Anyone is welcome to join the SMART weight loss goals.
Specific Measurable Actionable Realistic Time limited
You can pick as many or as few goals as you like. They can be daily, weekly or monthly. It's up to each individual. Keep us posted on how you're doing w/ the goals and how/if it's showing up on the scale!
AND if you aren't into goals... now or ever... no big deal. Friendship, accountability and support... they don't HAVE to have goals.
Lastly if you have goals that aren't related to weight loss, that works too. Like "making me time"

Good Morning ~ Where is everybody? I tell you, this headache thing is so strange. I woke up and felt fine, after being up and moving around it starts. Oh well, if a headache is my only ache I guess I’m doing ok.
Now I’m not really sure what is digging. My first guess is an armadillo, but from the way the dirt lies, it looks like it was digging out, not in. I’ll have to do some investigation. At least I’m pretty confident it’s not a skunk.
SANDY it was windy here yesterday but was calm when I went out walking around 8pm. I know it’s nice for you to get some “alone” time with your DS.
CELESTE I am nodding in complete agreement on some of these directions. I don’t know what I got recently (maybe that barstool) that had NO directions, just pictures. And yes – some of the pictures are really tough to figure out. If it’s going to be pictures, they need to be good. I remember when I sewed a lot, I never read the directions just looked at the pictures. Your steak dinner sounds perfect.
On the note of reading…I was copied on an email from one of the Dept heads to the Dean, and our Dean came in to talk to me about it. I was reading it with her over my shoulder and said out loud “OMG I can’t understand this…there are too many words!” I felt like an idiot but she knew what I meant… there were so many extraneous words that it made the email a convoluted mess. Just because you know the words doesn’t mean you need to use them all at one time! LOL
ANGIE I’m going to Stillwater to meet my niece and her BF. It’s just a fun trip, no set itinerary or anything. I think my niece is just excited to see someone from the family, she misses home.
Waving to everyone ~ ~ enjoy the day! BBL

SUZE- I am putting together the cubes I got for storing more fabric. Just pictures. I've bought these before, so I pretty much can do it without the dirctions now, but the first time I put one together it took an hour. Now I can do one in about 15 minutes. Found myself thinking someone should do a YouTube video on how to assemble them.
Just got back from the initial consultation with the financial guy. I have a ton of financial data to pull and some forms to fill out. Then I can turn it all in and get his recommendations. I did this 3 years ago and never turned the stuff in. Mostly because as soon as I got it all ready, it changed. (Insurance changed, pension got frozen, 401k structure changed, yadda yadda yadda)

CONNIE, other than groceries, I order pretty much everything online so I'm constantly breaking down boxes and some of those suckers are put together to survive Armageddon. And even broken down, they fill my recycle bin in no time flat. And HAH! As I was building this little table thing (trying to build... I eventually threw myself on the mercy of BOB), I thought "I could sure use a Youtube tutorial" LOL. But Bob also has better tools other than that little Allen Key/wrench. I don't touch his "tools."
And though I like my financial guy, I've always dreaded meeting with ANY of them EVER. I don't want to have to do homework. I'm too old for that crap.
SUZE maybe the author of the email thought they were writing a novel. DUDE there's a big difference between an informational text vs reading for pleasure. There is a line between too MUCH information and not enough and it should be obvious.
Things I like about No S. At mealtime I truly eat what I want not what I feel I should eat. Like making the roasted red potatoes? I didn't measure out a couple of tsp of oil. I poured some oil until they were coated. I truly eat what I want at mealtime, as much as I want.
Things I don't like? Um... I haven't lost (or gained) an ounce. So obviously I need to move more and eat less but not gaining is a half-a-win.

Last kid has competed. Waiting on my partner/friend to finish her assignment duty. We're taking the girls out to Olive Garden for dinner. The gardens are here are beautiful, but I think the Nashville Gaylord was better. Grant it, it was decorated for Christmas, but it was georgous.

Finally a moment to check in....
I was out the door at 0830 for nature center volunteer duty. Easy day....supervised kindergarteners in the outdoor play area. Ran a few errands afterwards.
Cool dreary day here. I don’t think we even got to 60. Some rain last night & sure looks & feels like more is on the way.
Steph....how did the girls do, or too soon for results?
Suze....thanks for starting us up! Have fun in OK, ok?
Connie....awesome that your customer’s quilt did so well. Most likely due to your superb quilting!
JT....that sounds like a snazzy new cast!
Sandy...i’ve gone back to LCHF, too....still try to follow NoS as well. I love Cinderella....one on my faves!
No Becky yet??
Waves to Celeste ~~~~~
Need to get dinner ready & pack. We are in no big hurry in the morning but I want to have most of it ready to go tonight.

Good evening all. My cast is snazzy and jazzy this time. It's almost like a feminine camo. Very colorful and festive is what I'm being told. I really hope this is the last one.
Sounds like some of you had hot weather today. We had a pleasant day, not warm, but sunny. Tomorrow, Angie is sending her cool, rainy, damp day to us. We are supposed to have a cool rainy weekend.
Connie,I meant to congratulate you on the quilt being juried. That's awesome.
Suze and Angie, safe travels to you. Enjoy your mini vacations and family time.
Waving to all. Happy Saturday to all.

