Just wondering. Did anyone really think Kavanaugh was going to write "Get drunk and sexually assault a girl" on his calendar planner? That's just laughable.

WHY does one keep a calendar for 36 years in the first place! There is something really off about this Kavanaugh. When the whole truth comes out about this guy, & it will, it will be too darn late!
I really have tried to like Nikki Haley, but her constant gushing of JA just irks me to no end. Her comment about JA speech yesterday, that it was so great & funny & all the world leaders could hardly wait to meet & have their pictures taken with him. No, they were laughing at JA because he was bragging about himself & they have now found out exactly what an idiot he is.

Yes, I've been very disappointed by Nikki Haley too. I was hopeful when she was chosen for the UN ambassadorship that she would have integrity. But clearly she's just like the rest of the entourage surrounding the JA. Ready to suck up to the devil if it gives her some fame and opens some lucrative doors for her. There is absolutely no one in this entire administration that even has any self-respect much less respect for the country. If the American people don't rise up and stop this, but instead allow this to go on unchecked, then we deserve exactly what we get. We are in a downward spiral, and the mid-terms will hopefully show us whether or not that spiral is completely out of control.

WHY does one keep a calendar for 36 years in the first place! There is something really off about this Kavanaugh. When the whole truth comes out about this guy, & it will, it will be too darn late! Now his college roommate is coming out with a statement about his excessive drinking and what an ugly, mean drunk he was. He says that what Dr. Ford says happened in high school is completely within character of what he knew of Kavanaugh when he would get drunk in college. I think there are some very dark, deep secrets in Kavanaugh's past, and that's the reason that he doesn't want the FBI probing into those years. I could probably accept that when he was young he made some terrible drunken mistakes, if he admitted them, said he now recognizes how wrong they were and he deeply regrets them. That he has tried to rise above them. But instead he just keeps trying to keep his past hidden. Which tells us that he has no respect for the sanctity of an oath to tell the truth. No respect for women. No respect for the law. The old adage is that it's the cover-up that usually always brings you down in the end. Well, the cover-up may not bring Kavanaugh down because he very likely is going to go on the SC no matter what. But eventually I agree that at least a portion of the truth will come out for all to see. It may not bring Kavanaugh down, but it may very well bring down a few of those smug, self-righteous Republican senators. I hope it starts with Lindsey Graham, Chuck Grassley, and Orrin Hatch.

I hope that the Democrats ask Kavanaugh about the Rennati Alumni picture in his yearbook. Is he that much of an "altar boy" he didn't realize what that picture was all about?!?! Did he think it was just a picture of a group of his friends getting together. Give me a break!...
Tucker Carlson, another great thinker...(typed sarcastically) says women that are raped or assaulted & don't come forward are part of the problem and put the rest in danger. OMG!...Does he have a wife, does he have daughters, and what kind of Mother raises kids like Tucker!...

3 more Yale students who originally supported Kavanaug have now turned on him, also. But, really, I think it too late to save the SC seat from Kavanaugh. If Merkowski doesn't turn, I think the seat is lost. Collins, is another who talks out of both sides of her mouth, so I do think she will vote party line. Merowski seems like the last chance. Corker & Flake, talk big but when push comes to shove, they cave. Bunch of cowards!

I have mentioned it before, but I truly wonder how many Juvenile Records are sealed & buried deep concerning Kavanaugh & friends. From the reports about went on with Kavanugh, his friends, & this boys school, I just wonder if someone ever reported an assault & being they were juveniles, had influential, rich parents, etc. the charges were dismissed or buried. Did the school never reprimand them for the drinking, etc. ...

Honestly, it would have been better for him if he'd said "I don't remember, I was drunk" rather than trying to come across like Mother Theresa.

