I don't post here very often, but will tonight. Gary, check out United Health Care, with AARP. No need to get any additional supplements with the Advantage plan, no need to let politics get in the way of you getting the best plan for you. With an Advantage plan RX's are covered too. I also have gym memberships included. I can join the Y and several other gyms, do your research before you choose. It varies from state to state so it's best to get professional advice. Is there some one in your church that is in the insurance business?

Congratulations to Brett Cavanaugh to the Supreme Court.
Well the liberals couldn't wait for The President to announce who he had selected to sit on the Supreme Court. Chuck Summer is already using the usual scare tactics. We have heard it all before, they will get rid of ROE Versus Wade. Every election for years we have heard that one. Remember when they tried to scare us by telling us that the Republicans would push Granny over the cliff. I bet that scared some elderly people. We are also told every election that the Republicans want us to drink bad water. So watch out to see what they will try to scare us with in the coming weeks.
Tomorrow the liberal Senators will grill Brett Cavanaugh . The Liberals have already declared they will vote NO. no matter who President choses to join the Supreme Court. But what else can we expect from the party that says NO to everything that comes for a vote if it is brought to the floor by a Republicans.

You are so right Meg. They will indeed do everything they can to try to make President Trump and the whole Republican party look bad. And alreay rowdy protesters are in the capital acting like the morons they are. I don't remember any protestors when obama was doing his idiotic escapades. Even though we didn't care for him or his ideas we did know how to act like decent human beings.

I think Cavanaugh will be a decent member of SCOTUS. My personal favorite was Justice Barrett- but as my Dh mentioned she would probably get grilled for her staunch Catholic faith. Cavanaugh sounds like he is a bit of a Washington insider, so he is used to the histrionics that the left can pull out. It will be a struggle, but I do think he will be confirmed.

gramma14, I signed up for the Humana Walmart Rx plan yesterday. Took an hour on the phone with them to go through all the legal hoops they have to go through, but in the end I think it will be the cheapest plan for me. I too like the prescription mail service but I can also get tier one prescriptions for $1 and the lines at our Walmart aren't too bad most of the time. At the moment I only have 2 prescriptions anyway. I thought about an advantage plan but don't want to be tied to a network. One other silver lining of being terminated at Walmart which forced me into Medicare is that Medicare will cover the Neuropathy treatments with the infrared light and other services my Walmart insurance didn't cover. I am still waiting for my Medicare part B card. Was wondering if I need to wait until I get the card to sign up for a Medicare supplement? I am still leaning toward the Mutual of Omaha plan G. I will have the ability to switch plans at open enrollment every year if I'm not satisfied.
Love President Trump's choice of Brett Kavanaugh. Didn't matter who he chose. The democrats will obstruct and delay hoping for a better mix of senators after the midterm elections. We have news for them - there will be a red wave, not a blue wave. The American people are sick of democrat socialism.

Gary, yes depending on the state the advantage plans are iffy. Some cover a lot including meds but others, like the one available here don't. I don't know what the ones in your state will cover but I do have to say that I really like the Humana Walmart preferred partD. But I take only three meds and I think only one has the $4 copay, the others have a higher copay. I've never had a $1 copay. When I had Mutual of Omaha I loved it too. I had plan F. I think you've made wise choices.I do think that when you first start on Medicare it's best to have a supplement. At first I had BC/BS then tried the first advantage plan because it was no payment. I took this advantage plan the last two years only because I rarely go to a doctor and it's much cheaper. I probably should get back to a medciare supplement in case, since I'm getting older, I need more medical care than I need now. The copays on the advantage plans can add up. For instance $50 when you see a specialist.M of O, of course there was no copay but my payment was up to over $500 a quarter. My payment for the advantage plan I have which is, I remember now, United Health care, is under $300 for the whole year. I sure liked the Humana one they don't have here anymore that had no payment at all.
As to the lines, I'm glad your's are short. I live in a small town but Walmart's pharmacy line is mostly always long with only one or in rare instance a second cashier as I mentioned the other day.
I don't know much about the open enrollment period but I've heard that's only for partD and that if you want to change your supplement that they give you a hard time plus if you've developed any more medical conditions they will charge you more and they charge more as you get older. I don't know how true this is because I really haven't seriously looked into it. I was immediately accepted into M of O because of the fact that I had to change because that Humana advantage plan was no longer available here and they did ask why I was changing and actually said that because it was due to the advantage plan being no longer available they would accept me changing.. As I said I don't know much about it but that was my impression. If you or anyone else knows about this I'd love if you would let me know.I've been meaning to find out more.

Sorry I miss spelled Brett Kavanaugh's name the wrong way last evening. I realized my mistake after I sent my post.
I think he may also be a Catholic, he volunteers for Catholics charities and the liberals may give him a hard time which is what we expect any way. I do think he is a good choice. I haven't listened to the news today as I went out to lunch.
I understand that the boys and their coach are out of the cave. I thank God and all the rescue workers. It is wonderful how rescue teams from other countries can put their differences aside and work to save lives.

Praise God all are out of the cave in Thailand!! What a relief....did all of the rescuers make it out ok also? THink that cave ought to be sealed - so this can never happen again.
And the sky is falling....the sky is falling!!!! I heard the same thing Meg, that Justice Kavanaugh volunteers for Catholic charities. Well he is a bit of a Washinton insider, but I am sure is well prepared for the fight ahead. The left becomes increasingly unhinged as this progresses. Its all pretty funny. Hey we survived 8 years of the poster child for extreme liberalism- Barack Obama. Deal with it left wing wackos.

I got a set of free hearing aid batteries from Miracle Ear for my birthday and my sisters will take me out to dinner tonight. My sister posted a bunch of really old pictures of me on facebook for my birthday. Don't know where she digs them up!
It's fun to watch the left implode. They have nothing to run on except obstructing President Trump which won't fly well in the November midterm, and there will be a landside victory for conservatives in the 2020 elections. We are finally rising up, as Chucky said, only it's against him and his radical left ideology.

OK, Y’all must be speaking about Upchuck Schumer- senator from the great state of New York! (Oh crap, I do live in that state don’t I?). Well its a shame that we have had to endure an eternity with him. Do you know what the most dangerous place on earth is? The space between Upchuck Schumer and a camera. Anyway the man is a blowhard, and does not know his place. I laugh that he thinks that the President and Putin should not meet alone. Really, what is he afraid of? I admit to being disgusted at the reaction to our President while he visits in the UK. Perhaps their greatest objection is that this is the first US president in a long time who stands for American First.

Ginny, sorry you have up chuck to represent you. I have Diane Feinstein and who will remain in office until they carry her out. She is in her mid to late 80s and is running for another term so she will be in her 90s at least before she retires. We have a new Senator and I don't know much about her.
