I didn't post last night I guess.. meant to but my computer is acting strange.. just shutting down randomly.. no warning, nothing. I don't think it's the computer, but maybe the plug? Anyway we are going to get an electrician in to check things out..
Kathie, I found some really nice self watering pots at the dollar store.. I couldn't believe it.. They are nice ones.. The last time I went they had a lot of different kinds of pots. I bought a few for my arrangements.
Didn't do much today, felt tired all day. sometimes I need to sleep late because I go to sleep so late.. sometimes hubby keeps waking me up to tell me this or ask me that. I'm not real energetic but even less when I don't get enough sleep. I only need about five hours.. He sleeps so much more and that's ok because he needs it. But I never wake him when he's sleeping. I do talk to him about it and he says ok.. he will not wake me up from now on.. then he forgets in about two days and starts waking me anyway. He's having lots of memory issues lately it seems.
I'm so upset with King I could just spit. It's hard enough for kids to grow up in this time.. without having to go through all this too. I'm so sorry they are having to suffer the consequences of an uncaring persons actions. Just not fair.
Hope everyone sleeps well. Jenny

Haircut this morning and Fred takes the car in at 1 to get it rechecked as to why it's not cooling again! Maija has one exam this morning and then Debbie is taking her to what I hope is her last counseling session with her father as I don't see it doing her any good as all it does is make her angry. After that either Maija or Fred will take Debbie back to work as the car getting checked is the one with a parking permit on it for Debbie to park at the hospital where she works.
I really don't understand how individuals like King and Jeff are able to fool people. Funny as my second son, Joe, told us he never did like or trust Jeff. Just in his gut that he wasn't nice and a fake. I'm not usually fooled by people but I guess I just was trying very hard to like him for Debbie's sake.
Jeff's case is continued to June 28 so we don't know what that means. Maybe he pleaded not guilty and will have a jury trial? But until it happens and results posted we won't know anything for sure.
My weight is up big time but I think with all the heat and humidity I might be retaining water even though I am drinking a lot of it!

Good Morning Molly and Colorful Flowers and Sweet Memories,
Molly, thanks for the great job you’ve done keeping us going all month.
We had a low of 68Âş and going up to 92Âş and partly cloudy with winds light and variable.
There are no special plans for today except to try to figure out how to get everything packed because we will have to move out within a few days.
MJ and Hannah did a bit of grocery shopping yesterday and the rest of us stayed home. We all enjoyed a quiet day. We’re trying to sort through things and have to find some boxes to start packing our stuff. We have no idea where we will move.
We continued our game of Monopoly last night and we’ve been playing for about an hour every evening. I think this was our third night playing this game.
Maxine Calendar: Thursday 5/31: I’d fill in the bald spots on my lawn, but I like to leave a little room for crabgrass.
Peanuts Calendar: Thursday 5/31: THE DAILY EXTRA: World Traveler – By the Number – 4: Major League Baseball teams (Dodgers, Giants, Cubs and Astros) managed by Leo Durocher on his way to a career total of 2,009 wins.
The following letters were sent from Japan about 2-3 years after we first arrived there. This one was a newsletter written by DH Bill 12/30/1957. Dear Friends, “The world’s largest city last night held its annual Christmas Eve binge, a fabulous mixture of church carols and pagan bacchanalia followed by a king-sized hangover. Forgotten by the bulk of the celebrants, a small minority of Christians observed the birth of the Christ Child quietly at church services and in gatherings at home or with friends.” Quoted from a front page story in the Japan Times, December 25, 1957. Yokohama Lutheran Church gathered a congregation of 35 for the Christmas Eve service. I preached the sermon and conducted the service of Holy Baptism. One high school girl became a church member by adult baptism. About half of the group assembled were seekers, one man in a Christian Church for the first time in his life. Christmas Day we had a program at Yokohama Church for the children. (Yokohama Church is now meeting at 29 Mitsuzawa until the new church is built and the church has taken over the Sunday School at the preaching place.) 110 children gathered in the 12 by 20 room to view Christmas filmstrips and receive gift books and attendance recognition. Christmas night we watched as six ambitious young people from my English Bible Class presented an adaptation of Henry Van Dyke’s, “The Other Wise Man.” Mr. Shiraishi, Miss Seshiyama, two little boys, two young people, Doris and myself were the audience. I had left the publicity in the hands of the class members and they were too bashful to invite their friends. The English was excellent, not due to my masterful teaching but because of the ambition of this group. (to be continued tomorrow). To be continued tomorrow . . .

Molly, thanks for keeping the month of May up and running each day. Great job.
75 to 96 today. Sunshine. I am going to go out and mow some before it gets too hot. That is all I have planned. So dunno what after that.
Doris, you will have a place to move. Don't worry. Can MJ work somewhere?
That reminds me, Son called this morning. The college girl started work today at a restaurant. It is also close so no 45 minute drive as she would have had if she had gotten on at Academy or some place in Tyler. He said she was one more happy camper.
Guess that is it for now. Gotta go air up a tire and get to mowing. It is up to 78 but there is a good breeze. Windmill turning.
Have a good last day of May. Where did it go? Lucy
PS: Someone asked about camping. Well, Trace wants to come and we will camp when he has his off week. He works 3 on 1 off.

