Good Morning, WW Friends ~
Happy Hump Day!! Things are going well around here except that DH is having difficulty opening his morning paper on his tablet. He has read it on there for several years and for some reason it went poof! I have tried uninstalling it and reinstalling it to no avail. I tried turning it off to no avail. Now I have both uninstalled it AND turned it off and we'll see. I checked all the settings and nothing has changed, so I am baffled! Yesterday I let him read it on my tablet and today I downloaded the app on my tablet I use as a Kindle, so he can read it on there if he wants to. I know he would rather read it on his own tablet, but I am just about out of things to pull out of my hat (unless I find a bunny) LOL.
We FINALLY have summer! It will be in the mid 80's the next few days with lows only in the 60's (which is one of my favorite types of weather). I did a much-put-off chore this morning of removing the glass panes from our front screen/storm door and washing them. I only put one back in the bottom and stored the other one. We have a full length screen outside the panes. With two stacked up they got to looking unsightly and today was a good day since I am getting my nails done tomorrow (in case I broke one).
Today I need to go to Meijer and grocery shop. My Costco trip went very well yesterday and I was pleased to find everything I was looking for. I also got a bag of 1/3 lb sirloin patties (that were on sale) to make hamburgers during the summer. I recently stocked up on 1/3 lb turkey burger patties so we are all set for quick meals. In fact DH asked for hamburgers tonight, and I think I will pick up some corn and I already have some cole slaw. I am saving my easiest meal for tomorrow when I have a late afternoon nail appointment - leftover Jet's pizza and a salad.
I enjoyed my time reading yesterday and am just about in the middle of my current book. I also checked on BookBub and downloaded a couple more so I don't run out <LOL> I also have to make a side trip to my school to turn in my time sheet. Since it is Summer AND Child Care, we are using paper time sheets instead of our usual online one. I think I will sack up the donations pile that is growing in my den and drop it off at the Hope Center while I'm going by there. So it is time for me to get moving.
BBL. Make a great day!!

Sue it's so frustrating when things like that happen. I too prefer to read on my own tablet desktop or phone. Hopefully it will solve the problem itself LOL to pulling a bunny out of a hat!!!! We just came back from a walk that took us longer than I anticipated. Seems like everyone was out and had a case of the gabs. Not many steps in, but a lot of fun conversation! Great job on getting the donations pile off to Hope Center! We dropped off a boatload of items that were in the trunk of our car last week. Always a good feeling. Time to get lunch prepared. Later

Good evening!
I spent most of today in BTR. I had an Alzheimer's inservice at the Alzheimer's Association office, which I attend quarterly. We saw an awesome video Alzheimer's: The Caregiver's Perspective. (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CcBH077AEm8) It brought me to tears several times as I recalled caring for my mom during her last couple of years. I am going to highly recommend it to my caregiver support group.
After that, I had time to kill before my credit union meeting at 4:30 pm. I went to Steinmart and browsed around. I found a pair of white ankle pants and a blouse that I liked and bought them. Then I went next door to Micheal's and bought a small sketch pad and some drawing pencils to bring to the new hospice patient I saw the past two weeks. He mentioned to me that he wished he had a pad and pencils and would "just see what might happen". He apparently had a TIA on Sunday, so I'm not sure if he will use them, but I thought it was worth a try. After that, I drove to the credit union and listened to my audio book in the parking lot until meeting time. We had dinner at Zea's Rotisserie & Grill and I got ribs with roasted potatoes and sugar snap peas. I brought 1/2 home and will probably get 2 lunches from it if I supplement with sliced tomatoes.
I have nothing on the calendar for tomorrow, so will try to do some housework. We are supposed to meet an old friend for dinner at Hottails. We have been friends since our early married years. In fact, his brother was one of our groomsmen. He reached out to us recently after seeing DH's name in some of the cultural district news.
Sue - I feel for your DH. My newspaper suddenly decided I would have to pay for a subscription to continue reading it online. I held out for about a month and then decided it was worth it to pay. Yours sounds more like a technical problem, though. I hope your methods work!
Ann - Isn't it nice to live in a place where folks are friendly and want to chat? If my yoga classes get discontinued, I think I will try to join up with some women in our neighborhood who walk on weekday afternoons.
Judy - I hope your DD & DGKs made the trip okay. Have a wonderful time and make some good memories!

