Hello! cj59, you could always try to make little changes and see how that goes. sunrose49 - I hope you are able to get everything done DotRen - I liked Momentum a lot when I did it (circa 2009), but I ended up being hungry all of the time. I really didn't change how I ate; I just ate less. I stepped on the scale today and was disappointed that I seem to have gained a bit more. I am trying hard not to let it bother me, but it's hard. We have two birthdays in the family this week, so I expect that I will have a couple of higher than usual calorie days this week and will likely see another gain before the week is out. Trying to tell myself that's normal in a week with two events. Tonight I'm going to the gym, so I'm happy about that.

Hello Everyone
sunrose - I'm sorry to hear your are losing your drive for the new plan. Hope you can get it back, or find something else to work for you.
DotRen - I used Momentum to lose all my weight. I just found it difficult to work maintenance on that plan, although I think it was more my fault for eating too many high calorie foods and overeating. I think it is a good plan for losing weight, because you can eat anything! I'm glad you are finding a way to work a plan for you.
wwlurker - Sorry to hear about the scale disappointment, I can you can work through it. It's difficult to deal with birthdays and other special events, but I'm sure you'll do your best. Good for you going to the gym!
I'm doing pretty well, even though I haven't been able to lose any weight. I know it' better than eating out of control and gaining weight. I went back to just counting points this week, instead of double counting calories. I was getting obsessed with the calories each day
My knee is better, but I've cut back on my daily steps, so I'm sure that doesn't help, but I'll just keep going and hope for a good turnout overall.
Hope anyone else checking in is doing well on their plans.

Good morning! cj59 , glad your knee is better. Just remember any movement is better than none I'm considering making this recipe for meal prep next week, but just 1/2 the recipe since my son (JD) doesn't like tuna much lol. He loves salmon (not canned), steelhead trout and tilapia, but that's about it. Oh and shrimp- I think he can eat 10 pounds by himself lol. DH (Ron) doesn't like any fish other than tuna salad and shrimp, unless it's battered and fried eatingwell one pot pasta with tuna

Hello Everyone - Hope you are enjoying your weekend DotRen - that recipe looks interesting, hope you enjoy it if you make it. I love to make bread. Last year I got caught up in the no-knead bread recipes and was trying all sorts of things. I've found a few that I like and sometimes I half the recipe so I can till have some homemade bread, but not have too much of it in the house. I overate yesterday, but I had planned to do it. So I'm done with that and back on track today. I'm hoping I can keep in this mode since I've been having some feelings of failure. Last year at this time I was 20 pounds lighter and it's been really frustrating to gain back the weight when I felt like I finally had a "handle" on keeping it off. It just seems like I had those few short months where I felt like I was out a normal weight and now I'm back up again. I really have to fight the feelings inside that are telling me I'll never be at a normal weight again so why bother with "dieting". I know that's not true and keeping any weight off is better for my health. It just would have been nice to at least have a year at a normal weight

Making: zucchini stuffed w/ground chicken breast and hot italian sausage seasoning, topped w/marinara and mozzarella (just the mozzarella has points, everything else is zero and this comes out to 300 calories total using 1oz real mozzarella - will probably be my lunch meal prep for the next few days); salad
I may do breakfast/brunch egg muffins with eggs, light feta, kalamata olives, spinach and sun dried tomatoes as well - I love these as brunch!

It turned out really good! I think the next time I will grind like 1 chicken thigh to 3 breasts, so it has a little fat content. It turned out pretty tough lol.

Good morning!
This weekend I kept very busy with a quick trip to the US for groceries and fabric. Sunday I spent the day deep cleaning my bedroom and hallway/alcove upstairs. It's incredible the amount of dust that piles up. Plus, I had an entire garbage back of junk and another one of donations. I hate how clutter piles up. I have a small house, with only 10 rooms, so I figure that if I deep clean one room per week, then each one will get done 5 times a year. That's doable.
I didn't track yesterday but I did it this morning. I just didn't feel like it yesterday. I'm ok with not tracking every single day. I think that sometimes you need a break. But I do think that it's important to keep a general eye on what I'm eating so that I'm aware of how different foods make me feel.
Because of the two birthdays last week and how busy we were, my eating was a little off-routine and I didn't get in as many fruits and veggies as I normally do. This week I'm going to try to work on getting those back in.
Hope everyone is doing well.

My son had a fender bender last night. A driver made a left turn in front of him at an intersection. He's fine (thank God), his car has some minor damage but it's mechanically ok to drive. State Farm is already on it recommending body shops, etc.
I, on the other hand, was up sick all night and have the remnants of a migraine.

Hello Everyone - Hope you are all doing well today DotRen - I'm glad your son is alright, I'm sure that was scary for you. Driving is just so dangerous, so many people are distracted or don't care about following the rules of the road. I hope you start feeling better soon. I have migraines too sometimes and I know how bad they make us feel. wwlurker - I'm glad you are working a program that sounds good for you. I have issues with food like I remember you mentioned you did at one point, and I've realized how much work it takes to try to deal with food in a normal way. We just have to keep at it and find things that work for us. sunrose - Hope you had a good time with your friend. I'm doing pretty well. I've been on track 3 days in a row and I want to stick it out through this coming Sunday, because I'll have some challenges next week. I'm glad I was able to get back on plan after just one day off. I hope I can keep doing that, and not go crazy for a whole month like I did this summer.

Thanks CJ He's fine, wasn't even sore yesterday from tensing up. We're dropping his car off this morning for repairs. Although it seems to be just body work/cosmetic, they're going to check everything out to make sure there was no mechanical damage. Thank goodness we keep full coverage on all 3 cars, even though his is 13 years old lol. Things like this make it totally worth the cost since it will only cost him $250 instead of possibly thousands. I ended up having some broth and toast around 6pm yesterday. I had such an anxiety attack it triggered a migraine, and my migraines include a very upset stomach. Usually I can keep down some herbal tea like sleepy time that has camomile and mint, but not even that yesterday. So I guess I can say I fasted 24 hours lol. urgh

Hi everyone! sunrose49, welcome back! DotRen, I'm big on having lots of coverage too. I know that in the US, liability limits are often way less than in Canada. We have minimum $200,000 limits and I always purchase much more than that. cj59, I totally still have food issues; I just try to balance them with a healthy dose of what I intellectually know but have a hard time accepting - that restriction and diet culture are to blame for a large part of my issues. I keep hoping to lose weight and I keep tracking. I'm just not there yet in terms of giving up on dieting altogether.
