Thanks for posting, diva49, I still have my autographed photo of Jean from when I met her at the Opryland Hotel in Nashville. She truly was a trailblazer and inspirations. I agree, some of the comments are interesting. They echo some of the sentiments we've expressed in this forum. Roz

I don't spend much time on Facebook, but I did check out the comments. Man, those people are catty. And that's probably why I don't "do" Facebook.

They need to correct the caption. She was not the founder of "WW",she was the founder of Weight Watchers. Whoever is in the drivers seat NOW is the founder of WW and it's a fiasco (IMO).

diva49, Thanks for sharing. It is interesting to see how widespread the discontent is.

Remembering Jean Neitich today as yet another woman who led the way.

It is wonderful to see the tribute. My daughter has worked for WW for 25 years. She loves it and loves the successes of all the people who have come through her meeting doors. She is always positive and willing to look at the changes being made and evaluate. Marie

Wow. Just read through some of the comments. WW are reading them as well, because I saw where they replied to a comment about counting points. Only replying to neutral comments though, ones about the program and how it works. Not to any others that are complaining or sharing disappointment about the program. But they are definitely reading them if they replied to a replied comment 😂😂😂

The comments made for interesting reading. I don’t see them so much as catty as I do self-righteous—“Freestyle works for me, so everybody else must be doing it wrong or have physical issues. There’s no need to support options that hold no personal interest for me.”

There’s no need to support options that hold no personal interest for me.” Funny, I missed those. Most that I read went something like "Freestyle doesn't work. They should go back to the old way." LOL
Admittedly, I didn't read too much before I decided my time was better spent doing something else.

Haven't looked at the comments and perhaps I shouldn't. Jean Nidetch was an inspiration for me and I followed the program in 1974 with the fish, liver and whatever else she told me to eat. Don't gag but I am a Jewish girl whose father made the best chopped liver and whose husband grew up with liver and onions. Anyway, people on FB or whatever need to understand this is about her and not about them. I commented because I am going through a very chatty period

I commented because I am going through a very chatty period I’m from the class of 1975, so had the same experience as you. I am NOT Jewish, but got tired of calve’s liver and tried a recipe from the Weight Watchers program cookbook of the day, which was for Chicken Liver Pate. It was absolutely delicious…but it stunk up the house so thoroughly for so long that I never made it again. I may try to make that again some day; I have portable Induction burners which I could use out in the yard to keep the smell out of the house!

zazzles use chicken livers. Butchers have them. I saw them at Golden Gate at the Ferry Bldg. I’m not sure that my people trusted non Kosher calves but they trusted chickens.