Good morning all. God a good sleep in. Our weather was very humid yesterday. We had a horrible thunderstorm later in the evening and that cooled it down a tad. Today is overcast but supposed to burn off. Hopefully it will. Pam enjoy getting together with your friends. It's always nice to play catch up. Nice that you found an outfit and picked up something for your new hospice patient. Sad that he had a TIA. Will keep him in my prayers. Today is my bday and we are getting together with another couple. Carl scheduled an oil change and tire rotation, so that will be done while we are eating. Looking forward to eating out Judy safe travels. Waving and will CBL

Good Morning, WW Friends ~ Happy Thursday!! I am fixing poached eggs for breakfast with grits for me and toast for DH. I was up early so filled my first hour with emptying the dishwasher, making DH's lunch, and starting breakfast. I have the fruit bowls (cantaloupe, pineapple, strawberries and blueberries) all cut up and ready. Ann ~ Happy Birthday!! Hope you have a wonderful day!! Pam ~ I feel your pain about your newspaper. We have had a paid subscription for ages now since we discontinued all but Sunday home delivery, so I just take it for granted now. They automatically bill our credit card monthly and then on Sunday morning we also get a paper edition. Good job on the new outfit! I thought we had the newspaper snafu on DH's tablet fixed last night. We uninstalled some programs that he doesn't use and reinstalled the newspaper app. It worked last night then this morning it opened up and he was reading and discovered that he was reading an old edition (June 2nd) and then it wouldn't reopen in today's edition. I just handed him my tablet to read on while I cooked breakfast, and it worked. I will assess his tablet after he leaves, as he doesn't have much patience with technology. Judy ~ I just know you are having a wonderful time!! and making lots of happy memories. I got my Meijer shopping done yesterday (and cashed in a $10 coupon). I grilled sirloin burgers for dinner and they were delicious!! They are 10 SP each, but I chose my breakfast and lunch accordingly and ended my day with SP left over. I love that I can do that!! My scale was down again this morning. I also grilled a batch of chicken breast tenders to have in the fridge. Those save my life sometimes! I got a Shoe Carnival email a couple of days ago, so I went online and took advantage of the B1G150% offer as well as $10 off. I have received emails that my Puritan's Pride vitamin order will arrive tomorrow; and my new sandals will arrive Saturday. I went through my closet yesterday and donated 2 pair of sandals (and threw away a couple that were too worn). I dropped off two bags of clothing as well as 2 pair of sandals (still in their original boxes) at the Hope Center on my way home from dropping off my time sheet at school. I am going to give myself a pedicure this morning and repaint my toenails. I am meeting my work partner for lunch today, then coming back home to prep supper before going to get my nails done at 4:30. Supper tonight will be leftover Jet's pizza and salad. BBL. Make a great day!!

Thank you for the bday wish, Pam. We just got home a little while ago. Had to stop and pick up miss LuLa at our neighbors and ended up visiting with them. I'm exhausted. Tomorrow is my ultra sound, so going to shut down now and relax. Again, thanks

Hi everyone! Happy birthday, Ann!! I enjoyed reading posts but haven’t had a moment to write personals.
We are having so much fun, lots of laughs and busy times with the dgks and DD. The weather has been great. DH put up a good sized blow up pool for the DGKs and a great swing on a tree. Yesterday we went to Edaville Railroad, a fun theme park with Thomas the Tank and lots of rides. Dgs is obsessed with trucks, trains , cars and boats. . Lol. We have also had a couple great dinners out. Lobsters, scallops and clams and we grilled steak one night too.
DH is headed home for a day today to do a couple things and then pick up our DSIL at the airport tomorrow. DD and I will go to swim lessons with the dgks and then the beach. It sure is go go go with a 2 and 5 year old and at times a blur but loads of fun. They are precious. I do fall into bed exhausted each night!
I’m thinking of all of you and will write more when I can. I am maintaining my weight which is a win now. Extra activity helps!!

