Meg, I'm sorry you have fencing problems. Part of the fence in my backyard came down after a very wet spring and some strong winds. The problem I had was that until the bad sections were repaired and replaced every gust of wind threatened to take out more. M
We're going to have several days of warmer weather than normal ... into the low 40s.
The TV is on, and I feel a need to flee to a quiet space. In a short while hb will fall asleep with the remote in his hand. The surest way to wake him up is to turn off the TV. I will do something about setting up an area for myself without the background noise. Definitely a priority because this is making me grumpy. It's too bad this isn't a situation where two reasonable people can reason together and come up with a solution. Dementia, whether it's AD or another type, is a stealthy thief.
I'm starting on the last year of past due record keeping now. By Tuesday when I have an appointment with the CPA, I will be caught up.

Lets see how a bear with little brain can handle posting today.
Sue, some of us are “quiet” people, and I do believe that everyone, at one time or another needs quiet and some quality alone time. I am so sorry that the situation with your Dh is such that the sound of the TV is a comfort to him- but at the same time an irritant to you. Do you have a space, even a small nook, to which you can retreat? This might be a dumb thought, but what wakes him up, the removal of the remote from his hand or the lack of sound? (Could you turn down the TV manually using the buttons on the back?)
Phyl, a good chiropractor is a true blessing. Guess your visit to the see yours really helped, which I am very happy to hear.
CJ- that cake sounds easy and really good! Very versatile in that you can do anything you like with it and whip it up in a pinch. MY condolences on the various losses....some of which I am sure were a shock to you. It was very thoughtful of you to send cards... these days it seems as though many do not send cards for any occasion. Its a lovely caring touch for those who have suffered a loss.
Meg, hope that the fence can be fixed fairly and with your neighbor. Did your yarn arrive?
Ruth, hope that you do decide to get to Instacare- yes a muscle relaxant would sure help with the spasms- which can be very very uncomfortable.
Dh went to the doctor today- who added an antibiotic to his meds and cough medicine. I am tired, Changed how I am treating my stomach issues a bit with the hope that I can stabilize things a bit. Perhaps I will take a nap now.
Nice thing about being home so much is that I have been able to cut my fabric (that I picked up last Friday). Almost done making the strips so then I can start sewing. GInny

Sue, I know the need for a quiet time.Even when watching tv I put the sound off and if I'm actually watching it rather than just usuing it for company I use closed captioning.
Ginny, I hope you can get your gi issue straightened put.I'm having problems with mine also. What are you making with the strips you cut out? Is it still potholders or are you maing a quilt. I think you mentioned a quilt the other day but I forget what you said. My brain is not funcioning well I guess

Ruth, so sorry to hear that your GI is flaring up. I am onto making a quilt, one for our bed. The strips are for making blocks- the fabric is buggy barn basics (charm pack) and I am hoping to make a falling charm quilt (youtube has the directions). Cannot say I am much better today, but am a bit less drained. Will take this one day at a time. Ginny

Hello Crafters Just wanted to say hello to everyone I've been busy running errands and meeting with family who are moving out of town soon. It's been cold and windy here and we're supposed to get some snow this weekend. Ginny - I've made a Falling Charms quilt and it was very easy and is a pretty quilt, hope you enjoy yours. Ruth - I sit with the TV sound off a lot too, sometimes the noise just gets on my nerves Hope everyone else is doing well - take care!

Ginny, you probably have a very busy week ahead too so I do hope and pray that you feeling better soo.
CJ, yes a lot of noise seems to give me a case of serious sensory overload. And sometimes, even though i love my dd and am blessed to have him, sometimes I just feel like asking him to be quiet for awhile
Hubby was upstair making some split pea with ham soup so I went also to do the veggies cutting and peeling. He likes onions, carrots, and potatoes in split pea soup. My mother used to make it a lot but I don't think she ever put in potatoesl It's good that way though. The ham bone he ued didn't have much meat on it so he also browned up some smoked sausage and cut it up and put that in too
I found some pills I didn't remember having and they are a mucle relaxant but for smooth mucles and is used mostly for those with IBS so It wouldn't help my back spasms either but I also found some other pills that do have a muscle relaxant property and took some yesterday.I didn't help the spasms much but it does relax a person so did take care of the rest of my body's tenseness from the back painl Alsp makes you drowsy so after taking it the second time I was going to reast some and ended up falling asleep for the night