As for the juvenile records, that's definitely a possibility but we'll never know. All along I have thought where were the parents during this time? Did they know about all this drinking going on at parties? I mean really, how did parents not attempt to stop this kind of behavior EVEN if what Dr Ford is saying didn't happen. The fact that there was a LOT of drinking going on among high school students has been verified. I'm sure there were things that went on when my DD was a teenager that I didn't know about, but I can't imagine if parties like this were a standard that I wouldn't have known. So the scenario Linda raises about things that went on and were swept under the rug because parents were wealthy and too busy with their own lives to pay attention to their children's other than to keep any scandals covered up is a real possibility. Kavanaugh may or may not be guilty of this, but I definitely believe he's got some deep secrets buried that he doesn't want to take any chances on coming out. Otherwise, he'd call for an investigation himself instead of trying to throw us off with tales of how old he was before he had sex (who the heck cares and it has nothing to do with this case!), and showing us his anally retentive calendars which in and of themselves make him look like a doofus. Really! How could a calendar possibly shed light on this situation? Instead the fact that he thought his calendars from high school were important enough to keep all these years makes him sound like some sort of narcissist. So he and the JA make a good pair.

I agree Linda that Corker, Flake, and Collins can not be counted on to do anything other than vote the party line. Is Murkowski strong enough to stand alone? We'll see.

America has gone down the rabbit hole ever since You-Know-Who was elected. I feel like a punch-drunk fighter just trying to keep up with it all.

I keep wondering if there's ever a point where we stand up and say "this is a bridge too far." We won't go there. We heard the JA in his own words degrading women and bragging about his sexual conquests, and yet his base closed their eyes, covered their ears, vilified his accusers, and put him in the WH. Clinton paid a price for his disgusting behavior, although perhaps not high enough of a price. Al Franken just made a disgusting photo, yet he had to leave the Senate. But the JA base was willing to defend a pedophile with Roy Moore, and while he wasn't elected he came close so for a lot of Republicans even pedophilia wasn't a bridge too far. Now we have multiple women coming out to accuse Kavanaugh of sexual assault and possibly even worse. We don't know for sure that he's guilty, but clearly even if he is that's not a bridge too far because Republicans aren't willing to even investigate the charges. And they never will. It will go on in perpetuity getting worse and worse unless women across the country stand up and say that's enough. We're not going to be slut shamed and put into the corner anymore. If an allegation is made, we expect it to be thoroughly investigated. All these Republicans who say this is all just a "big Democrat conspiracy", well, if you investigate these charges thoroughly then that would come to light. But instead it's the same old boys club. What women say, what women experience really doesn't matter. Who cares what the truth is anyway? It's just all part of boys being boys and locker room talk. Wink! Wink! How dare women complain?

In 2018, when women come forward with any type of sexual accusation, & they still are not believed like they weren't in generations past, its no wonder we can't cross that bridge too far to rectify this problem. Why has there NEVER been a woman on the Judicial Committee?...Because these old white men in the Senate still believe women are second class citizens who do not deserved to be in a position of power. Just stand behind your man & shut the heck up!.....UGH!
Lindsey Grahm's tweet today attacking Avanti because he was a lawyer for "porn stars"...Guess porn stars aren't really women worth much or deserved to have the same rights as others. What a demeaning statement from Graham. Shouldn't be a surprise I guess.
I've used the F words so many times today, I shall surely burn in hell for ever & ever & ever. If I was still a practicing Catholic I should probably be confessing my sins & saying penance, but since I'm not I guess its just burn burn burn...:-(

Thanks for the smile, Linda! I had to laugh at "burn, burn, burn" I think we all know how you feel. I just saw a meme on FB that made me smile too -- "Not to brag or anything, but I was laughing at Donald Trump long before the UN decided to do it." It's good to find something to smile about even in the midst of the mind boggling insanity going on all around us. Lindsey Graham is voicing what everyone of them feel. None of us consider being a porn star exactly a noble profession or something to be proud of, but she deserves just as much respect and consideration under the law as Lindsey Graham does. Maybe she's really even of better character than Lindsey Graham. At least she doesn't pretend to be something she's not, so certainly she's not as big a hypocrite as he is. When she _____ for money she's up front about it. When Graham _____ the whole country he tries to smile and make us think he's doing it for our own good.
