I know you are all going to be absolutely green with envy because I get to go to the dentist for a crown today woohoo ππΎπππ Oy, prednisone strikes again. I keep thinking about sullicat1's story. So what exciting things do you have going on?! Believe me, even a litter box changing story wins this round

As always, very grateful to have Fridays off. My scale decided to stop giggling at me and dropped the 2 + lbs that it was showing yesterday. That was a peculiar jump. No puffing, no food reason. Hadn't had an unpredictable weigh in like that since I restarted WW in Nov. 2015. I think that scale was just messing with me and I am going with that story.
Went for a nice morning walk. Even though the temps are in the 30's it is sunny and felt good. Off to do errands and Friday morning stuff. Will do a quick visit to Costco. I don't normally like shopping but love Costco shopping. That is my weekend excitement Deb!

Hey Friends...a lot of excitement on the horizon! I'm off for my final leg injection....I'm presuming there won't be any discomfort after the past two weeks, so really glad I gave it a try
Waving to all!

Happy Friday to all! I do have a busy weekend planned. I've already gotten my 2 mile walk in and getting ready for a light breakfast. I'm meeting my girl friends for lunch at a new restaurant in our area. It's called First Watch and they have breakfast foods, salads, soups and sandwiches. I checked their menu and Wow! it'll take a lot of points to eat here. I'm going to try for a salad with dressing on the side. Then, after school I'm picking up the 2 grand kids to spend the night while their parents have a date night tonight. I grilled fajita meat yesterday so tonight we'll have tacos with the fixins. I made SF jello for dessert and the kids can add whipped cream to theirs. We'll be playing board games and having fun together. They love coming to Camp Grammy so I play with them! Ha! Sunday night we'll be meeting with the grands again and their parents for DGS 8th birthday dinner. His big sis is 10. I love this age because they like to play with me and the hormones and mood swings haven't started yet! Hope everyone has a good weekend. DebDoesWW sorry about the dentist appt. Hope all goes well.

Thanks dina guessing you don't want to trade?! Yay Beth! I hate when those mystery pounds appear at our age. Enjoy Costco, I always get my steps in when I go there, I love wandering and checking everything out. Good luck ksbruns , I am so glad they have gone so well! Woohoo taco party at linda72's tonight! Road trip that sounds like so much fun Linda, what a fantastic weekend you have on tap, enjoy! And thank you π

Good morning. I don't know yet if it is sunny or not, the sun isn't up yet and I can't tell from the sky whether it is clear or overcast. I think it is mostly clear.
My scale has not been playing nicely since Sept. when I went on prednisone for an inflammatory disorder called polymyalgia rheumatica that caused very painful arms. I am down to half of what I had been taking, but the scale doesn't seem to want to recognize that. I will be off of the prednisone in another couple months and hopefully my efforts to eat less and healthier will start showing up on the scale. Sooner rather than later, please. I can fully sympathize with Deb regarding the prednisone wonder drug.
Nothing special going on for me this weekend. Tomorrow I'll run into town for evening Mass and pick up a few groceries. Sunday afternoon my son will be coming and will stay until Tuesday, and that's about it.

We have a First Watch here too linda72 and it is very good with great healthy options. I went for breakfast and chose a healthy egg white omelette with greens on side

Oh cherryt38 my mom had PR, so sorry you are dealing with it Yeah the scale is not real fond of letting go of prednisone weight unfortunately.

dina thanks for the suggestion at First Watch. Even the healthy omelet has 17 SP which is surprising but it appears to be the "cheapest" choice. Most of the salads are 25-26 SP. (although I would eat the dressing on the side) Wow, it's hard to eat out at restaurants!

Thanks DebDoesWW it was a miserable summer. It took awhile to determine that was what it was. Not only was it my arms, but compensating for the way I had to use them, my right hip got really sore, then my left knee, and I could barely get around all spring and summer. My knees are bad from arthritis anyway, and this really did a number on the left one. I finally got a cortisone shot in my knee and that made all the difference in the world. The hip pain (bursitis) went away by itself. The prednisone really helped the arms and I'll just have to deal with the weight.

I'm IN.
T*G*I*F.
It hasn't been a bad week, just a weird one. But DayJob has been slow and here at the MousekeHouse that means that the pantry is sounding its siren call (Chips! PopTarts!). Must resist. Am starting to contemplate taking the afternoon off. I can use it for the grocery run we will not be able to do tomorrow.
MUST consider... have a healthy-eating day, all!
