Hubby had his surgery and came through just fine.. not sure how long he'll be in the hospital..
I've had a super bad headache all day long.. still have it tonight.. think it might be a migraine because my eye is also tearing terribly.. Dog is wondering where mac is.. didn't want his treats tonight.. Hope he doesn't get sick.. He gets sick when I'm gong for a whole day..
Going to bed.. maybe the headache will go away.

Good Morning Cat and LTMs,
Today it was 50º and going up to 53º and cloudy with 1” of rain expected and wind N 10 to 15 mph. Localized flooding is possible. We are in a flood watch until 7:00 AM Wednesday.
The only person scheduled to come today is the occupational therapist and she will be here in the morning. It looks like this will be my last week of having the therapists coming since they are all satisfied with my progress.
Yesterday the speech therapist came, and the rest of the day was quiet. I spent some time in my comfortable chair napping and reading another mystery on my Kindle.
MAXINE CALENDAR: Tue 10/9: It’s National Fire Prevention Day! I’m doing my part by not cook
PEANUTS CALENDAR: Tue 10/9: THE DAILY EXTRA: Just a word search puzzle today.
(from yesterday) How many common words of four letters or more can you make from the letters in the following word? (You may use each letter only once.) PUMPKINS
Some answers to the Wednesday puzzle are: skimp, pumps, punks, spunk, minks, pimps, pinks, musk, pimp, pink, pinups, kips, mink, pump, skim, punk, skip, pinup inks, imps, kins, sump, sunk, skin, umps, pups, pips, mips, simp, sink, minus, munis, spun, pins, puns, nips, muns, muni, snip, spin, nims)

Fred's golfing this morning and then Costco and then at 4:30 meeting Debbie to look at another duplex she's interested in and is in a neighborhood she loves! Since it's owned by Caterpillar we hope they might be willing to negotiate the price with her as from the pictures she said it has everything she wants but we know from her experience with a house she was interested in pictures aren't everything!
We're learning living with a kitten is much different than a dog! Twice he has hit our power strip and turned off the tv! So now I have it under the tv stand so he can't get to it but I have tons of scratches from him using my arm and leg as a ladder. But Bailey and Bridgette do play with him although at times I think Bailey is too rough as she flips him and he goes flying and then comes right back to bat her in the face.
As for tattoos I have no interest in getting one. My younger sister has one but one of her daughters is covered in them and learned it's not wise to have a person's name on you when she got divorced as she then had to have something tattooed over it.

Good morning!
No, no tattoos for me.
I got my new Kindle! It is bigger than my old one, so I have ordered a new case for it. I have my book I am reading downloaded and enjoyed a quiet time of reading first thing this morning with my first cup of coffee. Ah, yes, I am happy today.
It is to be a bit cooler today -- high of 78º or so. I will be at home, and I think my main project for the day will be starting a new puzzle! Of course, I did cook breakfast, and I will fix lunch and dinner! I discovered that if I take my walker out first thing in the morning, I can unload the dishwasher with fewer steps. I know lots of you gals try to get more steps in! I have to be careful -- I seem able to do just so many steps at a time, before my legs say I have to sit down. I've been to the CMT support site, and that seems to be usual, so I don't worry about it. I think it is a matter of moderation for me. It's been hard to accept, since I remember when I walked four miles a day in addition to normal activities. Getting older is the very dickens!
Hope Debbie finds someplace she can be happy with for the price she wants to pay. Might take a while, but she'll find it!
Be happy today. Diane

Good morning, Awesome Friends!
Jenny, hope you wake with the headache GONE and that Doggie Boy feels a bit better as well. He will probably feel much less anxious when you, yourself, do.
No, I do not have a tatoo. They weren't in vogue when I was a teen, and I was older and wiser when they became popular. When DH was counseling at the Jr. High level, he was taught to look for tatoos and markings on kids arms, etc., that those signified abuse. Interesting thought, right?
So glad Debbie is finding some housing options. A duplex townhome sounds like a good choice for her and Maija.
It was so neat when I read that two of you would choose Missouri for the state to which you would move if you had a choice! Wow! After I thought about it a while, I remembered that I had always told Pat that I'd like to move to where she lived. The weather was so nice there -- in the 70s most days. I think she said she lived 65 miles north of San Francisco.
The scare with DH last week has me thinking about getting our "affairs" in order. Girls, that situation really put the fear into me, more emotionally; but I also thought about all the property, etc. I'm sure most of you can relate to that. We've been so busy taking care of our parents' "affairs" that we have neglected our own to a certain extent.
Okay. I'd better get busy. Be back later to see what's happening in your world! --Mollyann

