Rene, you have Whataburgers in La., Ms., Al. and Florida. We used to have one in our town, but it only lasted a few years.

Rene They are keeping their San Antonio corporate office open. From what I heard on the news the only difference will be it will not longer be family owned.

They better not mess with Whataburger. JJ Watt, who plays for the Texans football team, had this to say: “OK, I say we all chip in and buy Whataburger back," Watt wrote on Twitter. "Make honey butter biscuits available all day, add kolaches to the menu and change nothing else. Especially not the ketchup.”AMEN!

My mom has one near her house. It is honestly to me one of the worst fast food places ever. Like sonic.

I had never heard of Whataburger until I went to Florida last fall, and my grandson raved about it. My daughters and I ate at one during that time. None of us were impressed.

There has been a huge increase in burger emporiums in the SF Bay Area. In fact, a gourmet burger emporium, Grub, recently opened within walking distance of my house. We have Habit Burger, Super Duper Burger, In & Out (of course), Smashburger, The Counter, and more. So Whataburger, if they expand to this area, will be yet another place to buy a burger.
Is it coincidence that I’ve been eating more burgers over the past year or so? I think not!

We've had Whataburger in AZ for as long as I can remember. I've never tried it.

You must have had a bad location, the ones here are fantastic Even on WW I'd have the Chicken monterey melt and a side salad. On low-carb, I have the chicken or beef monetrey melt, no bun and a side salad, still good lol

I ate at a Whataburger in Texas and it was okay. I wouldn't go out of my way to go to Whataburger but I wouldn't say no to going again either.
I got the Patty Melt (totally unaware of how many calories that thing packs!) and it was way bigger than I expected and I remember being pleased by it. Not like a NY diner Patty Melt but even so, it was good.
My favorite part is how they bring your food to your table. I was with relatives and I think I said "Oh that's nice!" with a big smile on my face, lol. What can I say...I'm easy. I guess I liked that you didn't have to do the fast food tray balancing act while trying to find a table.

We ate at one on our road trip from Santa Fe to Houston. I don't remember where it was. It was just okay. Couldn't hold a candle to In n Out.

Mike I love In n Out, Habit Burger and the Counter. If whataburger ever tried to compete with any of those they'd be out of business before they know it!
