I'm IN.
I do NOT have to report to Federal Grand Jury today, but I will have to call after 5 PM to get my "next reporting date".
But for now, I am thankfully sipping coffee... ☕☕☕...

diva49, cute pic, MJ! Good morning. Off to my meeting this week. Scale did not look good this morning but I am going anyway. I'm hoping to be inspired. After that, more garden chores until the rains come in. KOKO.

Deb- just caught up on yesterday. So sorry to hear about the flooding. PA is a good state to move to We have snow, but that doesn't cause as much flooding. and I have Bourbon! Pretty much same old same old here today. My meeting yesterday basically turned into planning other meeting. We have 16 more days, how many meetings can these people jam into my schedule!

Those are some cute kids, diva49,. DH served on a Federal Grand Jury and called in every day for weeks and never had to go in. Guess it was a slow time for juries. No rain yesterday but chances are good for storms tonight through Saturday afternoon. I'm getting my hair cut this morning and will stop at the grocery store too. fullmahina, enjoy your meeting this morning!

Morning all! Sweet pic diva49 , A chilly, wet start here. Fingers crossed for our Texas friends - prayers you're spared any flood harm. They're forecasting some sun here next Wednesday - just wow. Heading to the pharmacy and a haircut. Hoping to do some flower potting in the garage later. Have a good day everyone.
DebDoesWW, you in PA with bourbon - what could possibly go wrong?

There are 11 people involved in our "web" of child care... the "flexibility" of this drive-to-Newark-on-call thing freaks me out (not to mention that it's NOT a good area and Amazin'Grace is 20 years old).

Good morning. I’m in. Crews will be here today to demolish the master bathroom. lmenglish I will ask them if they would like Lucy’s help—sounds like she would make short work of it, and it could start her on the path to a career as a working dog. Yesterday the plumbing and venting in the kitchen was completed. I **think** that today they will quickly demolish the existing built-in bookcase and the run the electrical for the outlet for the replacement cabinet with countertop. I updated the photo web last night—not really much to see, and it certainly doesn’t reflect the amount of work that went on yesterday. We are in for, perhaps, trivial rain today and tomorrow. Nothing like the South. Wishing everyone a great day. KYSSU

I like the description of trivial rain. Ours may be a thunderstorm or two but rain in the Sierras. I have a facial at 11:30 way across town and the periodontist at 2 p.m. My esthetician's daughter is dating a popular country western singer so she always has good stories. Deb and Heather, a friend in Charlotte just returned from a ten day bourbon tasting tour in Tennessee and Kentucky and returned with close to three dozen bottles. Most are items she could not find in local stores. Hope we all have a good day and I never want to be called for jury duty ever again. We have horrendous crimes and I know the federal grand jury is different but still not what i would want to do.

The last time I got called for jury duty my name was pulled as a possible juror.
The case was a medical malpractice case. They assembled the possible jurors at 9am and I was tossed out by 11am with a big smile on my face.
Did my civic duty.
DH loves jury duty---he thinks it's fun. He gets called all the time and always is chosen! While I think it's somewhat interesting I could happily live without it. I NEVER have been chosen but to tell the truth I might want to do it at least once to see what it's like.

He gets called all the time and always is chosen! While I think it's somewhat interesting I could happily live without it. I NEVER have been chosen but to tell the truth I might want to do it at least once to see what it's like. Toots gets called all the time, but with his hearing loss and problems "missing words" even with two hearing aids he is no longer a good candidate. He gets seated and then tells them he can't really hear/understand them (even without any "accents" to add to the challenge). I've done petit jury - got as far as being seated (not sworn in). Defendant in that (drug) case reminded me WAY too much of a former boyfriend of MissMouse who turned out to be a total louse. Told the judge/lawyers I would find it hard to believe a word coming out of this person's mouth. Got excused. This, however, is Federal Grand Jury - and I can't find ANY details about the duration, day of the week, whatever - although I've heard that it's long-duration and not always the same day of the week. I'm also called for Superior Court of NJ Grand Jury, for 7/22; that would be 18 Thursdays in a row. THAT, at least, can be planned for. Son#2, the lawyer, is jealous.

Checking in from doctor’s office. Fog and rain greeted us as we drove over this morning. Just a routine follow up visit. Fingers crossed all is well. Quiet day ahead. Have a good one everyone.
