What are you willing to do today to stay positive, focused, and committed to being healthy and managing your weight?

Sunday's goals
Maybe a walk at the mall w/ my DH or some serious household cleaning. Have chicken tenderloin which might become a stir fry or ground chuck that may become a meatloaf. Maybe I will make the meatloaf for my parents and stir fry for us. If my mom did not love it so much, I would probably only make imeatloaf once or twice a year. Have a date w/ a small batch of papers. Am far enough along in the grading process that I could just do 9 tomorrow and be on track. 😇
Waving hi to LaDonna & Mj.
Happy start to the NASCAR season for all of those who follow racing. Was neat to see the speedway when we were in Fl for Thanksgiving.

Hi June. You have a nice day planned. Lol I share your DM love for meatloaf.
I had a good OP day without any sidetrackings. I plan on doing the same tomorrow.
Still sneezing but not as badly. I welcome the relief.
Sleep well.

June - Looks like you have some good options for the day. Glad you are feeling a little better Ann. Family Feud was fun, more so because we won. I almost stayed on track so no regrets. I have some ideas for tomorrow but the only thing in concrete is walking Charlie, feeding the ferals and spin. Jack is tapping my arm, asking for attention so I will bid you all good night.

Hey hey,
I wanted to give an update about my bathing suit experience. It wasn't as terrible as my mind envisioned it would be. Isn't that always the case? Ha ha! However, I had to get a new bathing suit because apparently mine was so worn that the shirt part stretched down past my knees. It definitely wasn't supposed to be like that. On a more important note, mom spent 1.5 hours in the water and wasn't in a lot of pain.
It was overall a decent experience, I think.

Lorelei, win for your mom and win for you. So glad she could enjoy the water. Ann, hope you feel better. June, I love meatloaf. The joy of retiring was not grading papers. Susi, what happened to Ginger? How is the visit with your brother?
I posted about my awesome day on yesterday’s checking in thread. We are going to Costco after breakfast then later in the afternoon I’m doing a china exchange with Laura. I am giving her my mom’s china in exchange for hers she got when my neighbor passed away. I need to count hers and try to sell it at the club antique show next month. Her husband didn’t want her to bring in anything new unless she got rid of something. My husband and kids are all sentimental keepers of stuff. I had to convince Rob no one wanted books by Nathaniel Hawthorne Dinner tonight is grilled swordfish with a lemon caper topping, roasted asparagus, sautéed Swiss chard and salad.

Good morning all. I slept well and for that I'm most grateful. Nothing planned today. I am in the market for a new shower curtain and new rugs for the smaller bathroom. I'll look online first then visit a few of the shops here in town.
Wishing AWF a great Sunday!

Lorelei - It's never as bad as you imagine. Good going! Audrey - As is the case with most ferals, we have no idea what happened to Ginger. I did find the 2 that were killed by cars and took care of their bodies. Stephen arrives late Tuesday night. Good luck with selling. I have been slowly downsizing. Off to walk Charlie, feed the ferals, go to spin and planning on finally getting back to church. With all the changes that have occurred, I need to figure out if this is still the right church for me or if I need to look elsewhere. But I definitely need to feed that side of my mind/soul/body.

Ann Glad that you had an OP day, slept well, and have no sniffles. Wonder what will strike your fancy as you shop for bathroom items. Audrey Will have to jump over to "checking in" thread to read about your Saturday. Good luck selling the china. I we have my MIL's large punch bowl set. I doubt if I could sell it even if I could persuade R.
Yes, you know all about the grading process! I am thankful to only have 50 students this semester. Makes a huge difference.
Lorelei Kudos for getting that new bathing suit and going to the pool with your Mom. Kicking aside those niggling thoughts isn't easy at times. That's terrific that your Mom could exercise for so long. Sounds like you both had better experiences than you anticipated. Ha ha ha... Your description of your old suit made me snort my tea.
You are a thoughtful daughter.
Susi Ha ha ha...winning is fun. Glad that you had a blast. Always a plus when you execute on your plan. Finding a church in which you "fit" would be a challenge.

Waving hi to Bee j, Mj, LaDonna, Pam, & BTexan!
Mj Hope that your day w/ Young Marines wasn't too taxing. Enjoy your first race of the year and your Sunday steak dinner.
Bee j Are you busy w/ the lil ones today or do you have the day for your own adventures?
LaDonna Thinking of you as you enjoy your weekend at Edisto.
Pam Know that you will be aiming for the blue dot today. Sending you lots of "blue" vibes!
BTexan Do you have any tried and true PP recipes that you like? When I dig out one of my old PP cookbooks, I usually find something that I like but had not made for awhile.

Audrey Caught up on your Checking In post for Saturday while taking a break from grading. How ondeful to meet the artist. What a blessing that he is still creating artwork at his age. Reminds me of seeing an elderly cameo mater carve a piece while in Italy. And of course it reminded me of my parents who created jewelry using many techniques like silversmithing, wire wrapping, and beading.
