Your eTools streaks are truly impressive!!
If I had to predict a first tweak WW might make to the Lifetime, it would be with the vouchers. For example, making them only valid to the end of the next month following the issue date instead of 8 weeks.
Again.....just my personal speculation. Nor meaning to create a rumor. I KNOW NOTHING

Denise, we're all in that same boat on these boards, "I KNOW NOTHING" but we all like to speculate. I've thought also about cutting back on the length of the vouchers. I'm not sure Life timers really affect their bottom line that much. After all, if we all had to start paying, would that add a lot? Or, would most of us just quit and try it on our own? I wish we knew the numbers of how many life timers they have coming to meetings.

linda72 there are quite a few free lifetime members in the meetings I go to and they (we) come regularly. We tend to gravitate to each other. If I were to take a stab at it, 8-10, and that's in a meeting in the mid 40's.

littlepioneerwoman , linda72 , luanne , bbbearsmom, count me in. Free etools until May 2025. The challenge of adding another 8 weeks each month keeps me going. Even though I didn't use free etools for a few years and may stop doing so again.

They are very adamant here to not give free eTools to LTMs. A lot of people have already asked for a bigger reduction in the price for LTM access to Connect/eTools (it is currently $30 a month to access for LTMs and members would be happy enough to pay, say $10), but WW won’t budge. Many Aussies want to make Oprah aware, as if she has any say in it. Yep, they do want us to pay forever....or leave, regain, and start paying again.

Jennifer, we also average about 8 LT members at our meetings which have about 40 total members weekly. Many of the LT members purchase foods sold at the meetings so I guess they do contribute financially to WW. susan092907, free etools is a big motivator for me too. Congrats on having free etools until 2025. That's awesome! chook, hearing that Aussies do NOT have free etools shows me that WW doesn't want to start that down under so there must be quite a few Americans that have that. Funny that some there think Oprah could change that policy.

chook, hearing that Aussies do NOT have free etools shows me that WW doesn't want to start that down under so there must be quite a few Americans that have that. Funny that some there think Oprah could change that policy. I think we'd have to know more about ownership and management of WW in foreign countries before vilifying WW because I think, like some areas of the US, some countries are run under franchise from WW; that means that they are independent businesses with contractual obligations that define some of how they operate but not every single aspect of how they operate. As for free eTools for LT, that decision was made when Kirchoff was CEO and it was in response to long-time complaints from LT members that they shouldn't have to pay for tools access; and, given that things have become more and more tools-centric, the decision made sense. But I also think that the free eTools for LT came at a time when the company was on the downswing financially and doing something to stem losses of LT members who were paying for eTools may have been seen as a necessity. Yesterday WW released their financial reports for the fiscal year ending June 30. All of the numbers are up significantly. In addition they held a teleconference for analysts yesterday afternoon and a transcript of that can be found online. During the conference call, Minday Grossman mentioned a coming rewards program as well as technology changes coming before January. So changes will continue. Actually I'm good until 2/7/2025. That is over seven years from now. Where will all of us and Weight Watchers be? It seems like a long time but I joined the old WW boards in June of 2006 so it has been 12 years thus far.
Yesterday the leader was talking about the build a habit topic and she wanted us to rate July on a "scale" of one to ten. The woman next to me and I gave her a hard time and told her we were beyond the scale. Luckily she is a good sport. Brought up my issue about not being able to get a grip on cutting back my zero-point foods since they don't have numerical data attached to them. One point she made was the new program was set up so people currently doing WW could continue to eat in the same manner and continue to lose or maintain depending on which they were doing. My problem was I was already having an upswing and hadn't been tracking and the obvious upswing since March was when I again stopped tracking so I really didn't/don't at this point either know what is going to work with the mood my body is in.
Sticking with the calorie counting for a while, need the numerical data.

