I'm IN.
I'm checking in early today; I really feel a need to "touch base" with my WW peeps, especially since I'm heading to my WW weigh-in but skipping the meeting (I believe that the topic is about exercise/mindful movement).
We're going to Longwood Gardens for the Orchid Extravaganza and also for a tour of the Production Greenhouses at 11:30 AM (the drive takes that long).
THAT will be a day of walking/mindful movement!. Of course, they also have their cafe... and it IS possible to have a healthy lunch. Also possible to have one that is much-less-so.
See you Saturday evening. Have a healthy-eating day.

Morning all ! Enjoy Longwood diva49 ! Didn't know the Orchid Extravaganza was on. DH's niece usually has an entry. It's a bit chilly today so walking to the greenhouse and cafe will be brisk! Had the best mushroom soup there, once. Enjoy your day. Nothing exciting planned here. So many indoor chores to do today. Need to seriously think my "diet" plan. Up 1.4 at meeting yesterday. Still within range but I'm not happy living in the yellow-orange zone. Hershey kisses are not helping!

diva49, would love to see the orchids I used to have 50 rose bushes but never entered in any competitions. Unfortunately, deer and hurricane destroyed them. pbnj, love Hershey kisses but easy to lose control. Challenging eating day, baby shower at lunch and oyster roast at the club tonight! Happy Saturday!

I'm up early with the grandkids. We're having breakfast and watching cartoons. Brings back memories of my own kids on Saturday mornings. They spent the night and will be here this morning until their parents come get them around noon. Until then we'll be playing board games and having fun together. After that, I can collapse! LOL!!

Enjoy the gardens MJ. Yes, the meeting is about mindful movement but you already have that plan in place. Pat β LOL on the kisses. I too am in the yellow zone but I know sodium has been an issue that will be worked on starting today. Itβs hidden everywhere! Linda β Double food events are always difficult to manage. Linda β Enjoy the grandkids! That does bring back childhood memories. The CO alarm awoke me at 4:30 to let me know the battery was low. I will be stocking up on batteries today. Plans for the weekend got cancelled so I am having a lazy morning. Will take a later gym class, walk Charlie, clear gutters and reformulated my food plan for the day.

Good morning. I'm up, but that's about it. On my first cup of coffee.
Not much going on today. I'll be going into town later for evening Mass. There's a chance of snow today, but very little accumulation. And there's more wind than there has been the last several days.

Good morning, Friends. My leg is feeling fine, so one more quiet day and I figure I will be in the *let's see* zone. I'm so grateful it went so easily, I was definitely wired about it. I lowered my daily points by 2 yesterday (don't worry, I was already at 38, LOL.) I just have not been able to knock off that January pound consistently and decided drastic action was in order. I didn't have any trouble getting through the day so π£π£π£; I can have sleep issues if I *think* I am hungry. I finished Chapter 3 of the Mindful Eating course yesterday (nothing like an afternoon with your leg up!) While there's nothing new in the course, I think reminders are always helpful and I'm trying to incorporate the thoughts more...I have always depended on measuring and tracking telling me when to stop because I inhale my food. And I got several things off the DVR and will continue today! I am pedal to the metal with some knitting, I sound like π΅π» for sure. diva49 I always heard of Longwood when we lived in Pittsburgh and never made it...we had the fantastic Phipps Botanical Gardens which were at the top of my favorites list in PGH....have fun! I have no doubt but that you will be mindful and move! Thanks for the commitment of the healthy day of eating; that helps me to see it. linda72 Have so much fun! Waving to lmenglish pbnj cherryt38 and susiq25679 π

diva49 thank you for kicking us off and setting such a marvelous example MJ! Way to work the program, you certainly don't need the meeting today since you are living it! pbnj, you are catching yourself and recovering quickly, welcome to maintenance. That is the super secret, shhh don't tell anyone and thank you for the smile! lmenglish I knew I loved you for a reason! I am a rose bush collector too from way back. In CA if there was a spot of soil and some sun, in went a bush, love them. Have a wonderful time at your events today linda72 that sounds like heaven so glad you are getting grandma time in. susiq25679 why do those things never go off during the weekdays when you need to get up anyway?! Sorry your plans got cancelled but enjoy your lazy day, those are always a good thing every once in a while cherryt38 hope you are staying above 0! Have a wonderful day everyone!

Good Morning Coffee, snow flurries, and a typical winter Saturday on tap. Hearing about the Orchid Extravaganza at Longwood Gardens diva49 makes me want to hop in the car and go. Just 45 minutes drive but, the walking would do me in. Have a great time! Whether low key or adventurous, I hope everyone enjoys the day!

Good Saturday all! Cold here in VA this morning.
I ventured into uncharted territory today. I set the alarm and went to the WW center for my first meeting ever. It was a 7 am meeting. They had told me that I could weigh and attend a meeting for free before signing up. I wanted to compare my scale and weight with clothes. The good news is that it was .4 less than mine right before leaving the house. The leader was great and I got to talk to her a bit. Huge meeting for 7 am and apparently is it big on a regular basis. I want to keep my Thursday WI day and the leader does the Thursday morning meeting. When I talked to her again after the meeting she said her Thursday group is great too.
It was interesting to see the similarities and differences to online. Most regulars there seem to use paper/pencil. They are more into the products and packaged foods. A member mentioned Skinnytaste and it seemed to be new to many. Not that many Fitbit users. But the thoughts and feelings of course are the same. I even liked the mindfulness topic. I was surprised that I even thought the stickers and cheers were fun since it was an engaging group. So all my worries about going to meetings were settled.
They told me that the special for pay for two and one month free ends next week so I came home and called WW and signed up for the 3 month pass. I guess I am officially becoming a meetings member this week.
It is good timing with the recorded weight up this past Thursday since the first weigh in with clothes is higher. It went down and if it continues I may come closer to breaking even for that first weigh in at the center. Glad I went and now the journey to goal and lifetime will get real. I will be inching my way there but the road is paved!
