Suze, that recipe you posted is very similar to one that I shared on my FB page. I am altering it to where I bought canned chicken and will use the recipe as is except for that and cook it in a pot on the stove instead of a crockpot. Too impatient for that.
From what I have heard parts of the outlying areas of Corpus have had their water restored, but still...

Mary,I heard that about Corpus too but don't know if I would trust the water yet.
Sandy,Such a cute pic of Katy and her dad.She just keeps getting prettier and more grown up.I'm glad you enjoyed your w/o.I think losing the weight on your own is better b/c all the complications and some people still end up gaining it all back. That is scary isn't it with the dizziness.Yours must have been really been bad with the rapid heartbeat.I'm glad they found out what was wrong.I was surprised the NP didn't just reduce my meds instead of taking me off them completely but at least it's another pill I don't have to take and pay for.

I think it was 2 years ago in January that our water supply was contaminated......for 3 WEEKS! We weren't supposed to bathe in it or use it. We just heated up gallon jugs of water and took sink baths. We were lucky at my house because they flushed the lines where I lived a lot earlier than most places. Our water was ok after about 5 days. But most of the area was without water for nearly a month. Then people still didn't trust it once they said it was ok. I believe there are STILL people who buy bottled water for cooking/drinking.
Becky- I ordered the pens from Things Remembered. They do lots of personalized things.
CELESTE- I KNOW I would lose a nice pen. But my sister wants to write the great American novel someday, so she will probably be more responsible with it than I would be.
SUZE- siding sounds exciting! It makes SUCH a difference in the look of a place. I still want to put it on the rental house. (Along with some insulation and new windows.) Not sure when I'm going to fall into the pile of money that will let me do it, tho.......

Forgot to log in, so was a guest on that last post..hee hee!
LOUISE- Hope you are well rested and that the patient is doing well.
MARY- Good to see you. I have been picturing you spending your snow days putting golf balls into drinking glasses.......
STEPH- hope you get to stop for a breath of air soon. You have been one BUSY elf!
SANDY- I'm wondering how many peanut patties you make in a year? Surely you are the queen of peanut patties!
Did you know Santa only used 8 reindeer last year? Comet stayed home to clean the sink.

The mystery party was fun. I mean the mystery part of the party was pretty pointless and silly, but it was still nice to see everyone and it did get people to mingle. There were 138 people. Afterwards we walked Petey then walked over to neighbors for drinks. And drinks. AND DRINKS. I am a bit hungover at the moment. Queasy and mild headache. I'm hydrating. I haven't been hungover in FOREVER. And don't plan to be so again in like FOREVER.
SANDY amen about getting in gear and sticking to a diet At this point ANY DIET! I don't care if it's nuitrisystem, Jenny, WW, Atkins, So Beach or what. I've also been kind of bad about not staying on Paleo very well w/ all the holiday goodies around.
BECKY I do think it's pretty awful that your NP hadn't addressed your BP meds BEFORE you passed out. That could have been very bad. You could have fallen and broken something. Or you could have been out and about. Kind of neglectful on her part. I mean you're HALF the person you were so how could you have the same BP issues AND need the same dose? Anyway I hope this takes care of your light headedness.
CONNIE I got my son in law a Mont Blanc. He loves writing w/ a good pen. When i gave it to him he told me he had fond memories of his grandfather using one and always wanted one. i'm sure he'll take good care of it. I'm just too irresponsible. GROANNNNING about Comet.
Wow Louise. Were these other 2 procedures expected? Here's sending positive thoughts her way.
We're supposed to go to friends house for an ice cream social but not if I feel like crap still. Going to watch The 3rd episode of The Man in the High Castle. B/c we can't get our dang cable to work AGAIN.

MARY that recipe could very well have been the one from your page...I saw it on FB. Getting mine going shortly.
SANDY i just came in from walking with Lu..it was warm so I put a tshirt on. Within 5 minutes the wind had shifted and temp dropped enough that I could have used a jacket. The wonk is picking up out there.
CELESTE glad you had a nice time. Did you end up going matchy-matchy?
Yuck yuck on an absent Comet!
LOUISE continued best wishes for Dd. I hope everything is ok.
BECKY glad you got your BP checked out. Good move.
CONNIE i AM excited about the siding because I know how much it will change the look of my little house. Currently its poorly painted wood lap siding. Can't wait for the weather to cooperate so it can be done.
Putting my chicken on and then i think a little nap is in order. I have a load of clothes in and will work on paperwork this afternoon.

Autumn had a swim meet this morning. She had a great day, dropping time in all four events.
Had school dance last night. The boy's school came over (same neighborhood divided our school & another into single gender...we have to mingle at times). One of my students locked herself in a restroom stall and REFUSED to come out. 2 administrators, 1 counselor, 1 police officer and me....she would not budge. Thank God the one administrator left. She kept telling me to leave and I finally snapped at her and told I wasn't going anywhere. Fast forward 30 minutes later and we were in my classroom talking with her. She came out when we let one of her friends talk to her. About 10 minutes after we went into my classroom, the police officer came in to talk with her. She refused to tell anyone what happened, but I got the story from one of my other studenst, also a friend of hers. Middle school drama over a boy. She also threatened to harm herself and because there is some previous & ongoing psychosis, we took it serious. Anyway, I left the school physically and mentally drained. Called my co-teacher to discuss future of student traveling with us to Dallas & FL and with what happened last night, there is no way I'm taking her out of town, much less out of state....and that's IF she were to make it past round 1 of competition. The next 2 levels of competition are so stressful, she'd break down. When I travel out of state, I'm usually by myself w/ the girls.
So, I'm still exhausted and going to take a nap. Will catch up with everyone soon. Hope you're enjoying the day.

CELESTE I tried to do my ELFG at McDonald’s this morning… I was so excited, but when I tried to pay for the car behind me, I was told it was already taken care of. It was a campus UPD officer. Dang.
So my ELFG today was to take Robbie shopping and then stop at DQ with her and chat. She just needed some time away from home.
Good for Autumn! Oh STEPH what a night! I can certainly understand how you are exhausted and I agree on your caution in taking her out of state. You have to take those threats seriously and at that age…. I hope your day today is restful and without drama of any kind.
Bacon cooked , crock pot chicken and dumplings cooking, kitchen cleaned up, laundry done and a case and screen protector installed on phone. And, I still have not taken that nap!
