Good morning all. Thanks for getting us started, Pam. Now we'll all be posting on the 'same page' Judy good to hear from you. LOL on the fur and congratulations on being down a few #'s. Sounds like you are so enjoying your time at the Cape. Today is going to be very hot. I'll walk...but much later in the day. I've been 'holding my own' with the weight and for that I'm most grateful. Will pop in later to see what y'all are up to. Keep cool!

Good Morning, WW Friends ~
Happy Monday!!
Judy ~ Good to hear from you from the Cape. I know you’re having a wonderful time. Sounds like you have a quiet day today before the company starts arriving. Also sounds like you are ready!! Enjoy and make lots of happy memories. Congrats on being down a couple of lbs. Keep up the good work!
Ann ~ I am not a gardener at all …. Just got a few easy-to-grow things and we already have pots in the garage and DH stocked up on Miracle Grow potting soil and voila! We appear to know what we’re doing! We are lucky to have a Greenhouse nearby with a lovely lady owner and she has helped me choose flowers over the years and I’ve actually learned a bit. The most important thing I learned was that the flowers that are displayed outdoors prefer sunshine and the ones that are indoors do not. Our front porch faces North and is covered, so I need a shade-preferring plant for there and the begonia is perfect.
Pam ~ Thanks for getting us opened up this morning and moreso thanks for remembering to put a “forward” on last week’s thread. That will make it easier for all of us to be on the same page. You’re the best!!
Yesterday ended up being quite warm indeed by day’s end, but the ceiling fan in the living room kept us quite comfortable and the one in the bedroom did the same thing overnight. I am delaying starting up the A/C as long as possible. It’s not that I don’t appreciate it, but I by far prefer the open windows. Right now I can hear my wind chimes on the front porch and it is a delightful sound.
We have rain promised today and I need to make a Costco trip. I may start laundry instead and do Costco when it isn’t raining (like tomorrow?).
BBL. Make a great day!!

Sue nice that you have a knowledgeable gal to help with the flowers. Don't blame for saving Costco when you have better weather. Happy laundry lol. Carl is outside doing some yard work and I need to make a few phone calls before I claim this national day of rest Enjoy all.

Ann ~ I applaud your term "national day of rest" <LOL>. I have started laundry, made bed, done up breakfast dishes and gotten dressed. It is still grey and dreary outside but not raining yet. I think laundry will be my biggest project for today.
I paid some bills (online) and balanced the checkbook and placed a Puritan's Pride vitamin order. They sent me an email about a $10 off offer but when I checked it it had ended yesterday. THEN I got another email that said "on second thought ...." and they extended the offer. I'll take it!! So I stocked up on some favorites and tried a couple of new things that I needed. Win-win.
I have a brand new book ready to start and Strawberry waffles all ready to put together for supper with turkey sausage. My plan for today is to keep it low. DH brought home DQ Blizzards for us yesterday - and I ate half of mine and will finish it tonight. That will be my splurge for this week but still not over my SP.

Sue your 'splurge' sounds delightful. Yeah you for scoring the $10 off on your vitamins. That put a smile on my face.
Carl is still 'out there' doing yard work. How he can take the heat is beyond me.
The annoying phone calls I had to make are one and done! Now I'm ready to sit inside with the AC on and read. I want to finish my book before it gets poofed!

Good morning all. Well, so much for my 'laid back day' yesterday. A friend of mine just bought a vivofit 4 and wanted to try it out. We went to an outdoor mall and walked up a storm! When all was said and done, I had over 20,000 steps and had swollen feet and ankles. I won't be doing that anytime soon. I'm sure the newness will wear off LOL.
We are supposed to get rain today. Nothing pressing in the agenda. Just more of the same.
Will pop in later.

Good Morning, WW Friends ~
Happy Tuesday!! I have today and tomorrow off work and yet I have plenty to do. I did laundry ALL DAY yesterday but the baskets are all empty now (for the moment). I opted to stay home yesterday and I'm glad now that I did. I had finished my book from the weekend and started a new one.
Today we are getting a late start. DH slept in a bit and then he cooked breakfast and now I need to get showered and dressed and head out to Costco to shop. I have quite a list formed and I'm out of my allergy meds and before I have a flare-up I need to restock.
I have a leftover pork sirloin tip roast in the fridge, and a sweet potato waiting, and some very fresh asparagus that DH brought home from Up North. He brought some home last Spring as well and we loved it - AND I found (and tweaked) a recipe for Cream of Asparagus soup that was 0 SP and delicious. So one bunch will get roasted for tonight's supper and the other one will be made into soup. We will have NSA applesauce cups with supper as well.
Ann ~ I'm impressed with the # of steps, but ouch! to your poor feet and ankles!! Take care today!!
Judy ~ I don't envy you getting up at 4:30 but I know you will enjoy your DDs!!
BBL. Make a great day!!

