Sue was wondering where you were yesterday. Sometimes it's a good thing to NOT turn on the computer when you are super busy. So glad that you and DH are happy with your decision. He remains in my prayers. Well, I MUST start this day! Need to get the 'face on' so that I can go for a walk LOL. I don't want to be responsible for scaring people

If any of you see this, please pray for Karen, my friend who got the heart transplant a while back. Last night, we were at church together. Tonight she is fighting for her life against pneumonia and sepsis. My head is spinning as I just learned doctors are giving a 20% chance of survival. How could things go so bad so fast?!? Please pray!

We had a long day today but productive. It was a beautiful and warming day and that often motivates me to do a little weeding and purging. There are so many categories to tackle so I started small because I tend to have a hard time letting go at times. I spent a good few hours cleaning out my bathroom cabinets and cosmetic drawers in my vanity. I filled a good sized bag with things to toss and a few to give away and organized the rest. My aim is to simplify life and daily routines! Then while DH finished his work in the bathroom, started laundry and made a trip to the store to buy a new curtain, hand towels, a new waste basket, etc to do the finishing touches! I made a couple returns as well on a few items I bought for DH before the Disney trip.
Pam, your family gatherings sound very special. Aren’t you lucky to have so much family nearby. That is wonderful. Traditions are the best, Christmas Eve is ours, too. What a feast and party that will be for all of you. You must have a nice piece of property, too. I am thinking about your friend as I write. Hugs to you. Today is the 20year anniversary of my dad’s death. I had a vivid dream of him last night. My mom and my late brother were in the dream, too. I must have really had them in my mind.
We had fish n chips tonight. We like a little takeout spot nearby that makes great haddock.
Ann, the eyebrow microblading hurt a little bit but not bad. The payoff is worth it! They turned out great. Just having brows is wonderful. Oh, and our little Daisy is also a Houdini with the harness. She has done a little backwards dance and ducked her head and out she comes! It terrifies me as she is apt to dart off. I have to be sure she does not get behind us when we walk because when her antics start. 🐶🙊
Sue, I can only imagine your exhaustion after a full day of tots. You must have been ready to collapse into silence! Teachers are heroes to me for their patience and good work. Glad you had an easy dinner planned.
Our little DGD FaceTimed us this AM all excited to tell us that they have an ant 🐜 infestation! She was quite excited about it reporting that no one has been bitten. But, her parents were not sharing her enthusiasm and were contacting an exterminator today. Our DGD is a character and loves anything to do with nature...bees, birds, ducks, you name it! Especially elephants!
im watching The Outlaws all about Bonnie and Clyde on Netflix. When I lived in Joplin, we used to drive by the house with the big shootout and now I see they were finally cut down near Shreveport!
All for now. On with the laundry flip and a few more chores. Have a peaceful night all.

Judy sounds like you had a productive day of weeding things out. I too enjoy doing that. My eyebrows are very sparse these days. Not sure if it was from the radiation or just 'old age' LOL......I was just curious as a friend of mine is thinking of having that done. (((hugs))) on the dream of your DD and those that have passed on. I too have those kind of dreams and I wake up feeling really peaceful. Tomorrow seeing as it's going to be nice, we'll take a jaunt to BJ's in Leominster to stock up! While there I am going to scoot on over to Super WalMart and have Kathy do my manicure. I really need it. My cuticles are always such a mess and she does a wonderful job. Carl can walk around there while I'm getting the special treatment LOL. Sleep well, all

Good Morning, WW Friends ~
It is a sad day in Spartanville. Our MSU Spartans lost their basketball game last night. DH and I stayed up and watched it (so didn't get to bed until after 11). Nonetheless, I was up a little after 7 so I got my 8 hours of sleep.
Pam ~ I am so sorry to hear about your friend! She will definitely be in my thoughts and prayers. What a terrible shock!!
Judy ~ Too funny about your DGD and the ants! I could understand her parents not being nearly as excited as she is. But I can picture her excitement! I also did some cleaning out over the weekend. I emptied a blue plastic bin downstairs that had "baking supplies" in it. I no longer bake and there were some very old mixes, etc., in there - so I emptied it out into a garbage bag.
Ann ~ Hope you got your mani and now feel very spiffied up! We are going to have a beautiful day as well and we are way overdue. Enjoy!!
We ended up making last night a date night and went for early supper at the Outback Steakhouse. I had my very favorite Steakhouse salad (chopped pecans, blue cheese with blue cheese vinaigrette dressing) topped with grilled sirloin. It was delicious as always!! DH had the 6 oz sirloin with sweet potato and HIS favorite, the wedge salad. All the way around it was a wonderful evening. Plus we drove home while it was still daylight!
I got some pix during the night from DH's VBF. Seems the brood female of the boxer contingent began whelping during the night and as of this morning had 4 pups. This is her third litter, and they are always beautiful!! We are planning to go out there this afternoon to see them.
I will be happy to get back to my usual job and hours tomorrow. Those two 8 hour days were tough on me, plus the Child Care kids are a lot more work!! There is a lack of structure and a lot of them are strangers to each other, and they tend to try every trick in the book (or so it seems).
BBL. Make a great day!

Happy Sunday! Just a quick update on Karen. She made it through the night with only slight improvement. They started dialysis, which I am hoping will help. My DSIL went to NOLA this morning to sit with the family and reports Karen is still fighting, but the medicines she has to take to prevent her body from rejecting the heart transplant left her pretty much defenseless against infection, which is why things went bad so quickly. Please keep the prayers coming. I slept only fitfully last night and said another prayer each time I woke.
Abby spent the night last night and sleeping with her is a challenge. Add in a snuggly cat and you will understand my fitful sleep. We are leaving shortly to join DD2 and friends for brunch, then will come back here. It looks like the weather will be stormy, so we will probably be eating the boiled crawfish indoors tonight.
In other news, DGS has 102 fever today with sore throat. Guess who gave his Grammie a big hug and kiss yesterday? Also, 2 kids on their track team have been diagnosed with flu. I am staying on the extra vitamin C and hoping for the best.
Wishing all a peaceful day of rest and thanks for your continued prayers!

We are also back home. We met DH's VBF for lunch and conversation. We hadn't seen each other in a couple of weeks, though they have talked and he & I have texted. He and #1 son were away for 12 days on a cruise vacation and had a fabulous time!
DH is off to Kroger to refill our f/v for the new week. Then the rest of the afternoon is ours to enjoy. We will wait and go out tomorrow to see the new puppies, and probably have dinner along the way.

Sue I totally missed the puppies post. Sheesh. Guess I read too quickly. Enjoy meeting them and your dinner along the way.
We are home and all our BJ's stuff is all separated and put away. That's just as tiresome as the actual shopping trip and travel time LOL. Kathy did a wonderful job on my fingernails. She is one special and talented technician. It's well worth the trip to and from.
Now the rest of the day (with the exception of walking LuLa) will be ours to sit back and enjoy.

My dear friend has passed on. And I have a houseful of family and guests to entertain. I cried a bit in private, re-did my makeup and will try to put on a good face. I would hate for DD2's guests to have to deal with mourning on their vacation. Thank you for your prayers and I now ask you pray for her family.