ANGIE are you near Des Moines? It looks as if you're in for some turbulent weather if that's the case.
STEPH I hear Gaylord Texan is gorgeous at Christmas too. And they get the ice sculptors from Harbin China in and it's a wonderland. I've only been out there once and I don't even remember why.
Sounds like our weather, Sandy. It was so windy today I just stopped bothering to brush my hair b/c it was just a wreck every time I walked outside.
AND OMG I was driving at the top of my street on my way home and as I was coming to the stop sign I saw this big "cloud" of debris type stuff. Just swirling then heading east.As I slowed down I realized this "debris" was BEES. Hundreds and thousands of bees. I was in the midst of them and was a bit freaking trying to figure out if they could get in the car thru A/C vents since I'l allergic to bees. I kind of ran the stop sign. I can see it now "Honest officer. It was bees."
Off for Mexican food. I ordered chile rellenos and I could barely finish half. And I didn't feel the NEED to b/c I realized I could have the other half for meal 3 if I wanted. So I'm satisfied, even full, not stuffed and I thoroughly enjoyed it. But NO CHIPS b/c that would have violated the "no seconds" part b/c it wasn't on my dinner plate.

Suze I hope your headache is better.Good grief on the email.Have fun in OK.
Celeste Even if you haven't lost at least you haven't gained either.I can gain so fast and lose like a turtle.
Steph I hope your kids did well.
Angie I'll take your 60's if you take my 90's.Good luck on your LCHF & enjoy your trip and have fun being g'ma.
JT I hope that is your last cast also.
Kenneth is usually the one to feed Scooter.I give her the evening treats but he fills up her food bowl.I told him before bedtime she didn't have any food left and I guess he forgot.About 3:30 this morning she picked up the food bowl & dropped it on the hardwood floor in front of Kenneth's recliner waking us both up.I told him "I think your dog is hungry."It was funny afterwards but thank goodness we both were able to go back to sleep. She is just too smart for her own good sometimes.

Gosh, I'm spent. All of my yard sale items are piled in the foyer and priced. I've got 24 flights of stairs so far today and over 10,000 steps. Went to the store at 6:30 because I realized I had forgotten to get change for the Yardsale. Our bank has a branch inside Walmart that was open till 7pm. So glad I thought about that. Could have been a disaster. Also got all 8 cubes assembled and carried to the third floor. Need to get a shower and go to bed. The sale starts at 8, but we will start getting people at 7. Will probably have to be up by 5. Joe's sisters have brought a ton of crap over already and will be here bright and early to set up in the yard. DH and I will be on the porch. It will be a zoo.

BEES??!!! OMG I think I'd have to freak out on that one. Oh my.
Worked in the yard for about an hour after work and planted a rose and bouganvilla that I picked up yesterday. Trucked over and picked up 8 more blocks... ready to work on my project next week. Home, dinner and relaxing a bit.
CONNIE good luck with the sale tomorrow.
BECKY too cute! Scooter is pretty good at "dropping" hints. I miss my Lu already.
Heading out in the am.. be back when I can.

BECKY I do take it as a win that I haven't gained b/c I feel as if i'm eating a LOT and enjoying it way more. But since I started this I only had that one night where I was off the hook. Other than that I've been 100% compliant and it's EASY. It's really about retraining habits. Cute on Scooter and the bowl. JT if I could whistle, I'd be woooo hoooooing at your cast. (I'm a louse whistler). GOOD luck on your garage sale CONNIE. SuZE I was in full on panic mode when I took off down the street to escape the cloud of bees. I was completely surrounded by them. They were moving east as a swarm but moving around and around w/in it. Like a tornado of bees. NO S: CHECK 8,000 Steps: x 5/week... today was day 5. I'm still weaning myself off my Unisom sleep aid and I'll take just 1/2 pill again tonight. I'm not sure it did anything b/c my sleep sucked but my aim is no sleep aids by Monday (unless I have to get to sleep for an early wake up... so emergency use only). It's still warm out. 83 at 10PM. The wind has died down a LOT and is 17MPH w/ 19 gusts but it was a lot worse than that earlier. Things on my patio blew over. I think more of the same for the next couple of days. Bob has his son's engagement party tomorrow evening and LUCKILY I have a "appetizer and beverage" tasting party at a new local place that just opened. So gee, unfortunately I have to miss the party. SO SAD. I'm going to get ready for bed. Saving my showering for the morning so my hair will look good tomorrow and so that my pedicure lotion won't wash off. My legs have been so dry. Good night all.

Celeste....yikes on the bees! Especially with an allergy to the little devils! Des Moines is about 3 hrs southeast of us....all quiet on the western front! It’s actually chilly.
Sandy...ooo weee! That’s hot! No thanks!
Connie...hope you sell lots & make lots of $$$
Becky....that would have scared the heck out of me to have that bowl dropped in the middle of the night! I guess Scooter was sending a message! Good Blue Bloods tonight!!
Suze....safe travels & have fun!
Made great salads for dinner....greens, hard boiled egg, avocado, crumbled bacon, cheddar cheese, grilled chicken. Very filling.
Need to hit the hay so I can get moving in the morning. Goodnight 💤