One point she made was the new program was set up so people currently doing WW could continue to eat in the same manner and continue to lose or maintain depending on which they were doing. That wasn't true for me. As I posted in the other thread, eating just as I ate to lose over 60 pounds and get and stay at goal for over 2 years was not possible under Freestyle unless I was willing to eat significantly above the recommended points. I track all my food on MFP so I can go back and try using Freestyle a week from when I was losing weight and can see how many points it is. I did that for a random month when I lost 2 pounds and ate "typically" to how I usually ate. I was significantly higher than my losing mode points. Obviously if someone keeps eating as they ate when they were losing or maintaining they will continue to lose or maintain*....but you can't necessarily to do that be within the points that you are getting on Freestyle. *This is only to a point. If I continued to eat what I ate when weighed 205 pounds and was losing there would come a time when I would maintain on that diet and could come a time when I would gain on that died. When I weighed 205 pounds I burned a lot more calories per day than I burn now because my body then was larger and needed to more fuel. If I lose weight I will ultimately need to eat fewer calories to continue losing....

Judy What I am doing is tracking Points Plus on itrackbites and double tracking with calories on My Fitness Pal.Would it help you to track your food on MFP first and then track that same food in an older with PP or SP and see where you are until you get a handle on which foods you need to be replaced? It's helping me to keep my calories under control and the macro's as well as staying OP on PP b/c none of the protein has 0 points.I know it's a lot of work double tracking but right now it's working for me since freestyle didn't work for me.

Judy ( bbbearsmom), saying that any of the major program changes were designed so that current members could keep eating as they were and lose weight is leader-invented poppycock; otherwise, WW would have put this message out there at the time of rollout. I hate how so many WW employees seem to feel the need and the empowerment to invent excuses for issues with the program(s) when they are raised by members. PointsPlus, initially, was known as the "have your cake and eat it, too" because it was possible to fit in bread, English muffins, and rolls of various types (white, wheat, raisin). Those same breads that contain any significant sugar or things like dried fruits get assed the points penalty for the sugar. So domeone who routinely ate those foods under PointsPlus could NOT just switch to SmartPoints, either pre- or post-Freestyle, and keep on keeping on. bbbearsmom, the only reason I double track is because I am able to write and maintain my own software applications to figure out the points. If I had to rely on calorie-counting apps or web sites, I would NOT be bothering to double-track points. Both points and NI are expressions of the calories in foods; points are now distorted and less accurate than calories, so calories are what I track and pay attention to. I will say that when my menu closely follows the old GHGs, then the FS SPs stay within the Blue Dot zone. However, I am not willing to deprive myself of basic foods that I enjoy since I don't eat much seafood and am unwilling to live a life of beans and Chicken/Turkey breast in order to save points.

zazzles, borntexan, I am tracking calories on MFP now to see where I settle when I feel I've stopped gaining. Haven't decided if I'll try to lose yet. Once my calories are settled and I have experience coming up with days that fit my calories I might try tracking on my value diary PP app to see how many points I get on that. Right now I'm interested in my macros on MFP. I didn't expect any real help from my leader and I didn't want to get into too big of a discussion. I don't care what WW says not having a measurement on zero-point foods doesn't work for me I don't care what they say at the corporate level. I pretty much eat the same things every day so once I get settled in a routine I might be able to go back to Free Style I will just have to not do any portion creep on the zero-point foods. These last 12 years when people said that such-and-such a program didn't work for them I often thought "sure, sure." Now it has happened to me.

bbbearsmom I am seriously thinking of only tracking on MFP also.I have never lost much weight counting calories before and I really don't want to lose much but I would like to be able to maintain using that.I know I won't be doing FS again.I have given it a good try twice and it's not for me.I may go back to PP or SP at some time but I doubt seriously I could do freestyle with any real degree of success. I hope you get the answers you need with your macros.

The most I ever lost was by combining calorie counting and a massive amount of exercise. Lots of fruits and veggies, clean food. Wondering why I can't do it now and mad at myself for being so lame.