Hello.
It was a pleasant 72Âş this morning after a night of storms. Today will be warm and muggy. DGD1 is supposed to bring her laundry over today. She plans to stay till it is done. Last night she made goulash for our dinner, and she did very well. Of course that is an easy dish to prepare, but it is always a favorite around here.
Prayers for MJ, Debbie, and their precious girls. This will take a while, and they are lucky to have the support of their families. Prayers that things are resolved soon.
Today is the last day of school here. Happy kids!
Have a happy day, friends. Diane

Hi Molly and Colorful Flowers and Sweet Memories,
Gonna be a hot one, it's already 69 and sunny, wind SSW 4 mph, high 89. Sure hope I can get the ac working.
Got an early morning (6:49) phone call from sis-in-law, didn't answer, didn't feel like talking to her first thing in the morning, and why in the world would anyone call that hour unless it's an emergency? Which this wasn't. Oh well. Today need to make a Costco run, King Soopers to pick up a script, and drop off a bag of donation stuff. Then the AC guy is to come by this afternoon. Oh and need to make one more phone call other than all that will see what else will get accomplished.
Doris, I thought you had two weeks to get out. YIKES! a few days is not time to pack, find a place, and move.
Jenny, you need to rest, your body has gone through a lot these past months, be patient. My late SO would come up and say, "Is anyone alive up here?" when I'm not awake by 6. How annoying. I wonder what he would of done if I didn't move or say anything. Now that's annoying and I'd have to tell him the night before if I plan to sleep in. He'd expect me to be up between 5:45 and 6 even if I get home from a trip at midnight. Very inconsiderate and selfish, in my opinion.
Sandy, maybe it's a little early for Maija to go to therapy. Could be that she's still trying to sort through her feelings, digest what's happening and turning her whole world upside down. Therapy often times is something one needs to decide on their own when they need it if they do. So much has gone on in a short period of time, she may just need time. Just a thought.
Lucy, I see your feet itching to go camping.
Molly, thank you for the great month of May. You did an outstanding job keeping us going. You can now consider yourself experienced!
Well off to look for the Costco ad and my shopping list. Have a wonderful day everyone, and stay as cool as you can. BBL

Got er done. Looks nice out there. Showered the dust off myself and started the washer with sheet off the bed DGGD slept in. Put on my tan jeggings. y'all they are not bad with a tunic. My legs are the biggest part of me so that is why it has been hard for me to give in. I don't wear shorts that are above my knees either because of my horrible varicose veins. Always hated bathing suits for that very reason. My KS sis never let it bother her and her veins were worse than mine.
Yep, King probably reads the thread and most likely laughs. I just can not see anyone doing stuff like that to their own kids.

Molly you have really done a great job for May and it is one of my favorite months. Thank You.
the flower yesterday was a rhododendrum. that particular bush looked a bit leggy but they get that way after lot of years if not pruned now and then but the flowers continue to be beautiful. My neighbors are so thick you hardly see into the bush at all. They come in many different colors and shades. One of our most beautiful bushes.
I am off to get my container flowers today, no hurry and like these days with no rush to anything. House is nice and clean and all the clutter put away except for the checkbook and some bills I still do by mail and need to get to later this evening. If I don't leave them out I will forget. Can't do that, need to get the check book in order.
I think maybe the therapy for Maija is good to help her sort through her feelings and be angry. She should be allowed to be angry and later on can find ways to deal with it. Right now she needs to get it out in the open not keep it all inside. Debbie needs to be angry right now as well. The anger is what kept my DD on the path to dealing with getting out of a marriage she really worked so hard at. Just my opinion. My DD and the kids are not longer angry, they just shug and say it's his problem!! Not ours. Glad they finally got to that place. he is still a jerk and always will be.!! But not their jerk!

Son called. See their Marine son in law will be in training for almost 3 weeks. So wife and 2 kids will be at son's I think this coming Monday. Anyway the 4 year old wants to tent camp so that is in the planning stage right now. So a camping we will go.
So much craziness kids have to deal with these days. I know a certain amount is the norm now. Like my oldest DGD and her X. The 13 and 14 years old have had the crazy norm for at least 11 years now. 14 yr old has chosen now to go live with Dad starting tomorrow. Dunno how that will last. Dad bribed him with a motorcycle.

Where did the month of May go? Seems like it just started. I'm singing in my head "June is Bustin Out All Over". I just got home from the dentist - had my permanent crowns put on two teeth. Now the left side of my mouth is all done unless they find something else on my routine appointment on June 14th. Not sure if I'll do a lot of work on the right side of my mouth. Kind of short on $$ since there have been some large bills coming - insurance, estimated taxes, property taxes, etc. Have to take Harley the ferret for a glucose check at 2:00 - she has insulinoma (low blood sugar) and we are trying to get her medication right. So far she is on a low dose, check is to see if this is working or if she will need to up the dose. Only other plans to do a load of laundry and maybe spot clean the carpet.
