Ann,
I hate, hate, hate those dreaded black flies! I am so sorry one got you. Years ago while in Maine this time of year, we made the mistake of going canoeing. I was swarmed by them and had so many bites my face was disfigured. No lie. DH, on the other hand, was not touched. I had more than one doctor's appointment after that horrible incident. For some reason, they seem to only like SOME of us. Have you noticed that? Same with the gnats and the mosquitoes! Happy relaxing and napping.
P.S. My DH was at Job Lots last night getting new doggie beds. Their other ones have had it. They are a riot and were all excited about them and posing for us in the beds. If dogs could smile, that'd be them! I think you told me about the senior discount yesterday- thanks, Ann!

Good morning all. Woke up feeling somewhat groggy due to the Benadryl I took yesterday. Today I won't take it during the day and only will take one later in the evening. The swelling is going down and it's not quite as red as it was. I'll take it.
No plans for today...will just have a lazy kick back day.
I'll CBL

Hi all, I was up and at em early today. I slept well until 7. When the pups are away, I don’t get woken up at 6 or 630 to go out and have a treat!
It is is beautiful out and I plan to get some more tidying up here in our bedroom and another one. I need to do more weeding out and sorting through paperwork, etc. Neverending, right? After the cleaning lady is done, I want to sit outside and read. having the house spic and span will lift my spirits so much. I love that feeling. So, I’m chugging along with laundry in the meantime, too.
Ann, a relaxing day is my favorite kind. I am a little worried about my DH because he works way too hard. He was beyond exhausted last night and plans to install the new dishwasher today at the Cape. He is stubborn, and he insists on doing so much himself and then he gets really frustrated when his energy levels drop or he gets short of breath. Of course, he won’t listen to me telling him to slow down. For some reason, I have no problem with doing just that! We do worry about these fellas, don’t we? All three sound a bit alike that way. Must be a male trait! Their stubborn pride often gets in the way of common sense.
Have a a great day all. I’ll bbl.

Judy I hear you LOUD AND CLEAR....most men just won't slow down plain and simple. Whenever Carl starts a heavy lifting project I bless myself! I just don't think that some men have it in then to slow down!
Me on the other hand...nobody needs to EVER twist my arm. I'l rise to the occasion and do what needs to be done and then ... once I'm done it's time to kick back!
Glad you slept well and enjoy your day (oh and laundry) LOL....I need to do that as well!

Well, mission accomplished and lots of cleaning and laundry done.
Here’s a good one for you! My DH called from the Cape and told me he discovered he can repair the old dishwasher with a new spring. But, he did not want to disappoint me if i was counting on a new machine. After a few seconds thought, we decided to just fix the old one since it’s at a summer place with not much use. This is how he rolls! Thrifty Sam but it does make sense especially when they are so expensive these days. At first I admit I was annoyed, but my logic kicked in and saving $$ won out.😄 I also did not really want him doing all that work.

Sounds like a win win, Judy. Happy he was able to fix it. I've done a lot of puttering indoors and tackled a few peojects I've been putting off. Carl is outside doing yardwork. Time to hit the shower again get comfy and relax in the screen room. Enjoy the rest of your Saturday all

Good Evening, WW Friends ~
We are back home from our birthday get-away and had a fabulous time!! It is time now to unplug and relax before bedtime. Tomorrow is back to work.
I second the conversation about the impossibility of getting our guys to slow down!! Mine was grousing at dinner about his lower energy level - until I reminded him that he had a heart attack a week ago with a cardiac cath and two stents placed - not to mention multiple pokes and probes in the five day hospitalization. He conceded that maybe that was a justifiable reason to feel more tired. Geez !!!!
I'll be back probably tomorrow to tell you all about our good time!!
