Good morning friends. Slept well and happy for that. Also happy that my weight is once again going in the right direction! Again, WB Judy Hope your first day back isn't too stressful. Today there isn't much on my agenda other than the impression for my lower partial. I put together a veggie lasagna yesterday so all I need to do is pop that in the oven for supper. Will CBL...wishing all a great OP Monday!

Hi everyone,
I started a post hours ago, but was interrupted and lost my note. It was a busy day getting back to work. I could have used one more day at home to regroup but managed to slug my way through the day. It was fun to see colleagues and have lunch with them to catch up. One friend was also at Epcot last week but we missed each other. Today wasn’t our DDs birthday. She turned 36! Hard to believe. We had a great chat on the phone. So glad we all had fun and were able to celebrate last week.
I enjoyed catching up on posts. I missed you all! I’ll bbl and I hope you all have a great night. I have my WW meeting tomorrow and then a bone density test. Night night!

Good morning girls. Another good night of sleep. Today while Carl is out with a few of his buddies, I plan on going through the closets and getting rid of some things (his included LOL) to donate. I'll launder some and put the rest in a bag to be dry cleaned. I won't do the entire closet switch as I'm sure we'll have colder weather! Judy yes I would always give myself a day or so to get back into the mindset of 'work' before I retired! Happy bday to your DD/ Good luck at your weight watcher meeting and bone density test. Tomorrow I go to get 'beautified' with Enzo Looking forward to a much needed cut. Waving and wishing all a wonderful OP day

Good Morning, WW Friends ~
Happy Tuesday! I seemed to have completely missed Monday. I went to school very early and was wiped out by the time I got home. I was so happy that all I had to do was preheat the oven and set supper inside, then serve it. DH did all the clean-up (bless his heart) and I spent the evening in my recliner. Funny how quickly we forget that we used to work 8 hours EVERY day and now it is so tiring.
Anyway, I spent my day with just under 20 1st and 2nd graders (with three other adults) and we had a fabulous time. We took them outside around noon and it was still quite cold. Since they all complained of being hungry (though I suspect it was as much boredom) we moved lunch up to 11:30 and then went right outside. When we came in, I sought help from another room's teacher and we put on a movie for them to watch. Do you have any idea how long they sat and watched?? That age group seems to have the attention span of a flea (honestly!) but they did pretty good. After the movie, we had playtime, then snack time, then went back outside. When we came in it was almost time for two of us to leave, so we moved our entire class down to the gym where there was another class and another adult, so we left them in charge.
Judy ~ Welcome back! Thanks for sharing the wonderful pictures! Looks like a wonderful time was had by all! I think you were very wise to take a day to recoup, and probably could have used two. Hopefully you can just ease back into your work week.
Ann ~ Yay for getting things cleared out. I have donated twice in as many weeks, and am thinking I will have more when I unpack my capris. Since I just bought three new pairs, I can get rid of at least that many out of my bin when I unpack them.
Pam ~ I am sure you are off and running again this week. Looking forward to hearing from you.
I have $15 in Kohl's rewards and most of it expires at the end of this week, so I am thinking about shopping online (where I get an additional 20% off) and then picking up at the nearest store later this week. I'm finding more things online than I found in the store when I went Saturday. But I can't see or touch them, so there is a drawback as well. Still deciding ......
I also need to put on my thinking cap and decide on something for dinner tonight. I had planned to thaw a pork loin and put it in the crock pot, but I never made it downstairs last night to get it out of the freezer, and honestly didn't think of it again until this morning. Maybe I will thaw it to put in the crock pot tomorrow.
BBL. Make a great day!!

Hi all,
Feeling more in the swing of things today. I do still work these 8 hour days, Sue, but nothing as tiring as chasing around little kids! You need every second scheduled with them. My job is pretty easy peasy as far as exertion. In fact, I could really move around more. I try to get up and talk to people in person instead of the constant email stuff. It's busy here but I know the drill so it's okay. I don't think my feeble brain could really learn a new job at this age. LOL
Ann and Sue, kudos to you both for clearing out more stuff. I chuckle to think of Carl's stuff in the bottom of the bag. He will never miss it, Ann! I have done that with leftover kids stuff. They left things in their drawers that I have donated. They'll never wear them again after being gone for years. And, I need the storage. :-) I did donate three HUGE bags before our FL vacation. That was helpful. I have much more to do and Sue, like you, I try to get rid of an equal amount of anything new I buy. Two Capris in, two Capris out! Good luck at Kohl's. I did find a bathing suit cover up there before FL and a pair of shorts and two nighties. I like their cotton nighties for summer. I have a few $20 off from Dress Barn, money from Talbot's and Shoes.com to check out, but I really don't need much right now, so I guess it's not a deal if you don't need it. (Boy, that sounds like my dad!) A sale's not a sale if you don't need it, he would say! :-) But, he was a true clothes horse and had the best wardrobe around so he did not stick to his mottos. :-)
Today I met a former co-worker from another college for lunch in our cafeteria. I stuck to a big salad and had a brownie for dessert. I wasn't tempted by the entrees. I am happy that after one week at Disney World, I gained only 2/10 of a pound. That's a victory with all the meals out and I am sure the 8 miles walking a day helped. My meeting today was a good one. I really enjoy our leader Linda. Do you know her, Ann? Probably not since she lives in Westborough and works mainly in the Shrewsbury WW center. I feel I have a lot in common with her and I like that.
My bone density went well and now all I need is the Shringrix shot and the dTAP shot. I'll go to CVS for both. Shringrix has been in short supply. Tomorrow Doug, our Cavalier, goes back to the Ophthalmologist for a recheck on his "Bell's Palsy" eye issue. Poor guy. He is not in pain and continues to do a bit better with drops and antibiotics. They think an ear infection may have caused it. It's not better yet, but looking slightly improved. Pam, I did not see how your kitty is. Is she okay? I hope so.
TTFN...I am too tired to restart my water aerobics tonight. Next week sounds good. I did make the faux Mac and Cheese from the WW comfort cookbook. It has cauliflower and acorn squash along with SOME macaroni- has feta cheese, lf cheddar and plain yogurt. It's very good!! This is Eric Greenspan's book and so far, I love it.