CJ- are you in for much snow? Sad when good neighbors and friends move away. Are they moving far? What color scheme was your falling charms quiit? You usually tend toward the pinks and purples if I am guessing correctly.
Went to the doctor who gave me an antibiotic- knowing how sick Dh got.
Got some sewing done.....1/4 of the charms have a border now.
A shame I am working tomorrow.... Hope to be in bed soon and resting up Ginny

I went to quilting this morning. One of my friends has found out that her breast cancer is back. She has started chemo after having problems with her insurance. I've known her for almost 25 years. She is the only one in the group who knows about the situation with my late husband and his bouts with colon cancer. Same oncologist.
The house where we met today is in a planned community of about 300 homes in an isolated area about ten miles west of town. I was surprised by the ease of getting there on back roads. Twists and turns up and downs past old farms, and all of a sudden, there it was. All the houses are about 4,000 square feet or more. Personally, I prefer to live in a community with more variety and without so many rules. However, it was a beautiful idyllic setting, initially breathtaking.
I finished three rounds of my infinity scarf this morning. It's now about an inch and a half wide. This afternoon I kept falling asleep!

Ginny, I hope the antibiotic works and fast. Too bad you couldn't have slept in this morning and rested your body.
Sue, I'm glad to hear you were able to get to quilting. I wouldn't want to live in a community like that either with so many rules. And I sure wouldn't want a house that large to have to take care of.
It snowed in the night and still is snowing but no wind which I love. Can't wait till spring though.
I did work a very little on my dgd's fox but I'm way behind on my projects so birthday presents will undoubtedly be late/ Gives the kids something to look forward to although for my grandaughter who will be 10 I ordered her main gift and had it sent to their home so she will have that one at least. Dgs won't have his in time for his bday then he's going to be traveling so won't be there when it finally arrives but will get the things I send eventually.
The back is down to just aching now so I'm not going to venture out in the snow. I'm used to back aching. maybe not to quite this level but it does feel much better now that the spasms have subsided.Plus the antispasmotic med helps me sleep too.

Good afternoon!
Sue, 4000 sq ft homes are way more than this woman would ever want to clean, heat or pay taxes on. Glad you got out to quilting- sounds like it was a lovely drive getting there. How is your friend’s breast cancer? I pray its been caught early and can be effectively treated easily.
Ruth, well if you have an antispasmotic then that means you got to instatcare. Rest up......try to get a little bit of activity in daily though, to keep your back loose. When you are feeling better you will feel more like working on your crochetted gifts. Crafting is a challenge when we are in pain, its something we do to relax and that is not easy unless we are comfortable.
DD’s friend passed last night/ this am. DD is taking it hard.
Feeling better- much better this am- I actually woke up with some energy.
BBL Ginny

Hello Crafters Ruth - I'm glad your back is doing better, hope it continues to improve. I'm glad you're enjoying your snow. Ginny - I'm so sorry to hear about you DD's friend, she was young and it's sad to lose someone that way. For my Falling Charms quilt I used a Charm Pack, here are a few links to see some of the fabrics (I used a cream fabric for the sashing): www.fatquartershop.com/thistle-farm-mini-charm-pack?gclid=EAIaIQobChMIlZ-1x9Lm3wIVDY3ICh1d5AgXEAQYAiABEgJjCfD_BwE - this one shows all the fabrics in one of the pictures www.ktquilts.com/shop/Kansas-Troubles-Fabric/Thistle-Farm.htmSue - I'm glad you were able to get out to quilting yesterday, what are you working on? Those houses sound beautiful, but much too big for my liking. I'd love to find a nice 1000-1200 square foot house to live in. Unfortunately those are hard to find around here, unless they are old and need lots of work. Meg and Phyl - Hope you are getting in some crafting. It's a pretty sunny day here, and a little less windy. It looks like we're only getting a possible 1-3 inches of snow this weekend. I'm hoping for the powdery type, sine I just use a broom to clear off my steps and walk. Hope everyone has a great weekend!

19 degrees right now and zooming up to 37! Clear sunny skies will make for comfortable sitting on the back deck this afternoon. The reflection off the siding creates a warm space! Sweatshirt, of course! Sunglasses, check.
We might have snow toward the end of next week. The snowpack is below normal.
bbl if I do something interesting or crafty!
