Sunday's goals Decide what dinner will be. Lunch is leftover chicken w/ rice & a vegetable. Take a bubble bath. celebrate my great fortune in having had my dad & FIL in my life. Be grateful that I have so many heartwarming memories of my dad. That will be my focus on today when my mind drifts or my heartstrings tug. I am at as good as of place that I can be. He truly lived a full life. I truly have no regrets.
Focus on Canada vacation preparations. Just need to make sure that I have all the extras bits like premeasured & bagged flour for beer batter fish. Talk R out of his idea of shrink wrapping containers. Like no border inspector would wonder what is inside... Another worm story. . . In our many trips to Canada, we have only been stopped one time by a new border inspector. Once he heard that we had live bait, he had to inspect the worms to make sure that they were in special bedding rather than dirt. The inspector who had to look at our worm cooler was not happy w/ his eager beaver helper. He grumbled-- loudly-- about how unnecessary it was. Made us wonder how many extra exams he had been performing. Lots! That was our guess, because our worm inspection took all of 1 minute.

AND thanks for your end-of-life prayers for DBabySis' father-in-law. He passed away Saturday morning; she will be making funeral arrangements today.

68* and heading for the mid 80*s today. Cloudy with T-storms forecast for this afternoon & evening. We are heading to The Plantation for 2 PM for a BBQ - we eat in his screened porch so it's only Son#2 the grill master who might be out in the rain doing his signature burgers. Fortunately, the grill is very close to the garage side door...
Yesterday's WW workshop was <meh>. The Coach reviewed the last two weeks' topics <!!!> before moving on to "Ace Summer Parties" - which sort of fell flat. And at the end she asked us again what WE want to talk about. I struggle with that. Our group of friends is of mixed opinions about the coach's efficacy. I did go to WW Breakfast, after the headache/antihistamine pills took hold, and that was fun.
Then I came home and fed the Kressling, who had to be at the Zigster's final soccer game at noon. We watched most of that game and I got some hugs in on the Zigster and K'ling2, and had a good talk with DDIL. The 5th grade promotion ceremony (scheduled for Monday at 11) is weather-sensitive - that's going to make things really crazy since the forecast for the next few days is dicey. But we'll do the best that we can (note to self: must find cards - all THREE of those Boyz are "movin'UP" this year - to high school, middle school, and first grade).
Toots is still sawin' wood. Funny boy.
Need more coffee βββ...
πΏπΉπΏπΉπΏπΉπΏπΉπΏ Have a healthy-eating day, all. πΏπΉπΏπΉπΏπΉπΏπΉπΏ

Mj What a great photograph of you and your dad. Sending many prayers for Mouseketeer. Maybe the summer break will give everyone space and time to foster helpful changes. Hope you have a fun BBQ for the family Father's Day celebration.

Sending many prayers for Mouseketeer. Maybe the summer break will give everyone space and time to foster helpful changes. Unfortunately, events during the week of June 3-7 have made a simple "summer break" solution impossible. Although he is certainly looking forward to Friday 6/21 (last day of school).

Our sun is breaking through. We have a sunbeam, too! I'm going to stop everything and go sit in it, just in case it's my one chance for the day! BTW... someone commented on how wonderfully tan I look - I was shocked. I don't seek out tanning, but I think it's Daddy's Lithuanian genes (Eugene's genes, LOL) that let me brown'UP with just a brief time in the sun. 10 minutes here, 15 minutes there, yard work or soccer-watching or YM outdoor ceremony...
