Thank you for all your kind words re: my dental woes. Sue your story gave me chills. I had a neighbor that died from a tooth infection. He was in the process of having a root canal done. Back in those days it took FOREVER to complete and he didn't make it! I do know that it's important to keep up with your teeth due to all types of health...even being diabetic! The gal that cleans my teeth is very good and explains a lot as she is cleaning away. Makes for a nicer visit! Great job on your weight loss, Judy. Sorry I missed that but I just couldn't concentrate typing and biting down on a wad of bandages. I stink at 'multitasking' LOL. Just got back from walk #1 and waiting for Carl to get off the phone...and they say WOMEN are GABBERS lol. Good luck with your couch woes...things like that just shouldn't happen! They give a store a bad name. Take care, all and talk tomorrow. Hi Pam

Back again. I hope everyone remembers to look at the full moon tonight on the equinox. Last time it happened was 19 years ago. I LOVE the moon I also found a certificate for a manicure/pedicure that Carl gave me for Valentine's Day. I immediately called Kathy and she can see me tomorrow at 1:30. I am stoked. After all the stuff I went through it's going to feel really good to sit back and get pampered. While there, we'll hit BJ's then work our way back home again. Sleep well, all.

Hi again all,
All quiet on the eastern front here and in the cafe, too! One more day and I am on vacation! Can't wait. The sooner I break free here, the happier I will be. Everyone around me seems to have cold/virus. I am treating them all like lepers! Stay away! I tell them I am like Howard Hughes and so far, so good! Luckily, no one in my immediate vicinity is sick.
I have book club tomorrow night. The book we read was Out of Africa. Actually, I did not read it. I started it, and the writing is beautiful, but it did not hold my interest. Think I was too restless for it. I loved the movie, though!
Today I went to a health seminar at work called Aging Well. They talked about the whole food/eat clean plan with no red meat, etc. Like all of you, I know this stuff forwards and backwards but I have to do what works for us. Once in a while, we love a burger. All in moderation.
I hope you are all having a great day. I may be off line a bit next week since I will be immersed in Disney World, but I will try to check in when I can. I'll have my iPad with me. But, until we leave Monday, I'll be around!

Hi Judy. I went for my much needed mani/pedi and then we stopped at BJ's. The traffic was totally nuts! I was never so happy to pull into our driveway.
So sorry that everyone decided to come in sick!!!! Safe travels and enjoy your trip.
I enjoyed the movie but also could NOT get into the book. Funny how that happens. Usually with me it's the other way around.
Waving to Pam and Sue and will be back tomorrow.
Yes Judy the moon was such a splendid sight.

