Interesting. Exactly the same as it was (is?) on their FB page. Negative feedback responded to by saying we will reach out to you privately. Maybe a public resolution would serve them better. If they want my good ideas, they can come here and read, or reach out to me privately with cash. They don't want anything negative public, they only want to publish the positive stuff (ok -like all businesses, but still...). At least they're not like some companies on FB that not only delete negative reviews , they block you, too lol.

DotRen, The problem is the negative feedback is there. So when you go to that website, all you read is the negative, and the vague response. I think they would be well served by responding with something like "thanks for contacting us. we're pleased that the agent who reached out to you was able to solve your problem."

My friends at Team WW sent me this in an email today. I am an online LT member.

I think they would be well served by responding with something like "thanks for contacting us. we're pleased that the agent who reached out to you was able to solve your problem." That would mean they actually did something to solve a problem & that's unlikely. If I posted something negative & had that response, my next message would be to point out they didn't solve anything. Whenever I contacted Customer Service, the person was always pleasant but most times had no clue. It's hard to believe that a company that's been around this long has so many areas that need fixed.

Exactly. They are on a downhill trajectory, and stuff like this is why they are having such a hard time turning it around. It is all well and good to focus on the macro (studio, WW, wellness, blah, blah, blah) but at the same time it is the micro that holds the customers you attract. And that is good customer service, good technology and well-trained leadership.

Concerning March and new people, the "summer is 90 days away" "time to get ready for bathing suit season" is starting to be advertised and posted all over social media. I've noticed people loosely equate this to "I can lose 15 to 30 pounds in 3 months" and be ready. So, a frenzied panic to do something around now usually insues? ensues? ugh spelling lol

It's hard to believe that a company that's been around this long has so many areas that need fixed. While the company has been around for 55 years, the problems we’ve been talking about largely relate to their entry in the electronic world, starting with the original WW Online web site. Prior to the Internet era, control of things was local and issues were resolved locally; the only issues that required escalation to WW headquarters were those related to Lifetime, and they were usually the need for a LT member’s number to be located and their status verified. With the start of WW Online, then the deployment of computers in meeting centers linked to headquarters, then the app, they’ve created one huge technological nightmare for themselves—most probably because they tried to do it all on the cheap from the get go.

To this day, it dumbfounds me as to how bad WW has been with technology. One of the supposed negatives of WW is that its members are older and they want the younger, more technology based members. I sort of understand that. I mean, sure. It makes sense to prefer 30 year old members to members who are 60 as the former are less likely to die off.
But -- I often thought that it isn't the older members who are technology dinosaurs -- it is the company itself. I am in my 60s but I bought my first computer over 30 years ago. I am "up" on technology and use it regularly. It is WW that has been so far behind other companies. I don't know if this is just the cheapness of the owners. I think part of it is that WW thought that with "older" members that it didn't have to be up to date on technology. They didn't think their members were know or care that they were so far behind. But, times change and I think most of their members (older ones, too) have become more technologically aware and notice how WW is behind other companies they do business with.
But given the backwardness of WW they seem supremely ill-suited to trying to attract a more technologically advanced group of users. If they can't satisfy the technology needs of people 60+ years old, it is hard to imagine them satisfying the needs of younger members....

Kitty, agreed! Mindy may have been able to turn around QVC but I don't thinks she has a handle on how to turn WW. Without making it seem sad and pathetic and way behind the curve.

I feel like WW is my long time friend and she has issues. I felt that way, too. Well, in many ways I still feel that way. One of the things that I know is a flaw of mine is that I sometimes stick with something well past when it quits working. I just keep plugging along. That isn't always bad. Sometimes I end up getting to my goal when others have long since given up. But sometimes I don't change fast enough. When my son was in school he attended a private school for several years that DH and I loved. We felt (and still feel) that it benefited him enormously for a few years. But -- he left the school at mid-year when he was in high school when it became clear the school wasn't working for him any more. But -- here's the thing. In retrospect -- I should have had him switch schools a year and a half earlier. Instead I kept trying to make it work for us when it really wasn't working any more. That doesn't take away from the fact that it did work for a long time. But, I found it very hard to just give up on and move on. I sort of feel that way about WW. After I got to goal in 2015, I wanted to lose some more weight as my body fat percentage was high (about 45%). But, I never made any real progress over the next two and a half years. In fact the only time I made any real progress was when I gave up on SP and start calorie counting and doing IF. Then, I started doing Freestyle and I regained what I had lost. The point is that looking back on it, it is clear that WW isn't a good fit for me any more. But, I really didn't want to admit that. I sort of see WW as that childhood friend that was so important to me and that I loved...but we've both changed and the magic is just no longer there....

This is interesting! I wonder what other new - or Big Name - "investors" may pop up in the WW World.

I read it. Kind of reminded me of the old saying, “A fool and his money are soon parted."

So she is in charge of the company. It doesn't do well, the stock price plunges. She buys stock at the depressed price and ... Stay tuned.

Makes me wonder if she knows something the rest of us don't know about or did she feel pressured to buy the stock to convey confidence in the brand.....
