink the chocolate so who knows. Also the chocolate PB 2 has bothered my tummy the last couple of times and if I can find something I really like that has more fiber I may try giving up my protein bars. They don't bother my tummy but I do get really full after eating one and since I only have 1 left now may just be the time not to re-stock.
It's supposed to get up to 91 tomorrow. It's too soon!!!

CELESTE OMG on the kolaches...drooling over here!!! You lucky dog. Ok so maybe i didnt understand the S days... I have only been treating S days as ok for SWEETS day (although today I had seconds). I kinda like sticking to no snacks and no seconds... its becoming a habit.
CONNIE yay on the foundation! I know that was welcome news.
Waving to everyone...its been a low key Sunday. I did finish cleaning house. Need to fix my dryer vent and I HATE working on dryer vents. I have an appt in the morning so going in a little late to work. I also have a massage scheduled for 5pm but I'm not sure I'll keep it. It feels a little frivolous, bit I know it will feel good.
I hope you all have had a good day.

BECKY I had looked at Muscle Milk previously and I do like how it had a lot of fiber in it. But mostly I had NO idea what the ingredients were so it was too full of questionable artificial ingredients for me. THey might be really healthy etc but what's that advice? If I can't pronounce it I probably don't want to eat it. UGH UGH on 91. We got there w/ our heat index but not actual temps. uh.... NOOOOOO SUZE. Why would you think it only means you can have SWEETS on S days (but not the other S's?) It says (from the website): "No Snacks. No Sweets. No Seconds. Except on days that start with an S." It's listed exactly like that... in that order? So why just pick out the SWEETS from the middle of the No S's? Seriously confused and I had to reread the site and part of the book. I mean do what works for you of course, but that's not what the website or the book says. again...."- OF COURSE you shouldn't eat snacks, sweets and seconds ALL THE TIME on S-day-" from the website. No where does it mention sweets as the S day Exception. As I said, I didn't have 2nds nor sweets nor a snack until tonight when I had the 2 Kolaches as a snack,... but since I had 2 of them (seconds) and it was sweet, it was a 3 for one!! LOL I THINK I know how you figured it was only sweets. I think it's b/c your main issue is sweets and that is what your eyes/brain saw in the book?? Mine is normally snacks. So no way would my brain zero in on sweets. Normally a non issue for me. I'm glad I had the kolaches b/c that will satisfy my sweet tooth for a long time coming. But I never once really wanted anything sugary this entire week. And wouldn't have if they hadn't arrived like a gift from heaven right on my doorstep. SO GO AHEAD SUZE...YOU CAN HAVE SECONDS. Or a side salad or garlic bread w/ dinner. Weird thing. Bob took my t-bird to get air in the tires and this lady (about my age) stopped him and asked if he wanted to sell it. (He said she had a really nice Lexus). So she took my phone number and 30 min later her son called me and if we can agree on a price he wants to buy it for her. Weird. But the guy was kind of pushy. "Tell me a price and if I agree I'll buy it right now. I'll come with cash". He's from the middle east so I know their business practices are probably more aggressive than I'm used to. I have to research it. He's supposed to call back on Wednesday. But I have a feeling that he thought maybe he could pull one over on some old lady. I may be paranoid but it was odd. I REALLLLLLLLLLLY do want to sell it. 100%. But I have a kind of uncomfortable feeling about him. OHHHHHH first of all I get on the phone and he says "Hello darling!" He's 30 years old. How does he come off calling some strange woman on the phone "darling?" Anyway another thing to think about. For now... good night kids.

CELESTE- Luckily, DH can install the French drain himself. So only cost will be the gravel, plastic liner, and pipe.
My friend, Diane, brought Pepperoni Rolls to work. Think pigs in a blanket with pepperoni and more bread! It's a northern WV thing. And yes, I'm eating them because I NEVER get them down here. Only wish I had marinara for dipping.....

CONNIE you're lucky that Joe will do it. I even thought of maybe volunteering Bob to do it with the husband next door. That guy has quite the tools etc, though I think what would be needed is a trench digger. Digging in this hard Tx clay and limestone would be a bi-otch. But together they could save a boatload. Your rolls sound great. Esp w/ some marinara! Like I'm not a huge fan of the breadstix at Olive Garden (I know I'm a minority of 1) but give me some marinara to dip it in and I could go CRAZY.
SANDY the nature of RA is that it does wax and wane. So maybe he's having one of those good days and maybe the meds are helping his pain. Or maybe he's being a MAN and trying to MAN UP thru the pain. MEN I TELL YA! LOL Good for you for the 12K steps! Been ages since I even got 10K.
But the gradual increase has helped me. 4K a month or so ago up to 7500/5days/week. Tomorrow I *gasp* increase my goal to 8K steps 5days/week. I can do it. But I was walking around the neighborhood at 9:30PM trying to get my steps in today. UGH
So 7500 Steps: CHECK I did my kolaches which ticked all the NO SO BOXES but it was just 1 sweet snack so not too bad today. Knowing I COULD eat whatever I wanted made me not as frantic to do it.
I don't feel too concerned about back to the NO S tomorrow. It's not been difficult at all. And funny how I COULD have had seconds at meal time (made extra Fiber Gourmet Mac N Cheese), but didn't feel the need. Normally I would have. Now to cut down on my servings sizes. One step at a time.
I'm now ready for bed so good night girlies. ~~~~WAVING AT LOUISE AND MARY WHEREVER THEY MAY BE~~~~~
