Phyl, I forgot that you also have a Honda. Mine is a Ridgeline and it does have a topper. It's used...or preowned as they like to say now. I'm glad you got that kit for yourself. You'll have a good time making it. And your friend Peggy will enjoy learning to quilt and the quilts she makes
CJ, I'm glad to hear you're having good weather. The wind has come up here so now it's horribly windy and blowing all the snow around. I've never thought of baking carrots in those little bags. I might even have some around here somewhere but maybe I used them. If I do have them they're severely outdated so I'll have to toss them anyway but I may have to look into getting more. I have tried roasting carrots several times and they turned out just ok not great.
I finished dh's pillow and he likes it. Now on to other things.

Hello Crafters It's very quiet in our thread. Hope everyone is doing well and getting in some crafting. I went to the Amish market this morning and picked up a few goodies. The weather here is cloudy and cooler, but I like it. I finished typing up lists of all of my parent's things and now my siblings and I will need to figure out how to distribute them or what to do with them. I'd sure like to get that done this year some time, so hopefully we can. No crafting for me, but hopefully someday Take care everyone!

Hello to CJ and Ginny and anyone else that stops in or reads
I don't know what happened with my day but I have not accomplished much. I started out ok. I got yarn together for the bunnies I want to make and started one but then dh got up and we visited for quite awhile. Then I came downstairs to do some crocheting and ended up reading. Now dh has this brilliant idea about moving our large storage shed from one part of our lot to another that is not very close to where it is now and it's also uphill. He things renting a forklift and moving it ourselves is a good idea. I think it's a horrible idea so I suggested just getting another shed and have it put in the spot he wants one in and I think I might have him conviced so hopefully they don't cost too much because I REALLY don't want him moving this big one. I have visions already of it falling off the forklift and breaking or the whole forklift tipping over and crushing dh to death
Now I have his pills all set up for two weeks and will maybe go back to my bunny I started. I want to have them done and ready by Wed when I plan to go over to dd's house to take her her bday gifts and will take these for her to give to dggd for Easter
CJ, I'm glad you got some goodies from the Amish market. They always sound so good.
Ginny, hope the day of babysitting goes well and also that you have a chance to stop in here. '

Good morning!
The week has gone well, although I'm not sure where the time went! Yesterday I went to quilting. One of the members is leaving for Prague and then will be going on a river cruise!
We've had six inches of snow. There may be more next week. We've also had rain and two huge booms of thunder. Spring is trying to get here.

Ginny. I'm so sorry to hear all the kids are sick. I hope they're well soon. Sadly, as soon as they start going to school or daycare they're exposed to all kinds of illnesses.
Sue, good to see you. We got hardly any snow here and now it's all melting and I'm happy about that. I agree about the time. This week has really passed by quickly and the whole month has gone fast already.
It's very sunny here today. The saleswoman never did bring my car on Wed and yesterday was her day off so I just emailed to find out if she could tell me approx when she would bring it so that I would be upstairs here where I could hear her when she arrived. Meanwhile I'll sit here in the sun and absorb some rays. See you all later

Ok, I feel hopelessly lost in space here and will catch up piecemeal.
Ruth, getting another shed sounds like a much better idea than moving a shed uphill. Funny, my Dh also wants to move a shed, but I think the total distance to move is about 30 feet. It would be nice if your car was delivered....customer service is so appreciated when it is offerred.
Sue, II have heard that the Prague cruise is quite lovely....glad you got to your quiltig group. Is your Dh’s caregiver healthy and able to help out once more? Yes, spring is on a slow crawl forward for all of us. I will take this instead of instant summer.
CJ- you get an A+ for getting the list typed up of your parents belongings. I hope that everyone decdes equitably what they want and also does not interfere with you if you have to get rid of certain items. Glad you are enjoying the cooler weather. How far did you have to venture to get to the Amish market? I wish we had one closer to us than. 3 1/2 hours!
Got all of the fabric cut for the center star of the quilt and the frst block. Also started the very beginning of the first block assembly- but had to stop because it was almost dinner time. Hope to get back to it this weekend.
DGD#2 is the most sick- she has a fever and is on advil. Right now she is happy and pleasant. As long as the advil is working that is! DGD#1 and DGS are obviouslly not feeling 100% but are easy enough to be with. Hi to Phyl and anyone I missed. Gotta check out what the kids are up to G

We did find a shed that is the same as the one we have now except it;s a little bit smaller which is what we want and a good price so no shed moving is going to happen, The one he wanted to move and uphill was a 10x16. No word from the saleswoman but dgd messaged and said she's in town from Montana and wants to come and visit tomorrow with "little house wrecker" aka my great grandson. He's 2 and I haven't seen him in a year but at that time he wasn't a very well behaved child. So I have to get all the dangerous stuff moved and find some toys to keep him occupied. Dh is taking a nap now or I'd ask him if he would rather just go over there. We don't like to go out on weekends but that may be better than them coming here and we were going to go over there on Wed anyway. It's dd's bday and we were going to take her presents and our car that she wants so I wrapped the gifts.

