Good Morning.
Its a crisp 6 degrees this morning. I've been up since 4:45 for no particular reason. I have some errands to run this morning and then I intend to hunker down for the weekend. My pointsettias are telling me loud & clear they would prefer not to stick around till Christmas so it looks like I'll be redoing the mantle among other things this weekend. I don't bake but I wouldn't turn down a butter cookie or 2 if someone wants to drop some off.
fabulous facial yesterday. I always feel so clean after one.
Hope everyone has a great day. BBL.

Hope everyone has a good day!

It's 14 here. I watch the thermometer in my car steadily drop from 27 to 14 as I pulled out of the garage and drove to work. I know it's in my head but it made me feel colder!
We are to get a "wintery mix" tomorrow of snow, sleet, freezing rain, ice and then rain. Which means just overall ick! and it's the last day I have to do my shopping for my niece and DH.
I'm trying to convince myself I don't have a cold. My throat, head, ears and back are all sore. I have vicks for the nose and ears. Drinking peppermint tea for the throat and took some cold medicine.
I'm not sick, I'm not, I'm not, I'm not!!

GOOD morning! I think I actually may mean the "good" LOL sullicat1 I'm baking next week---you're welcome to stop by and nibble. A facial! Definitely a gift to yourself. hpeterson1951 Ok, You ARE not sick, not sick! (keep taking the vitamin C, zinc, whatever makes you feel better.) I'm trying to get up enough gumption to go our in the cold (it's 16 here) Having a bathing suit under my clothes is not a warm thought! I haven't done any real moving since Tuesday so the body is going to complain for sure. WW weigh in later. Feeling good about it after my 'colonic' !! Catch you all later!

Tied with Heather at 14 degrees here - have no idea what the windchill is though. About to take my kitty to the specialist again. Just when her Achilles tendon seems to finally be healing after 3 1/2 months, the front leg has gone south. Feel better Heather.
Hope everyone stays warm and has a good day!

It's 17 here (with a wind chill of 5)! BRRRRRRRRRRR! Is it spring time yet? I'm so glad it's Friday! I plan to finish up making Christmas candy this weekend and my mom, daughter, and myself are going to a holiday tea tomorrow at a local tea house! It should be so much fun!! I'm just hoping the crappy weather stays away! I hope you all have a GREAT day!

Good morning. sullicat1 it is a crisp -6 here this morning with the high for today a -3. Over the weekend we're supposed to be getting overnight lows of -20 and -21 with wind chill factors of -30 to -40. But Monday the high will be around 30 above and will stay near that for several days at least. It's hard getting used to this kind of weather when it first comes. I didn't get my soap made yesterday, but it is on my agenda for this morning. I did, however, get in some exercise. Inside, nothing outside when it is this cold. I may do a little baking but not much. My son, the Father, brings plenty of goodies on Christmas which he gets from his parishioners. I do want to bake something for my neighbor and family as he comes and clears the snow out of my yard after a storm. Hope everyone has a nice day, and keep warm.

Checking in. Woke to 15 here in VA with the good news that the feels like temp was the same as the wind finally stopped. Should warm to a cool 30 or so today.
Unexpected open schedule this weekend so I am just puttering and getting this and that done. Will wait until the warming to 30 to get my walk in. Without the wind I can do that for a short time anyway.
Happy Friday all!

Good morning all. 3 degrees this morning with windchill -17. Tomorrow snow, then Sunday up to 50. Lots of crazy weather out there - stay warm everyone! I've only had 2 or 3 facials in my life but I have a gift certificate to a spa and am planning to get one during the week I'm off after Christmas. I haven't made any cookies yet but this weekend I might make a batch of peanut butter kisses and a batch of spritz cookies. Last year I took a plate to the fire station because I didn't want to eat them all! I wonder if they even like getting them or if they get too much stuff and end up tossing it. doordie50, I hope your cat is ok.

Good morning everyone.I am sitting on the 50 degree recliner right now.
You people in the northern states are making me cold and all the bakers are making me gain 5 lbs just talking about the cookies you will be making.
I hope everyone has a great Friday and sending warmer temps for you for the next 2 days b/c that's as long as it will be warm here.At least our cold fronts don't last all winter.

We are up to a toasty 20. It's supposed to be 60 by Sunday. Go figure. Yes I was that nutcase on the boardwalk walking yesterday at lunch, not to mention twice daily Charlie-dog walks sporting his new coat. Going out to lunch today or I would be doing it again. Not a problem when you are dressed for it. Doordie - Hope all goes well with your kitty. My 4 furkids are my kids.

Deb~Does~WW, I have become obsessed with the eagle cam you mentioned yesterday. What a joy it is. Thank you! I am a HUGE bird lover. I look so forward to seeing the eaglets hatch.
It's 20 F in my part of NJ right now. Some snow predicted for tomorrow and then 59 F on Sunday. Can you believe it. Crazy weather!
lmenglish and sullicat, I made giant chocolate chip cookies a couple of days ago. I confess I've overeaten them. Luckily hubby took most to work yesterday. He even forgot they were having the department Christmas party. He was lucky he happen to have something to contribute. I will make a couple more batches cookies. Maybe this weekend. But my plan is to tell my hubby to hide the boxes until maybe the day before Christmas Eve. Other than the apple pie my brother will make for Christmas dinner, the cookies will be the only evil things around. Except a pannetone, which I won't buy until the last minute. After they are gone, no more tempting sweets for me.
