know the fats are penalized because of the calories but having to use or eat a healthy fat still doesn't make sense to me jae. I’m confused by what you mean by “having to use," Becky. Do you mean because you are currently following PointsPlus? If so, there is no penalty under PP for saturated fats…all fats are treated the same under the PP formula.

Sorry zazzles. I did mean fats but I still think they should be lower in points no matter the plan.

I went to a meeting this morning, the room was packed, there had to be 6 or 8 new people. Hum.. how odd at the beginning of March.

Yes, I do mean actual online meetings. There are a variety of different formats that allow people to participate in real time. WW has the money and personnel to do this in a big way. While others have done this in a small way WW could really do this well and people expect meetings from WW and I think online meetings would be a draw. I do think there is still room for actual physical meetings. I do see younger people at my meetings (I usually go on a Saturday though). I was reading an interesting Kevin Hall article on weight loss regain and maintenance www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC5764193/He talks about how the case should be handled where someone has lot a lot of weight but has regained a lot of it and has gone to see his physician. Part of what he says: He then talks about things that could be taught including behavioral strategies for weight loss, strengthening satisfaction with outcomes, relapse prevention training, cognitive restructuring and flexibility, appealing to internal motivations, and managing expectations. The only commercial program or "diet" that he mentioned was WW. That is what is really unique about WW. It is the only easily accessible weight loss program that really does all of that through meetings -well, it used to anyway. His other options are expensive and usually require a doctor to initiate. WW you can do your self and it is inexpensive compared to the others. This is what WW can do that the free tools don't do.

Roz [/quote] We've certainly had that, snow storms, ice storms, polar vortex and most recently a wind storm. Crazy stuff. Maybe this year March will be the new January.

Sorry zazzles . I did mean fats but I still think they should be lower in points no matter the plan. Okay, now I’ve got it. But then you’d have to nominate something else to be double the points to make up for the lower points assigned to fats. This is the problem WW’s points plans have always had—if you give something away for free, those calories must be offset by charging more than 100% for something else. It is the best reason that I know for WW to switch to calorie counting and distinguish themselves in other ways. For example, the background of tracked foods could be colored to indicate relative healthfulness: green for the healthiest, yellow for slightly less healthy, and red for very unhealthy. Some other sites/apps do this already. MyNetDiary is a favorite of mine. Its web-based tracker looks like this:

I received a personalized invitation from WW by email today to “share my story” on ConsumerAffairs.com It looks like they are open to everyone’s reviews, FYI, and WW is responding to them. www.consumeraffairs.com/nutrition/weight_watchers.htmlWe have had so many good ideas here, thought I would share it for those of you that have been wanting to share your opinion with WW.

Interesting. Exactly the same as it was (is?) on their FB page.
Negative feedback responded to by saying we will reach out to you privately.
Maybe a public resolution would serve them better.
If they want my good ideas, they can come here and read, or reach out to me privately with cash.

debinprogress I received the same email and my imput wasn't favorable. They are still looking into it or so the response said.I'm not holding my breath for them reaching out to me. I just looked on that website and it had my review and on 11/13 it said one of their resolution specialists will reach out to me shortly. As I said I'm not holding my breath considering it is now 3/3.