Hello Crafters Ginny - Sorry to hear the GKs are sick, hope they are better soon. I'm glad you were able to start on your first block. The Amish market I go to is about 45 minutes away. It would probably be better if it was farther so I couldn't get there easily Sue - Hope you don't get too much more snow. I always thought one of those River Cruises in Europe would be nice. Phyl - Hope you didn't get too much snow from this storm. Meg - Hope you and your DD are doing well and that you can check in sometime. Betty - Hope you are well and getting in some crafting. Ruth - I'm so relieved for you that your DH isn't going to try to move the shed and that you found another one. Like you said, there was a lot of potential for him to get hurt. Check out this interesting idea - a crocheted ruffled boot cuff, I thought you might like to see it Ruth. I'm sure you could figure it out without a pattern, I wonder if pre-teen girls would like it: jadedspadecreations.com/product/ruffled-boot-cuff-pattern/I went to a local quilt shop today that had recently relocated. They still have a lot of things that haven't been put away and they moved from a larger space to a smaller space so it was very crowded in there. It's too bad because I don't think the owner is going to be able to improve the flow of the store much and it was difficult and crowded looking at fabric. I did find a few pieces of fabric though. I'd been looking for a wood-look fabric for shelves on a quilt of vegetable and fruit jars that I've been wanting to make for several years, and I found a fabric I can use. The quilt will look something like this, but larger: www.etsy.com/listing/511622039/canning-jars-kitchen-wall-quilt-kit-18x?ga_order=most_relevant&ga_search_type=all&ga_view_type=gallery&ga_search_query=jar+quilt+pattern&ref=sr_gallery-1-2&frs=1I want to use a pink and white gingham check fabric for the lids though, like some of the Ball jar lids are. It's mild but raining here this afternoon and we're supposed to get rain tonight and into tomorrow. Take care everyone!

Good evening!
Ruth, good news that you located a shed and Dh will not have to move the other one. (He is a pack rat, isn’t he?). I totally agree with CJ- the concept of moving a shed sure sounds hazardous. A new shed is easier and noone gets hurt. For the sake of a rambuncious 2 year old, you are probably better off going to Dd’s if you can. Its a challenge babyproofing a house, but I give you a ton of credit for even considering doing so. My MIL never put away ANY of her beloved knick knacks, so I was constantly on my feet to keep our kids (who were pretty well behaved, but normal kids) from breaking anything cause she was too inconsiderate to relocate a few items for a few hours.
CJ- the mason jar quilt is SO ADORABLE!!! Cannot say that I would make one for myself, but the concept is so darned cute. Yes I can easilly see why you like it and why you would want to make it. For the jar contents, will you attempt to find fruit/vegetable fabrics or use the right color and try to get the essence of what is in each jar? I have seen those boot toppers on students and think they are adorable. Leave it to some crafter to come up with a pattern. Yup, with all the grands Ruth has, I bet she makes some of those for her DGD’s!
Wish an Amish market was 45 minutes from us.....although there might be a small one about 90 minutes from here. We are home now, and I gotta say the kids, despite all 3 being a bit under the weather were really good. I got DGD#2 out for a nice long stroller walk- the weather was good enough to do that and I always thought the fresh air was good for even kids who did not feel well. (And all she had to do was sit in the stroller and could rest). For Dd’s sake, I am glad she is off for 10 days with Easter break. Hopefully her kids can get rid of all the colds and whatever they have been plagued this winter.
Yes, CJ thanks for the reminder about Betty and Meg, both of whom are missed. I am sure that Phyl is out there bummin’ or pursuing another quilt shop. Sue, hope all is well with you. Ginny

CJ, the quilt is really nice. Thanks for giving us a peek at what your's is going to look like. I love the boot cuffs too but not sure if I'll be making any because I don't know if my dgc wear boots. The boot cuffs seem to be very popular with young people from pretteen to young adults. None of my family has mentioned them though.
Ginny, although my dh is truly a packrat, the shed we already have doesn't have much in it.That's one of the reasons he wanted to move it and when I said just buy another he said well the old one doesn't even have much in it. Well it's worth it to me to just buy another rather than take chances. I do have plans for moving a lot of the stuff that's taking up all the garage space into these sheds then maybe I could actually use the garage for at least one of the cars. I do hope that if your dh really does move your shed that it's on level ground and he has a good and safe way to do that. Yes it's great that your dd has the next 10 days off. That's one thing I always liked about NY schools is that they actually have an Easter vacation not a spring break that's no where near Easter.
I did message my dgd and told her we would come over there but I haven't heard back. I also haven't heard from the saleswoman even though I sent that email this morning and left a voicemail.
I've been working on a bunny. They're cute It's called a pocket bunny but I haven't figured out how to highlight yet on this Chromebook so I can't copy and paste the link. I'm going to make the one that CJ gave us the link for but for next Easter. I have it on my next Easter list.

Hello Crafters - Hope you are all doing well today. Ruth - Hope you are enjoying working on your bunny. Ginny - Hope you get to go to the concert this evening. I've already had the vegetable and fruit fabrics for the jar quilt for years - probably at least 5 years or more I'd really like to get that quilt top done this year. I did pull out some of the fabrics I have for the Warm Wishes quilt and I hope to press and starch them this weekend. At least that would get me moving to start working on that quilt. The colors are all spring-like so it would be fun to work with them. But I also want to get through all my VHS tapes this weekend. I'm going to pull them all out and put them in the middle of the living room floor so I know I'll work on them. I know it will drive me crazy to see them there, so I'll have to do the work Weather here is nice after rain and a thunderstorm last night. I think we might get another thunderstorm tomorrow. Hope everyone else is well and that you get to do some crafting this weekend.

Hello all. I had just finished my message and it went into cyberspace so I'll just say that we had a full day visiting dd, several dgds, sil, and dggs who slept the whole time
Ginny I hope you enjoy the concert and CJ I hope you are able to decide what to do with all those VHS tapes.
