Thanks for the input. I told DH if she does come back, she'll be a pill to work with. I already stay clear of the band director as much as possible. She so nasty and negative. My first thought and what I'll do is to keep my mouth shut. I'll see if anything comes up on the trip, but I'm not going to be the one to snitch.
Have been on the couch all day. Took a nap. The ONLY reason I got up to shower was to go out to dinner. Autumn chose Olive Garden. I only ate 1/2 my entree, but had salad and 2 bread sticks. Over the past few months, I've been watchful of my choices, even the not so good ones. Got an email from WW today saying my cc was declined. Double checked w/ DH and he said he hadn't changed anything (sometimes he'll stop the card and forget to tell me to use another one), so I responded with "try it again". I plan to cancel it anyway since I haven't even tried to follow the program. I did really well with the low carb diet when I followed it. I believe I'm going to get myself together and make that a plan. It's easy to follow even when traveling and I'm going to be doing a good bit of traveling this summer. I also need to detox on the Dt Mt Dew. I've done it before, but that's going to wait until I get back from this trip next week.
Speaking of trip. I'm going to Springfield, MA. The world news reported a serial killer was caught there today (yesterday). That did not sound too good to me. I'll have to try to explain the reasons behind the trip in an email, not public forum.
DH said his mom called and apologized for being ugly to him. Can't remember if I told y'all she got real nasty when he told her no. I know she wanted to go to Z's graduation, but there was no way that could happen in her condition. Told the kids if she called, they can talk to her now.
Finally was able to do a little catching up, but still didn't go back weeks. Connie, so very thankful you and DH are ok from the trip. My DH is an aggressive driver and I've gotten to where I just sit in the back and read on my phone or take my kindle and say a prayer every time we go somewhere.
Suze, please be careful in this heat. Did you ever figure out your headaches? And, is your foot better?
JT, I know you're glad the cast came off. Is the arm healed? Any PT you have to do?
Sandy, praying for Dale to change his way of thinking on foods. We struggle, so I can imagine he would as well. Anything you change and cook, he has to eat, right? Enjoy your ball games
Becky, you injured yourself on your bike? How are you now? This heat is going to be stifling this summer. I know we don't like the cold temps, but 100+ is crazy. DH just dropped his head when he saw the weather forecast for the next few days. He's on lifeguard duty every day, except Wed.
Angie, enjoy the littles. At least this time it's on your turf.
Celeste, sounds like Bob is about to go through more difficult things with his mom. But it also sounds like a nursing facility is where she needs to be. Oh, and I tagged you in a recipe on FB.
Terry, surgery? Praying for a speedy recovery.
Waves to Mary and Louise if they stop in.
Alright, I'm off to go lay in the bed. Change of scenery and more slug-like for the rest of the night. Why change anything on day 1?

Steph I think you made a wise decision concerning the teacher. My recumbent bike has a bar on the floor holding up the bike.I have very thin and not well supported slippers and when I stepped on the bar I hurt my foot somehow. It's hurt for a little over a week.I may end up calling my NP next week but it hurts on the top, right outer edge around my little toe.If it's my little toe they can't do anything anyway. They said it was 99 today but we didn't get quite that high here. With the humidity it's over 100 every day anyway.
Good luck on your low carb diet.I don't do well on low carb b/c it really aggravates my IBS b/c of not enough fiber.I'm not paying WW anymore either.I'm on ITrackBites and tracking Smart Points on their app.I got the pro version before it went up so $12/yr vs $20/month for WW freestyle was more or less a no brainer for me.I hope you can enjoy some of your summer.

Hey all. Happy Friday!! So glad the week is over. Hope to sleep in a little tomorrow.
Steph, I have my PT eval next week and hope to be losing my splint soon. I see the doctor on the 14th Thanks for asking. My response to your question is say nothing. What if she is just mouthing off for attention and you say something to the principal and she gets fired. You'll feel terrible. If she does decide to leave with no notice, shame on her. She is going to look very unprofessional. A trip to Springfield, MA? I heard about the serial killer caught today too. Weird story from what I heard.
Suze and Celeste, very weird dreams.....must be those snacks or lack of sugar! I never remember dreams. Both of you need to be careful with the heat. Celeste you may boil away in that hot weather. The pool can't be too refreshing when it's that hot. Be careful.
Angie, question for you. Do you own and run a B & B or are you just referring to your home as the B & B because the family is coming? Enjoy your time with them.r
So it's June 1st - I still can't wear my FB, but am going to walk 20 mins/5x a week, increase my water to 100 oz a day and increase my fruit and veggies to 3 servings a day. These are measurable and should be doable. I'm not setting a pounds to lose, but will try to lose something.
So for today, I did walk for 20 mins, I've had 3 servings of fruit and veggies, and I need to drink another 10 oz of water which I can do, so looks good for today.
Waving to all. See you tomorrow.

