Saturday I shall rummage through the freezer for quick easy meals. Father's day Carl wants to do baby back ribs and I'll think up some healthy sides. We also have tentative plans to see Rocket Man. Other than that, the usual same ol'

Y'all enjoy the show if you go.
I plan to do as I know to do and remember to drink my water.
Hope AWF have a great day!

I loved Rocketman and the way it was done. Ann, I hope you like it too. Ann, Bob will also be grilling ribs with corn on the cob and I will make a summer salad. Bee, you’ll do fine. It’smy last day here and I have a 2 hour geoit all together to stay motivated class plus a facial and an individualized exercise plan from an exercise physiologist . We are having a group dinner at 5:45. I will take my 45 minutes morning walk and I hope I can get in time in the jacuzzi. I fly home at noon Sunday.

Thursday stayed up late after trip to Beirut - delayed plane - slept at 4am - had to unwind after the crazy night drive. Today we had Knafee (arabic sweets) and coffee. Tomorrow we go to Beirut to see a couple of museums

Enjoy the show if you go Ann. Several coworkers are absolutely RAVING about it. I'm doing ribs today Bee - Water will be critical for me today Enjoy your last day Audrey. Hope it is both relaxing and productive. Rest when you can Cathy. Sounds like it could be a whirlwind visit. Carol came back to the house after we walked the dogs. We proceeded to polish off a bottle of really tasty wine while hanging out on the deck. <<<sigh>>> Fortunately we don't do that often so no regrets. Off to walk Charlie to feed thrals. Early afternoon I am picking up my oldest friend (since we were 4!) and her husband who moved not to far away over the winter. We are slowly trying to find common ground again after a falling out 7 years ago. Carol will join us for dinner. She is disabled, they have no car and limited resources so I will pick them up and drive them home in the morning as wine is likely to be involved tonight. Keeping options open.

56* and heading for the low 80*s today; sunny and breezy. Good gardening weather.
WW workshop at 8 AM. We have our WW Friends Breakfast scheduled for afterward but I think I am going to beg off. I don't have it in me to be sociable and chatty (esp after getting the news about Pop Lockman this morning). I just want to come home and maybe do some computer stuff with the Kressling, who stayed over after last night's flag ceremony.
Son#2 has invited both sets of grands to The Plantation tomorrow for a Father's Day BBQ. Monday there are two "graduations" - MousekeTWO from preschool at 9 AM and K'ling2 from 5th grade at 11 AM. Timing is tight, but we should be able to get to both.
Need coffee ☕☕☕...
🌿🌹🌿🌹🌿🌹🌿🌹🌿 Have a healthy-eating day, all. 🌿🌹🌿🌹🌿🌹🌿🌹🌿

Good morning all. LOL Bee, I think I'll chomp on 'temptations' as well Audrey enjoy the last of the spa. Cathy enjoy the museums. Susi sometimes 'wine happens' Enjoy Carole and your friend. MJ Keeping dear Bsis FIL in my thoughts and prayers. Good luck at weight watchers. I'm sure your friends will understand you not going with them. As for me, I got a text message from the couple and they have to cancel out. Her DD was rushed into the ER after a fall. We can always reschedule and go at a later date. Waving to all and will CBL

