I’m in uncomputerized franchise land here (AZ), so I THINK you are all saying that when you weigh in it generates a sticker with your weight that gets placed in your booklet? And then you see that weight also populated in your app?
At our center, we don’t see the total on the scale and the receptionist writes it in by hand. So I don’t see that changing.
Unless WW requires the franchise to computerize, I guess we remain barefoot and low tech. Actually doesn’t sound too bad.
Can’t speak to the bravo stickers as I’m LT and haven’t sat in on a meeting for awhile. May need to do that for August WI just to see if there are any other changes.

The downside of franchises has always been that they can charge more for membership and attendance. The upside is that they don't have to march in lock-step with corporate. So you are right that you probably won't see much, if any, change. The labels we're referring to are printed by Dymo label printers attached to each computer. As I use one of these printers to print labels at home for various things, I know the labels aren't cheap; however, WW probably exacts a huge discount from Dymo and it probably is a trivial expense. And the labels contained not just the weight at the weigh-in, but the +/- number AND the member's daily and weekly points targets. The leader this morning read the official info she was given, and it talked about the daily points targets on the labels being problemmatic due to things like nursing moms, etc. I wanted to—but didn't—comment, "So, in other words, WW still can't get it's tech shit together to have a system that's accurate. That inspires soooooo much confidence."

Kitty, lmenglish, just wanted to let both of you know the reason your weight no longer automatically transfers to your WWer account online is because you are Lifetime at goal. When I was still working for WWers I mentioned this to one of the other receptionists and she told me how to "fix" it. I did it for myself, and for my dh and now my weights automatically populate. It's not something you can do yourself, someone at a meeting has to do it for you. And I don't think all staff even know about this or how to correct it. I'm not even sure if I remember all of the steps. I know that whoever weighs you has to go into your account, not just to the weigh in screen. They need to enter your email or account name to "find" you, then they can "Link" you again. Personally I don't care about the Bravos. If I got them I usually threw them away, but I know a lot of people did like getting them. Not sure yet how I feel about not getting the weight sticker. I do use online to track, so I have my points there.

luanne , I took that information you just gave to my receptionist and she was able to link my accounts and then the weigh-ins started appearing again. Not that it matters nows if they are just going to write in the number in our booklet. I suspect the booklets will be the next thing to be dropped. ETA: I did this 2 or 3 years ago. I assume the information is the same today.

I decided if they can't bother to give me something that benefits me by pasting that silly sticker in the booklet, then I can't be bothered to carry the thing around with me. They can look me up and do the weigh in. In fact, I may simply refuse to weigh in except at the 1st meeting every month. I weigh daily on a scale that records my weight in an app, so I don't really need their weigh-ins to know how I'm doing.

There are probably a hundred members in my meeting. Could you imagine what the lines will be like if the receptionist's have to write everybody's weight in and calculate the loss or gain. As it is the line runs for the first half hour of the meeting.

vicki, how long are your meetings? Mine average 30 min., sometimes 40 if we get to yakking a lot. We used to have around 50 members in a meeting but over this summer, the number has dropped to around 25. I'll be interested to see if it picks up in the fall when school starts.

zazzles, thanks for the report! And thanks for the info on Headspace. I never would have noticed it on the app because I just use it to track my food and that's it. I try to meditate off and on and have a few apps but I'll check out what WW has. Speaking of the app, today I looked at connect and the first trending post was a picture of someone's mom in hospice. Oy, that's why I hardly ever look at it. I haven't been to a meeting in years but I always liked the weigh in books. When I first started they wrote your weight in the book and there were many times when the receptionist did the math wrong so you never really knew. I thought those weight stickers with points was a big improvement!

I was waiting for this topic to pop-up. I got the official E-mail sometime last week and I was just waiting to see what everyone thought so I could not be accused of giving away company secrets. As far as I know all stickers are going away and the paper towels have not come back yet. Right now the charms will continue only for weight, because they have made so many of them. There will be no more "challenge charms", Like the little sun for the summer. This is a push for everyone to use the app more. I haven't heard anything about MSS going away- but I would not be surprised at all. I really do not like the direction the company is going in. I need to get back to goal weight so I can be free and then I think I will quit working for them. Probably after I get the scoop on any changes in January This "branding" thing is just going too far. I totally agree with what was said about Deb and Rad keeping Jean N's idea of true community here. Thank you!

Could you imagine what the lines will be like if the receptionist's have to write everybody's weight in and calculate the loss or gain I work at a "traveler location" (meetings in churches, etc) and although the computer calculates weight, we have to write it down. Yes, the lines can get very long.

As it is the line runs for the first half hour of the meeting. I would imagine the computer is still calculating the loss/gain. You're just not getting the sticker with the information. Rather than having the staff write it down for you it sounds like you may be expected to do it yourself.

Those that don't have their weight on their computer or app it is probably because your two accounts aren't synched. Had this discussion with my leader this afternoon. She said someone would synch my account at the meeting tomorrow. We'll see.

This is the information I saved from 2014 about linking 2 accounts. I think Luanne gave us that information then. Thanks, luanne,! "Linking WW accounts To the best of my memory, it can only be done in the WWer center. The staff person has to go into the member information, not just the weigh in screen. There is a tab there to "Link". They will need the members email address in order to find them, then they can link them. "

We haven’t had weigh-in stickers for years (at least a decade if not longer). We never got much in terms of other charms or fridge magnets, but lately we have been losing more and more of these little trinkets and incentives.
We’ve had to weigh in wearing footwear for about the same time (ppl bring flip flops or the type of very thin slippers you can sometimes get in planes). Never offered paper towels.
We’ve never had a lot of charms for achievements (only a key chain for reaching 10% loss, a charm to put on it for goal weight, and another charm for LTM). Major achievements (25kg, 50kg etc.) earn a paper certificate (and a boring, fill in the blank name one at that!).
When SmartPoints first came out we got a charm in the shape of a sneaker for 10% loss, presented in a lovely box....but they have recently been discontinued altogether.
Also discontinued here are the hand-held points calculators (essentially making you a slave to the app).
The only thing left to take away is the scale itself.