Judy that is amazing only gaining .2. I'm sure all that walking paid off. I love any kind of mac and cheese. That sounds good with the squash and feta additions.
Going to relax a bit before supper.
Talk tomorrow

Good Morning, WW Friends ~
Happy Hump Day!! I am also sleeping very well and waking feeling refreshed (without an alarm). This morning I am putting a pork loin in the crock pot for supper and will roast fresh asparagus with it along with some Uncle Ben's Ready Rice. I have a 4:30 nail appointment, so supper will be almost ready when I get back home. I like when it works out that way.
Yesterday I completely changed my mind, and after starting laundry, I showered and headed out to Kohl's where I found an adorable top on sale, that with all my Kohl's cash and coupons ended up only costing me a few dollars. I consider that a BIG win!! And I was able to feel it as well as try it on. Then I went to Meijer and cashed in our stash of pop cans and bought a couple of items that I needed. I got home in time to completely finish up the laundry before DH got home (so he could put his away).
Before I went shopping yesterday, I spent a couple of hours on my computer doing some much over-due back up. I updated my passwords list as well as pictures from the past three (yes, 3!) years onto my external hard drive. I don't know where the time goes! But I do need to keep a current list of passwords somewhere besides on my laptop (on my desk top). So now it's done and I felt really good about it!
Judy ~ I agree with the “two in, two out” philosophy <LOL> In fact, I now have to do that with shoes because my storage space is full and IF I want a new pair, I have to give one up. I did purge that in the past couple of years, so now they are all shoes that I wear. DH bought me several pairs over a short period of time, so I had to part with some old favorites. I think I only hang onto them out of laziness. Congrats on only gaining 0.2 on vacation. I would count that as a BIG victory!!
Ann ~ Enjoy getting “beautified” today. We have glorious sunshine this morning with temps almost 40 already. I plan to get outdoors for something later today. I ended up making leftover turkey tenderloin (in FF gravy) over mashed potatoes for supper, paired with peas and carrots. Another true comfort food.
Waving "hello" to Pam! We watched a TV show last night with one character who was preparing to enter hospice (after being a hospice worker for many years) and I thought about you and your great work!
They are promising a warm up for us this weekend with temps in the 60's. That will be very welcome!
BBL. Make a great day!!

Happy Hump Day!
Loved reading the posts and catching up. I should shop with you, too, Sue. You do so well! Half the time I forget the coupons or they have expired. LOL
I went to CVS and was "shot up" in both arms - dTAP and Shingrix. Fun, fun. My dTap arm is sore! By the time I got home, it was nearly 7 PM as I had to wait a bit. Oddly enough, my shots cost a total of $35.00 and my DH's were free. We both have the same plans, too! Who knows how it all works! His is a few years older so they must have changed it a bit by the time I was eligible.
I made the Three Bean 0 pt chili today - well, it is cooking in the crockpot. Sue, you have mentioned it a lot and I thought it would go well with the faux mac and cheese for tonight. I am still too tired and actually too sore to go to water aerobics this week. My knees are killing me. Another reason I have GOT to lose this wt. And I will! I am motivated. Did I tell you how disheartening it was to witness the obesity epidemic in FL at Disney? I see very heavy folks here, but nothing at all like what I saw there. Very sad, and some so young. It was a serious wake up call for me.
Sue, what FF gravy do you use? I generally make my own gravy, but yours sound enticing!
Ann, how was your veggie lasagna? Sounds great. And have fun with Enzo. I know you will look beautiful!
I gave a good pal a gift card for her birthday to WEBS in Northampton, and we will head out for lunch sometime soon. She loves to knit and that IS the place! She is much younger than I am and a very talented knitter. She's my mentor! I really love Northampton.
I have to bake tonight for the person who won the Cookie/Squares of the month raffle at our college picnic last year. Four of us bake - 3x a year for this year. This is my last time. I am going to make an easy recipe instead of time consuming cookies. I am making Brownie-Peanut Butter-Crispy squares. Easy and sounded good. I have never made them.
All for now...back to work! Make it a great day, WWers! Thanks for the continued encouragement.

Just a quick mid-day check-in since I am home and can do so ......
Judy ~ I use Heinz HomeStyle gravy. It comes in FF and regular and in turkey, chicken, beef, pork as well as mushroom and, I think, onion. I keep it in the pantry as 1/2 jar between the two of us is only 1 SP and is plenty. It is great with mashed potatoes or noodles (or just about anything else). I am definitely a believer!
I have one more large container of Turkey 3-Bean Chili in the freezer that I should thaw this weekend as soon it will no longer be the weather for it. It is so good and so handy to have at the ready. I took out hamburger patties and turkey burger patties and chicken sausages to thaw so I can grill them; maybe tomorrow.
My nail gal texted me to see if I could come earlier if she got home and I definitely WILL! That would be even better for me. I also have two cups of chilled NSA cinnamon applesauce in the fridge to have tonight.
BBL.

Thanks, Ann and Sue, for the endorsements on the gravy. I learn so much from all of you! Glad you are home today, Sue, and glad you are all "spiffed up", Ann! I am dragging today. I think the shots have made me feel a little out of sorts but it's temporary.