Good Morning, WW Friends ~
TGIF!! I am so glad it is Friday! This week was tiring. My work partner got pulled yesterday to help out in a classroom that was short, and so I was alone (again). This is really getting old! But our work week is over and I have three days to recoup. Today I am meeting a Red Hat GF for lunch at a new bistro that opened in our area and we just want to see it, so we chose that for our get-together. I am looking forward to it after watching them build it for months. I am going right from there to our CPA’s office to have our taxes done. I always look forward to seeing her, so that will be a treat as well. The rest of my weekend is free. I should make a run to Costco as my list continues to grow.
Ann ~ So glad your dental experience is over AND that you got the chance to be pampered! Those two just make a wonderful combination.
Judy ~ Happy vacation! I am in total agreement with you avoiding those people who come to work sick. Great job on cleaning out unwanted clothing. I am pleased with my efforts as well. Bummer about the delivery people destroying your door!! I am so glad you got the company to agree to make it right.
We went out to eat Tuesday night (to DH’s VBF’s restaurant and visit with him) and we got to watch the moon rise while we were eating. Then I saw it from my patio door when I got home and again the next morning. It was quite a sight!! Wednesday we went for our planned BBQ dinner (and brought home enough meat for another meal as usual). We had the dinner-for-2 which includes a half slab of ribs, four sides and four sides of smoked meats. We had the pulled pork, smoked turkey, beef brisket and smoked salmon. It was all delicious!! Our sides were the cornbread, buttermilk slaw, pit beans and mac ‘n cheese. Quite a feast!! Last night we had leftover corned beef, potatoes and carrots along with green beans. Made a beautiful plate and tasted delicious!
I went for WW WI on Wednesday and was down 0.4 which isn’t much, but it beats being UP! I am hanging just a few pounds below my WW goal weight but I would like to be a few pounds lighter (of course). Nonetheless, I will stay the course and it will all add up. I am finding my jeans are looser which makes me happy.
I had to order a new license plate for my car this year and though I mailed it in early, I was getting concerned because it hadn’t arrived and it needed to be on my car by April 1st. Glad I didn’t waste much time “worrying” because it came yesterday and DH already put it on my car. There’s one more thing off my mind. He knew I was concerned because I asked him every day if it had come in the mail (yet).
I had three big bags of donation (clothing, sheets and a comforter set) out on the front porch yesterday but they never picked them up. I had scheduled on line for the first time, and when I called yesterday afternoon, sure enough they didn’t have me on the schedule. They said they’d schedule me for next Thursday, but meanwhile DH put them in my car and I may go by another Thrift Store today and let them take them out for me. Otherwise, I had to lug them downstairs and back up again and I just didn’t want to. Maybe if the lady had been more concerned about my inconvenience, I would have done it. But she just said "oh, sometimes it works and sometimes it doesn't". {{sigh}} While I was waiting on hold to schedule a pick up, the recording suggested going online and scheduling that way.
And NOW it's snowing!!
BBL. Make a great day!!

Sue so sorry that your workload is heavy. Being alone at work isn't fun. I've had more than my fair share of that while working. Yeah to being down .4 I had a maintain today and from my wii weigh ins at home, I am down 1.1 so I'll take it. The first Thursday of April I'll show up at my weight watcher meeting, collect my etool voucher and weigh in for the month. What a wonderful (and tasty) way to watch the moon rise Yuck to your snow!!!! We are having rain here and I pray it stays that way. Time for coffee. I finished making my hummus and putting the veggie bean soup that I made in smaller containers. Now when I want it I just take them out and nuke them I'm all for making life easier these days. Will try to pop back in later.

TGIF and glad the week is done, too!
You week sounded exhausting, Sue. It takes a lot of energy even with a couple people, I am sure. Glad you have today off. Nice to have 3 day weekends! Sorry about the pickup by the agency. I have thought about the offers from Big Brothers Big Sisters since they always call to say they are in the neighborhood, but I worried about the reliability, too. So, I am running to the women's shelter with all my clothes at noon. They have a big thrift shop and it raises a lot of money for the shelter. It's not far from my work, so that's good, too. It's Abby's house, Ann. I love their mission. I used to buy their house pins, too.
Last night we watched the HBO special on Theranos. That woman really swindled so many and put people's lives at risk. I read the book Bad Blood. Amazing how a 19 years old could convince so many. I don't think she set out to con people - I think she really was delusional and believed she could invent that device. She believed her own fantasy. But, as things went wrong, she hid it and probably thought she could fix it. Not the case. She thought she would save the world. Oh well, it is a fascinating case.
I am reading Ann Tyler's The Clock Dance now and I really like it. She is one of my favorite authors.
I'll pick up fish and chips for Dh tonight on the way home and then head to book club. Not sure what is on the menu but my baker friend is bringing an Orange Bavarian Torte. She's a fancy French baker! Way beyond my skill level! I am sure I will save room for that.
TTFN and have a great day. Ann, glad you got your mani/pedi. I always feel better when my nails and toes are "dressed up". Homemade hummus is the best! Hope you enjoy it. I used to make it all the time when I could not buy it. I still love Joseph's hummus the best in the grocery. It's the most authentic, I think, and made in MA and NH. We also have a little Egyptian market in our area that has fabulous hummus, too.