BECKY my headache is gone. I think it's lack of sleep (I can barely keep my eyeballs open at 8:30) and heat and I needed to stay hydrated. But I feel good now. And LOL it wasn't SUZE's dream (I don't think). I think it was the heat. Mad Dogs and Englishmen go out in the noonday sun (and I'm not English!) And WOW on you getting in 10K steps (or even close). I'm only at like 6K and not going to do anything more. BECKY thanks for the reminder of low carb/hi protein fat diet. It did NOT do well w/ my gut. I really have to be careful. I LOVE LOVE the new WW program and it IS sustainable for me EXCEPT I was eating too many beans and I was MISERABLE. I hate chicken and turkey breast so my main 0 point protein go to food was beans and boy was I in pain. Not just normal person gas. Terrible cramping pain. hahaha CONNIE you may be right about my pellets. I hope work goes smoothly until you can catch up on some of your sleep. I feel your pain as far as being sleep deprived and grouchy. I'm grouchy enough when I have sleep!! And yeah, Vince was in Law and Order for several years and also Full Metal Jacket. Those are the only things I know him from. I think he's more of a "guy's" actor. He sure ain't cute! SUZE cool that your closet is going to have more space. You know what that means? MORE SHOES!! STEPH I think your decision is wise. I mean you can ALWAYS change this decision. But once you do talk to the principal there's no going back. Also I don't know why but I got onto a Keto/Low carb website and boy those foods looked good. I am eating way too many starchy carbs. Interesting on Springfield. Yeah on Bob and his mom. When she went in, the PLAN was to go home today but that QUICKLY changed. I think she's kind of given up but I get that. She has no hope for anywhere near a normal life. She's abused the hell out of her body for so long there's no going back. Sorry about DH and his mom. I'm sure she was disappointed but the REALITY of the situation and her image of the reality are 2 different things. Spirit is willing and flesh is weak kind of thing. I'll go on FB and check!! We went to British Lion Pub b/c I wanted some Guiness beef stew but instead I got fish and chips and it was AMAZING. 2 cod filets very very lightly battered and fried. Not at all greasy. I'm a happy camper. I need to go grocery shopping tomorrow. I'm out of Bubbie's pickles and I need lemons. ANd MORE VEGGIES. So I need to make 5 F&V part of my daily goals again. I'm clean and in jammies and ready for bed. I can barely keep my peepers open.

JT the pool really isn't refreshing. It's great if you're floating around on a raft w/ a drink but it's ALREADY a bit warm to be refreshing. I hope you can lose your splint but it wounds as if you've been a very complaint lil gal!! ANd yes if you're not in TEXAS, land of hellish temps, 20 min is very do-able. But you'd melt here even at 7AM or 11PM.
ANd like you I'm so bad on F&V. ANd I like Veggies especially a LOT. Not sure how I derailed my healthy eating. I mean I eat too much but it's normally very healthful. Lately I never met a dish of pasta, a pizza crust or a tater I don't want to suck up like a HOOVER!! That's gotta stop. Besides, it's hard getting in enough fiber the way I've been eating. White bread. WHite pasta. Not good

Mowing done. It was after 8 when I finished-still light enough to walk Lu. So I've gotten my steps in and then some the past couple days.
CELESTE you betcha on the shoes! I'll be able to move the clothes bars all the way to the back where tgey belong and add another organizer shelf unit. Actually I've had to get rid of some shoes that either don't have enough support or won't accomodate orthotics, or just don't work following surgery. And my work sandals need to be replaced, they absolutely don't have enough arch support now and my foot get sore and burns at the surgery site when my foot isn't supported. But that means I can buy new ones! (And I have been😉)

