That is right Meg, you are also blessed with a democrat dumbo. Feinstein is a dinosaur who forgot to remember that she is a relic and ought to retire. Poster child for term limits, as is Upchuck.

Totally unbelievable the complete meltdown over a ONE word mistake by President Trump. "Would" vs. "Wouldn't". Yes they are opposite in meaning and the President was right to correct it, but still they accuse him of "high crimes and misdemeanors" and "treason". They will stop at nothing to bring down this President but I still say he is smarter than all of them put together and he will come out on top.

I hope that there is a sound proof room in the White House where the President can sleep if he wants to. But I think our President is a workaholic and he might enjoy the music as he works.

Been gone for a week visiting the grands. I have not looked at "news" all week. When I left the left was outraged over something, now I understand the left is outraged about something else. Sunrise, sunset.

Ah yes, the left wing radicals wouldn't be left wing radicals if they weren't outraged over something everyday. It's the only thing that gets them attention. If they didn't get publicity from all their stunts they would slowly disappear.
Finally got signed up for my Medicare supplement. I was pleasantly surprised how easy it was with Mutual of Omaha - minimal paperwork and I already have my temporary id card in an e-mail I printed off. Quite a contrast with the Humana Rx plan. Every time I talked to them I was getting a 3 page document in the mail in which only one sentence was relevant - the rest was legaleze - and I'm still waiting for my id card.

Gary, yes Mutual of Omaha was easy to sign up with. I got a phone call and the person signed me up and that was that. for the first part D I had. I went to a program they had at my library where they had people to tell you about plans, the person I spoke to signed me up and it was easy. The first time I signed up I went to the BC/BS office since I didn't know anything about Medicare supplements but I soon went online and took care of all of my changes online after that except the one library program visit. Check out Medicare.com. It's really easy to take care of business on there. All states also have an insurance advisor or advocate that will help. You'll probably want to change companies after M of O raises your rate every year. Check online to see what is available in your state.
For partD's they have a nice feature where it tells you what your total costs for the year will be based on the meds you take and compare that company by company that has plans available to you in your state. Some people buy expensive plans that don't do anymore than the less expensive companies and plans do.
Sounds like you're all set though. I have only talked to Humana once and they were very helpful with a problem I had with one of meds. It was with what Walmart was going to charge me and the woman at humana called Walmart pharmacy then called me back and explained it all..I ended up getting that med from Canada.

The contrast between Mutual of Omaha and Humana was explained to me by my gf with one word: Democrats. Humana is run by Democrats while M of A is run by conservatives. Wish I had known, but the premiums under Humana were the cheapest in my area, and there is always open enrollment. There is a representative who comes to the Senior Center here about once every month or two to help with open enrollment and initial signup for Medicare and the various supplements and options but I just missed her when I was terminated from Walmart, so she will be back in August - I think my sister made an appointment for both of us.

One thing I can add to the discussion is that MofO was wonderful - my mom had them for years (she is gone 3 1/2 yrs now). I never had any trouble with her coverage or payments. WIsh that all insurance was like that. Best of luck Gary- hope you can find coverage that works for you and is affordable.
My husband and I just got back from looney land- we spent 2 days in Washington DC. I have not been there in 30 years- and my Dh has never really visited there. We did a ton of walking. Probably my funniest moment was when I walked past the EPA headquarters- did any of you know that the EPA building is now named for William Jefferson Clinton? OF course that irritated the heck out of me...until I saw that the very building next door is the Trump International Hotel. That brought a smile to my face. Washington is an interesting city...glad we went to see what we did. But I am really glad we are home. Ginny

Ginny, I sure agree. Mutual of Omaha was a great company and I would still have them if their premium hadn't raised so high. All the companies do that though. They tell you that in the beginning....that your rate will go up every year. Then is you start over the beginning rate on all companies is based on your age and health status so if I went back to them I could look forward to a higher beginning rate since I'm 3 years older and also yearly raises in premium.
I saw Feinstein on tv yesterday. Someone needs to put that woman in a nursing home. she can barely walk. Her mouth still works though. Yes term limits are seriously needed and she's the prime example

Add Nancy Pelosi to the list of those needing term limits.
My mom had MOA for many years, and well they might have had increasing rates but she never investigated changing insurers. As I had POA for her affairs I was just super thankful that they paid and I never had a problem with them. Obviously for you and Gary its a different issue.
The assault that our President is facing on a daily basis is awful, just a perfect reminder that the swamp does not want to drain. Totally agree that Comey, Susan Rice, Andrew McCabe....declassify those individuals. They have done their damage but by revoking their security clearance they might feel the wind knocked out of their sails a bit.

When I was terminated from Walmart I had to turn in my badge, my vest, my discount card (although I did get a retiree discount card), etc. It's just like when you leave any job. You have to turn in your badge, access card, equipment, gun, etc. I was surprised to hear former government officials retain their security clearance when they leave government service. It's only right to have to give up your government perks when you leave government including your security clearance. It's really insane the left thinks everybody in government gets to keep their security clearance when they leave.

I had been wondering for some time why some of these government officials were allowed to keep their top secret clearance after they left office. When my DH was in the military he had a top secret clearance which he had to turn in when he retired. All military people who have top secret clearances are not allowed to keep them after they finish an assignment or when they retire. They also not get to keep the clearance forever. Why are some of these people still on the government payroll? Military personnel after 20 years of service do get a pension which is not enough to live on, they do keep some of their other privileges.
I can't believe some of the stuff that is coming out in the news. Every day they come out with something new.

THis is truly a witch hunt where they swamp is going down kicking and screaming because their poster child for honesty and the truth - Hilary- did not get elected. Guess we should have expected this when Barack, upon leaving office think started a political action commitee. called Organizing for Action. They pretty much promised that they would exist to make sure that their agenda stayed in the forefront and that anything President Trump tried to do would be thwarted. Of course my gut reaction is to turn off the darned TV - watch something apolitical- but then I would know none of this nonsense.
What amazes me is how this bunch will not conceed that they lost. Unfortunately it seems as though the left will continue to act this way. Some stuff I read this morning scared me.....the thought police are out there and we are being judged by others who want to take their version of morality and shove it down our throats. Yes Meg, they are coming out with new nonsense every day. The intent of that is to scare us so that they can get what they want.

Also I wonder why some of the Obama administration are still holding government jobs when they should have been replaced by the Trump appointees. Of course they are also being paid by the government.
Ginny, you are right turn off the TV which I do.