Judy I have to agree with Joseph's hummus. I can no longer have the Tahini paste so that's why I make my own using sesame seeds and sesame oil just a little bit. Oh I would most definitely save room for that dessert. Have a bite for me, too LOL. Enjoy your book club.
Well, Sue thanks for sending some of that SNOW our way. I looked out the window and thought I was seeing white floaters LOL.....Not amounting to anything, but still...it's SPRING already!
Waving to Pam.

Yikes, no snow for us here, Ann, but misty out. My run to Abby's house took longer than I thought. My co-worker spotted two adorable dresses with the tags still on by Betsy Johnson - fun and frilly so I bought them for my DGD. They were about $3 each (down from about $80 each!). However, the line took forever.
I'll be in touch over the weekend! BBFN

Great job on those dresses. Judy. I'm sure she is going to love them. The snow squall stopped. Now it's just dreary and misty to rain on and off. Perfect day to remain indoors. Carl ran errands solo. What a guy.

Good Afternoon, WW Friends ~
I have had a very fun and very productive day. It definitely perked me up from my downer week. I got lots of odds and ends done around here this morning. Then I met a good friend for lunch and we sat and talked for a couple of hours. I left just in time to get to my CPA appointment which was a distance away. It was great visiting with her as well since I only see her once a year and we've known each other for years.
On the way home I stopped at Kohl's and used my new 30% off coupon on a new spring purse (cocoa color). It was already on sale then with my discount it was very affordable indeed. I was tired of my black one (I must think Spring is coming LOL) and now look forward to switching over. I also stopped at HR office for the school district. My CPA told me we only needed to file my state taxes this year because of what I have coming back from them. I'll probably pay her more than that. So she suggested I change my withholdings with the district and we won't even have to file next year. All things considered, we are in an enviable position tax-wise and she is still holding onto a large loss on the business we closed (as a cushion). But she had done a good bit of investigation before I got there and was just full of good news. It felt good to have enough energy to run errands after my busy day. I also dropped off my three bags of donations at the St. Vincent DePaul shop while I was out. They were very appreciative.
I have just finished reposting DH's items for sale on Craig's List so he can start selling them. I feel like I have papers spread everywhere on my computer desk but I'll finish cleaning it up tomorrow. Right now I am catching up on computer work and listening to Alexa play Blake Shelton for me.
I am planning grilled salmon on top of a salad for supper tonight. BBL. Make a great rest of the day!

Good morning all. Woke up to a snow covered lawn. Oh well...spring WILL get here to STAY...just not now I do plan on going out for a walk. Either outdoors or at Market Basket which is huge. Sue you did have a busy day. I also love Blake Shelton. He has a great voice and easy on the eye We have good luck on Craig's List. I just wish that people that responded were really interested in the items instead of just messing around. Wishing all a wonderful day! Will CBL

Good Morning, WW Friends ~
Happy Saturday!! We woke to temps in the 20's (AGAIN!) but hopefully it will get warm soon! Yesterday I drove through a snow squall, then hail, then sunshine, then rain ..... a little bit of everything on a drive that was only half an hour each way.
I got some more paperwork done after I posted yesterday. I had to find and print the Withholding Exemption Certificate off the WSD website (since no one in any office could help me). Then I texted my CPA my couple of questions, and she has already answered me, so I can turn it in on Monday. I got most of the papers off my desk before DH got home. Good thing he was late last night.
Our lettuce had gone flukey, so we opted to go out to eat. We went out for fish and enjoyed it very much. All in all, I seriously overate yesterday, so time to rein it back in. I sometimes do splurge after a WI but this was too much (good thing I enjoyed it).
Ann ~ You made me laugh with "easy on the eye" regarding Blake Shelton. Yes, he is all that too. I also wish we could skip the nuisance replies that always come when we first post something on Craig's List. Then it settles down and we only hear from those who are truly interested. Hope that happens today.
We had Bagel Thins for breakfast with peanut butter & banana along with a shared orange. It is the week's end and we still have plenty of fruit, so we're trying to eat it up. I need to go to Costco today so am planning to get going early and get it over with. Laundry is already started, so it can be finished when I get home.
BBL. Make a great day!!