I need to cancel my WW subscription, too. I've been trying to follow a Mediterranean diet. Not being militant about it, but doing the best I can. I have to say, just taking the pressure of "dieting" off has done wonders for my psyche. I've been at it for maybe 3 weeks and I was down 1.2 pounds for May. Not much, but more than I've lost on WW since January. Once they deliver my new fridge Monday I will be able to cook again. Right now there is no place to put leftovers. I've been living on veggie filled pre-made salads, sometimes adding grilled chicken, Progresso Lentil soup, eggs, peanut butter with apples, and Greek yogurt with granola. Oh, and before my fridge went out I was having avocado toast on Dave's Killer 21 whole grains bread. Yum! Need to pick up more of that bread and avocados.
So according to my Fitbit, I've averaged 10,000 steps for the last 3 months and about 8600 steps since January. (January-March I was pretty sedentary!) by the end of the year I would like my yearly average to be 10,000. Last year my yearly average was about 9100. I was pretty proud of that, and my MD gave me kudos at my annual check-up.
We have been working on outdates at work the last 2 nights. Mind numbingly tedious and enough to make your eyes cross after a while. But necessary. We do a thorough check every 3 months and a quick check of short dated items which we mark every month. Should have it all done by Monday.
SUZE- when we added a new furnace to our house about 8 years ago, we eliminated a heating unit from a closet in our bedroom. I took it over and it has made all the difference. These old houses have such crappy closets! Every little bit helps.

SUZE if you get a chance, check out ABEO sandals online. Between my surgery for plantar fasciitis on one foot and that bone spur and arthritis in the other, I have to be very careful of what shoes I wear. I need good arch support and a nice heel cup. Vionic does that for me but whe I was walking the TTT and my tennies became unbearably uncomfortable I got some Abeos and I'd walk the track in sandals. But, they're not cute like Vionics. CONNIE almost every morning of my life I have Dave's killer bread w/ roughly mashed avocado. Except that I put 1 or 2 eggs over easy on top. And a TON of hot sauce. Even Bob who is a bacon guy LOVES that. Amen on crappy closets. THere are only 3 things that I like about this house. I love the workable floor plan, I love how well insulated it is, and I ADORE my 10x10 master closet. It's its own room. It lacks character and is built from paper clips and chewing gum but I LOVE that closet. OMG SANDY so Dale starts w/ Medicare? UGH GOOD LUCK w/ that! OK Actually getting Medicare was painless. It was SS that was a trial. Same building. Different levels of competence. Or does he go on your teacher's insurance? ANd is that for a lifetime? I'm not a huge fan of medicare but it could be worse. I've been sneezing til I pee! One after another after another and they're HUGE sneezes from the depths of my soul. Yesterday was much better allergy-wise. Today? OY VEY. I switched from Zyrtec to Zyzal (sp?) hoping that would help and yesterday I was hopeful. Today.... oh well. Bob is at the dentist getting his bridge worked on. That boy has terrible teeth. He also needs one of the crowns on a front tooth completely redone and I don't know if that's today too. His mom did not go home from the skilled nursing/rehab place (big surprise) and he said they're going to try for Hospice Care in home. Medicare will cover it if the patient's doctor AND a hospice physician stipulates that the patient probably has less than 6 months to live. I don't think the reality of that 6 months thing had hit him b/c he was talking about hospice as if it were just in home care. Period. I just hope whatever it is, it's peaceful. What's the name of that movie? "They SHoot Horses, Don't They?" Not sure what's on the agenda other than grocery shopping (I need me my pickles!!) Mostly hanging at home and keeping cool.

CONNIE I hear ya! this is going to give me about 3' more space.
ok this is odd, I bought a new hot water heater when it was on sale..closeout on the model. regular $600 got it for $275. we opened the box expecting to find a standard round tank heater, and its a tabletop model. I never looked at the box that closely! And actually I didn't know there was such a thing. long story short...it will be fine, and actually will be nicer because the heater is not in a closet so this one will look better in the room....it looks like a dryer its in it's white cover, has 2"+ of insulation all around on the inside and fits perfect in a corner. I would have hated to have to take it back because I didnt read the box.
CELESTE thanks, I'll check them out. Thats exactly what I need...arch support and heel cup, especially if not wearing my orthotics.
Happy Birthday DALE!
Back to work.

