zazzles , now you know what they call it a "Smart Phone"!! Linda, it is actually the Apple Watch 4.0 and not the iPhone that has this functionality. When they announced that feature I rushed right out to upgrade; and not surprisingly, there were other seniors there getting equipped with these watches. If I had fallen and been unconscious or unable to respond, the watch would have summoned help after a brief waiting period. Reassuring when you live alone. My neighbor behind me is in her mid 80s and she fell on her driveway. She has been living weights for years and had the strength to get up. I definitely need an upgrade from series 2.

So worth it, Audrey. With the Watch 4 you can add it as a standalone “extension” to your cell phone number and it can work on the cell network without being anywhere near your phone. So if you put your watch on but forget your phone, you’re covered. And I think it is only like $10 a month to add it to your cell service.
