Leave it to JA to make a lewd joke about Antonin Scalia's widow having had nine children. "You were very busy, wow. Wow." Followed by, "I always knew I liked him" referring to Scalia's prowess in the bedroom. Ugh. And this is the same guy asking for decorum at the ceremony.
luanne, It's so sad about your friends. I'm glad to hear they have a good support system with such a long road ahead. The whole thing is very distressing and JA's comments weren't helpful. Keep us posted on their progress.
The only real mistake is the one from which we learn nothing John Powell
Honestly this JA wouldn't know decorum if it slapped him in the face--guess it wouldn't be decorum then but you get the idea.
Oh, I don't know about that Joyce. You might be on to something. lol.
In the US today the meaning of all things are opposite or bizarre. Truth are lies and visa-versa. Same goes for real and fake. Many Christians preach hate instead of love. Small crowds at gatherings are reported as HUGE. Unqualified people including criminals are extremely qualified. The worst people on earth are considered good, etc.
So, who knows? Decorum could mean rude and offensive which means he'd like it and probably even ask for more.
I just found out that a dear friend here just passed away. She has cancer, so it wasn't totally a surprise, but we had lunch just about a month ago and she was upbeat as always. I'd like a do-over on this month already.
I'm glad to hear Michelle Obama speaking out with her new book, and she hit the nail on the head when she said that the primary difference between Barack Obama and this JA is that "Obama put country first; Trump puts himself first." That's so clear to the vast majority of the world that one would think it doesn't even need to be said, but for some reason there is that small contingent of deluded Trumpites out there who either do not see it, or see it and ignore it. This JA has got to go. We absolutely can not allow him to have a second term in office.
"You see, our glorious diversity—our diversity of faiths, and colors and creeds―that is not a threat to who we are, it makes us who we are." -- Michelle Obama