Gooood morning
Posting got away from me yesterday, but I read the personals from yesterday. LOL. So, I at least feel, somewhat in the loop.
Ann Love your BBQ plans for Sunday. Carl at the grill is a good thing!
Mom's status & location is in flux. So far, mom is still in the long term care (LTC) section. No changes yet in her room location. The facility encourages intermixing of LTC and assisted living residents for meals & activities. That will be a good thing. She will not lose whatever connections that she is making.
Audrey What a wonderful experience you had. Great opportunity to access professionals who could solely focus on you Nd your health.
Becky Yes, I can understand steering clear of WM on the weekends! Glad that you are now fully provisioned. Do you & your DH travel to Austin for any events?
Bee j ((Hugs)). So true, that those who have passed can live in the heart & memories of loved ones I was just thinking about you and your DS, his shrimp feats, and Salt Mountain this week.
LOL... chomping. . .
Cathy Oh my. . . that was a rugged start to your DD's visit. Hope that you have a great day together. Wishing you lots of laughs & good times.
Mj Sending lots of prayers for your your BIL's dad, BIL, SIL, and all who are touched by his end-of-life. Bless the hospice care providers who do so much to support their patients and the families. Praying that peace and comfort enters into the hearts of Pop and all who love him.
Enjoy your extra time w/ Kressling.
Yes, it is hard to be social & chatty when your energy is low and you are hurting for others.
Pam Good to get those everyday errands accomplished like pharmacy pick ups and then shift to focusing on having a blue dot day.
Susi LOL. . . I am pretty sure that ther was a study revealing that wine consumed w/ a DS on a patio is metabolized fast, and thus has less of a caloric wallop. Now, mind you, the story was featured in the National Enquirer. My sister K & I went to a local restaurant for drinks Lon Fri afternoon. She had two Mojhitos and I drank Diet Coke. But we talked about shifting the family dynamic and taking care of ourselves. Sister & dear girl friends are a blessing for sure andcertain. . Have a pleasant time w/ your friend & her husband.

Okey dokey My weight is up 2.2 lbs for the entire, super stressful month. And some of that reflects salty food the night before. I am Okay w/ that. Today I will LIVE a healthier life, instead of intending to live a healthier life.
Re family dynamic Am closing the chapter on that phase in my life. I did what I could to help my parents stay in their place together as long as I could. Neither my oldest sister, nor my brother wanted to believe that our parents needed as much time & attention. It "fit" in what they wanted to believe and the limited, social nature of their relationship w/ our parents.

(((hugs))) June. You have done what all that you can do. Feel good about that. Your DM remains in my prayers. The stress you were under for the month was certainly over the top. Sending peaceful and soothing vibes your way.
Yesterday we had a wonderful lasagna meal. My weight was only up .2 as I had over 15,000 steps which I'm sure helped balance things out.

Morning got off to a lovely start. Coffee and several chapters in the book I started yesterday then another long bike ride. Toe is feeling better but I don't think its quite ready for power walks yet. I'm going to cook a small meal for DD to have food to take to work tonight then a little retail therapy later...love long weekends!! I was OP yesterday other than the wine I drank last night while sitting outside with DH while he cooked boiled pnuts. He was drinking mich ultra's. We had a really nice time talking and laughing. I've had a healthy breakfast and being OP the rest of the day will be a priority. I weighed this morning and I'm most grateful that for a great while I've been maintaining my weight. I'd love to lose another 20 pounds or so but for right now I'm just thankful not to gain back what I worked so hard to lose. I've certainly been guilty of that in the past. Thanks to all of you for the part you play in keeping me on track Ann, ribs sound good! Not sure what I'm going to cook yet - Bee, that's what I'm going to do too Audrey, have a safe trip home..the jacuzzi sounds wonderful! Cathy, enjoy the museums and DD MJ, sorry to hear about DSs father in law hugs and prayers June, I'm so sorry you didn't get more support from your siblings but you sure did step up to the plate and I know your parents appreciated it...your mom will be in my thoughs and prayers as well as you and Richard. Susi, enjoy girls night! sounds fun...love the pics of the deck waving to the rest of the crew...cbl

Ann The Fathers Day meal sounds good.I am sorry about your friends DD.Enjoy your day.
Bee You will do fine.
Audrey Enjoy your last day at the resort.
Cathy Enjoy your time with DD.
Susi Wine is always good.I hope you and your oldest friend can pick up where you left off.
MJ Sending prayers for DBabySis's DFIL.Enjoy your busy weekend.
June I'm glad the LTC encourages mingling with the 2 wings so your mom won't lose any connections she has made.We don't normally buy groceries at Walmart.Neither of us like to do grocery shopping in our HEB on the weekend which is a TX food chain.DH does not drive to Austin since he had his stroke 9 years ago.It is no wonder you had that small gain with all the stress you have been under. You should feel good about all you have done for your parents. Now it's time to take care of (((June))).It was the same way in our family with my parents. Two of us took up the slack while the other 2 came to visit when they could.