Stayed up late reading, which meant sleeping in late. Had left overs for lunch. And other than that....been on the couch, in my pjs, again today. Do need to throw a load of laundry in. Oh, I did start the dishwasher. Z is at work. A will hang at the pool later w/ a friend. Not sure what DH is up to. My brother text letting me know my SIL left today heading back to NC. Her mom & step-dad came out to make the drive with her. So now, I'm thinking I'm going to add a day to my MS trip later in the month to stop in and visit with him & my dad (& other brother if he wants).
I can't even get to thoughts together today.

Weird MIZZ SUZE. i've never heard of that kind of water heater. Is it electric or gas? Bob's mom's house has a hot water heater in the coat closet and it's SMALL and electric. I found when I wear aveos and vionics, I don't have to wear my orthotics. Honestly? I almost never wear them. He said it wouldn't help the nerve and bone spur on the top of my foot at all but might help the arthritis. It didn't.
STEPH I must have skipped over the part where you are going to MS. It only vaguely rings a bell. How long do you plan to be gone and is anyone going w/ you?
I watered some of my plants and "crops" and it was ferocious out there (I'm tired of saying BRUTAL). It's currently 98, heat index of 107 and not a whisper of breeze. My zucchini are already suffering the effects of the daytime heat and then not getting cool enough at night. I have/had about 5 zucchs the size of my index finger and then they turn yellow and shrivel up. However I found ONE that at first I thought was an eggplant! It was so dark green it was almost black and it was maybe 5 inches long but REALLY fat! A total mutant zucchini! I brought it in and am afraid to cut it b/c an alien MIGHT come out. YOu never know.
I've gotten about 8 cherry tomatoes so far. Very tasty but kind of thick skin. I"m guessing I'll get a 2nd and better crop this fall. Or winter if this heat persists.
I want to buy a camper. I don't know why b/c I don't camp. Maybe an airstream but the kind w/ the mercedes truck b/c my little SUV isn't strong enough to tow. Not that I can afford 160K or would ever use it. It just looks like it COULD be fun. Except for the part that you have to drive it somewhere and you have to fill w/ gas and fill water tanks and drain out the sewage and grey water and and and....... One of those "cool in theory" kind of things. BUT if you have one and you're driving to the store and have to go to the bathroom you're good to go!!

JT Your 20 minute walk 5 days a week sounds very doable.I used to love walking on our country road in the mornings before it got hot here and now with my foot and the heat no way.I'll be getting my steps on my bike,in the house and grocery stores.
Celeste I'm glad your headache is gone.As far as my steps I walk in the house some,I do the recumbent bike 20 min at a time 3 x day and I get 1000 plus steps for each 20 minutes and it seems like we are going to the grocery store every day lately so today I got steps in HEB and Walmart but when I walk in both stores while shopping my foot really hurts by time I get through.I never did love the new WW program.I'm not losing on SP at the moment either I guess b/c I don't have much to lose.I can't believe I have gone almost a week without weighing.I used to weigh every morning b/c of my IBS but I figure if I'm up it's more than likely that. You shouldn't beans if it gives you that much pain.Speaking of beans though tomorrow night will start another round of chili beans.Tonight will be the last pork chop.
Connie Congrats on your May loss.I don't think I lost anything.I don't WI at home until tomorrow. You are doing great with your steps.I have set my goal back some.If I get it I do and if my foot or knees hurt I just won't get it.
Celeste Is there actually a dentist open on Saturdays?I hope Bob can get his mom hospice care.It would probably be better for her to be in her own home with people helping her.
Happy Birthday Dale.
Steph Feel better and stay inside. It's hot out there.

I have several trips planned for the summer. All work related, but one.
June MA - leave Wed-Fri MS - (w/ a stop to visit brother) 6/20- for about 5 days. Taking Autumn with me.
July 7/9 - San Antonio...this one is not set in stone just yet. I'm on a waiting list, so not sure if it will happen. 7/23 - Ft Worth - professional development
And possibly another trip to my brother's to pick up my sewing machines. He has them in a climate control storage.