An upper 70's day here and more rain and storms. Just got the alert on my phone that a severe one is on the way. Here comes the rain.
No tattoo here. Ear piercing was not even in in my youth. I was much older and got mine the same year my DD got hers. My paternal grandmother had pierced ears in her day but she had let them close. Now the body piercing and tattoos are CRAZY!
Jenny, I hope you and Doggy Boy are OK. How is hubby?
Molly, I went in a couple of weeks ago or so and took care of my funeral. Not the service. The kids can do it however they wish. I just have the funeral paid for so financially it is covered. Not long ago, less than a year ago, I did the enhanced deed, called Lady Bird Deed, where my kids will get the place but it is still mine to do as I please. They just won't have to go to probate court. It will be theirs at my death. The first thing I did after my hospital stay in 2015 was to make DD power of medical attorney and son power of attorney.
Yes, dogs can spell. I used to spell b-a-t-h because my Charlie Brown hated it. He loved it once he was in the tub, but.... I never spell to Bearly, but he even knows my mind it seems.
I can't remember what else I was going to say. So have a great day all. Coffee finished. LESS MOWING LUCY

A little info:
Why do we say it is raining cats and dogs?
The most common one says that in olden times, homes had thatched roofs in which domestic animals such as cats and dogs would like to hide. In heavy rain, the animals would either be washed out of the thatch, or rapidly abandon it for better shelter, so it would seem to be raining cats and dogs.

My affairs are all in order but do want to see my lawyer to ask a couple of questions of him. things change and want to be sure I have the best way for the girls. Pa has changed the Inheritance taxes here in Pa and want to be sure about that. No pre planned funeral for me. I don't want a funeral and my Mom had a lot prepaid for but so much had changed just in our family that I couldn't follow through with all her planning. since the casket was not available any more, Had been almost 50 years there were changes that had to be made anyway. the amount of money she had paid at that time was a lot for them and I know it helped it out when my Dad died. I am not going that route.
A tattoo. Well I honestly wished I had one, my DGD and I were going to get one together and it would have been a 2nd one for her and she chickened out. We were going for small one on ankles. My friends and I did fake ones in Punta Cana on our vacation there. Never thinking that the one on my thigh was a white spot from the tan and the fake one coming off after I got home. Never did even it up that summer at the pool. Was a funny joke on me, that the girls pointed out to everyone at the pool that summer.
My perm is nice and curly and will get my usual medium brown with darker lo lights that I get in the fall on Thursday. right now I am a brassy blonde, from perm and sun and summer. awful!!
Going to see Emma this afternoon and see if DGD needs any help with laundry etc. Sure not as her DH is home and he is a big help. Going to take them apples from the orchard just to eat but will bake them dumplings later in the week. Hoping one trip with me driving with DD#2 will help me be more confident with driving to DGDs house. If not will just beg for rides. Lot of my friends are not driving anymore at all. One friend just goes to grocery store and pharmacy on her own. I do lot better than that so know I can do this. Its not far just out in country and complicated until I learn it and my sense of direction is terrible when I don't know the area. So better do it more often. Have 6 weeks to be able to do this. Then DGD will be back to work.
The weathermen are promising a drop in temps and sure hope they are right. I want "real" fall weather. The tree across from me is a brilliant yellow right now and with the sun on it it looks like it lit up. It is a very big old maple. Mine are more orangy yellow and getting there also. These are all huge maples with huge trunks. Lot of different trees with lots of different fall colors but a little behind with all the colors. They will get there. 89° is just too hot for this time of year.
glad your DH did well Jenny but sorry you have a bad headache. hope better soon.
My DGS#2 and his SO are all scratched and dug up from their new kitten too,Sandy. She is feisty, not a lap sitter at all and attacks with a vengeance. So far not scratching on things but they did get her a scratching post first thing but she doesn't seem interested so the claws are sharp. She is climbing. So different from their laid back first kitty that got last year. Personalities are so different.