Good morning all!
Judy - I'm so glad to hear things are going well and you are having so much fun. I know, from recent experience with DD3's visit, that you are truly exhausted by evening and ready for the little darlings to go to sleep so the adults can have some peace and quiet. And you are just as happy to be greeted by their hugs and smiles the next morning. Enjoy!
Ann - I'm glad you had a good birthday. I am keeping you in prayer today and hope the MRI gets you one step closer to resolution of your problem.
Sue - I love a good burger! I wore a pair of sandals at the camp Saturday that were probably 25 years old. As I drove home from shopping, I noted a black chunk of something on the floor of the car and thought DH must have dropped it. After I parked, I realized it was the heel of my sandal. The entire sole was cracked and falling apart. Needless to say, they went into the trash! I just received a birthday coupon from DSW, so may see what I can find there. I will also check out Shoe Carnival online with your coupon code.
I went to early Mass and spent some quiet time with the Lord afterwards. I had yogurt and fruit for breakfast when I got back. I have gained 3.3 lbs. over the past 2 weeks, so need to get back on track immediately and with vigor. In a few minutes I will head to town for a yoga class. Not much else going on today.
We really enjoyed catching up with our long-time friend last evening. We ended up ordering several of the happy hour appetizers and having that as our dinner, instead of ordering entrees. I was very happy with bbq shrimp and fried duck legs, while DH and DF concentrated on fried mushrooms and boudin balls. DH and I had popcorn later as we watched a couple of episodes of Bosch on Amazon Prime.
Wishing all of you a great OP day!

Hi girls. Finally back home again. WE picked up pizzas for George and Sheila for taking care of LuLa and sat and chatted with them.
Actually it wasn't an MRI that I had.....I was mistaken it was an ultra sound. My mistake LOL. The radiologist will call the plastic surgeon with the results...she did say that he may want to schedule me for an MRI as that will show more. I'll leave that decision up to him.
Pam we are also enjoying Bosch via Amazon Prime.
Time to relax....talk tomorrow. I thank you again for your prayers.

Good morning all. Woke up to overcast. Happy that the rain has stopped for now. Today will be spent doing house work and laundry. We are having company Sunday and I want to spiff things up a bit. Hopefully I'll get some me time in with my kindle. Wishing y'all a happy and OP Saturday! I also need to call my sister as today is her bday.

Good Morning, WW Friends ~
Happy Saturday!! We woke to a beautiful sunshine day here. I just checked and it is only in the upper 70's and the high is only predicted to be in thelow 80's with only 80 tomorrow. I think I will open up the windows and give the A/C a rest for a few days. Much as I appreciate it, I do enjoy the fresh air.
Yesterday was a very tiring day. Probably started by waking up an hour early and getting up and starting my day. Then I spent 6 hours with a bunch of 3rd graders including two hours spent with two of our boys manning the Bake Sale table out in the main lobby. They were very entertaining and did a great job "selling" our products and handling the money (though I watched every transaction). I released them when their class went for the Sweet Reads book mobile and popsicles. They ate their treat before they came back indoors, and brought their books back so I got to read some to/with them. We ran completely out of baked goods before our shift was over, so by the time I was ready to go home we were able to close up for the day.
I was unusually tired when I got home. I called DH and he could hear it in my voice. His VBF's #2 son had texted me with an invite to their house for his dad's famous Chicken Parm (a favorite) and I decided I was just too tired to participate. DH was in agreement and we spent a quiet evening at home. I grilled some tilapia which we had with broccoli/grape tomato/feta salad that I had made in the morning. So even the unplanned slice of pizza I enjoyed at lunch time left me with SP leftover. I tried to stay up to watch TV with DH but ended up giving up by 9:30 and went to bed. I slept in some this morning which helped.
Today I have a few errands to run which I may get done early and then get back to my book. I am in a very good part and have about an hour left to finish it. I went on Amazon and downloaded a couple more books so I have some waiting in the wings. <LOL>
BBL. Make a great day!!