Sue yippee for being off for 2 days. Hope you can get some YOU TIME in the mix Happy shopping at Costco. It's raining on and off here today which does NOT hurt my feeling ankles or feet at all. I plan on having a VERY low key day. Your supper sounds delish....not a fan of asparagus but Carl will be over shortly LOL. Waving...........

Ann ~ We both enjoy asparagus ..... but last year DH brought home two stalks that were very fresh (they grow it in northern Michigan) and it was a whole different ballgame!! We still enjoy the store bought occasionally, but he brought these two stalks home this past weekend like the hunter returning from the hunt!! He knew it was in season when the first restaurant they went into had asparagus soup on the specials menu. Nothing quite like fresh-fresh-fresh!!

Hi Gang! I was up very late Sunday, having slept 9 hours or more Friday and Saturday nights, so I got us set up for the week. Then I never posted, lol! Monday, my big concern was getting my driver's license replaced. I realized Friday night that I lost it sometime between getting the inspection sticker renewed and eating dinner at the casino. When we got home from the camp, I checked pants pockets, went through my purse twice, checked under the car seats and everywhere else I could think of to no avail. So I hurried into the DMV with all sorts of documents and got one of the new "Real IDs" as a replacement. This will allow me to fly domestic flights without a passport. I also picked up DH's prescription while in town. The miracle was I didn't have to wait at either the DMV or the Walmart pharmacy. I was first in line. I probably should have gone straight to buy a lottery ticket as the chances of either place not having a line is at least 1,000,000 to 1. I did laundry in the afternoon and attempted to clear up a medical bill for DH that is about to get sent to collections. I double-checked with the insurance company, who told me it was filed incorrectly by the doctor's office and will be paid, with no patient liability, if filed correctly. I called every number I could find and when I finally got a live person, they put me on hold and then rolled the call to the number where I had left a message. So frustrating!!! I took comfort that the recording assured me they would call back within 24 hours. And of course I haven't heard from them since. I had a nice long phone chat with DD3 and then a sad chat with my yoga instructor, who is again in search of a place for us to have yoga. The building where we had class last week was suddenly being accessed by lots of strange men. She learned the landlord has given out 19 sets of keys to various men so they can come in and use the bathroom. None of us are comfortable with that arrangement. She found a temporary spot, but it is not ideal and they are pushing her to sign a lease, so we may not have that spot for long. She was so stressed and sad! I told her to slow down and if we have to go on hiatus for a while, so be it. Something will hopefully turn up soon. Today, we had hospice team meeting and then I made a visit. Team meeting was interesting as we have a new admit who is a drug-seeking ex-con. He is definitely terminal, but has been kicked out of 2 hospices already for his manipulative, drug-seeking behaviors and threats of violence. The plan is to switch him to methadone asap, as it will better control the type of pain he has. With new regulations regarding how many days of certain drugs can be dispensed, things may go south quickly. My guess is he will present at an emergency room and attempt to get more. It will be interesting to see how this one turns out! My supervisor breathed a sigh of relief when told he was not interested in volunteer services. I sat down to post this afternoon and fell asleep. Twice! I didn't get anything accomplished after that other than reviewing my board packet for tomorrow's credit union board meeting. I made chicken soup with leftover rotisserie chicken carcass to go with sandwiches for dinner, then went to RCIA. It was after 8:00pm by the time I got home and I was starving. I will make sure to get to bed at a decent time tonight as I have a busy day tomorrow. Judy - I thought about you yesterday when the news had a report of great white sharks at the Cape. Be careful!!! I hope you have a wonderful time and make lots of good memories. I enjoyed "Crawdads", too. Ann - I cannot imagine getting in 20,000 steps! You definitely earned a rest! I struggle to break 5000 most days. I am such a slug when it comes to exercise. Sue - Your flowers sound lovely. I don't have much of a green thumb either, but have found I do well with ivy and begonias. I am working on geraniums. We have an asparagus patch, but didn't care for it properly so the crop was very small this year. I am hoping to do better with it next year as we love fresh asparagus. What we get in the stores here is not very good. Off to get jammified and then read a bit. I just got a new audio book from a library waiting list "Daisy Jones and the Six". I haven't quite finished "Nine Perfect Strangers" but it took a really wacko turn that has me quite disappointed. I am also starting "Ford County" by John Grisham.

Good morning all. Another hot humid day on tap, but it's not supposed to rain. I'll walk...but only when it cools off I did finish the book I was reading before it poofed so was happy about that. Pam sorry for the misplaced license and happy you got it replaced. Enjoy your book. I also like John Grisham. Wishing all a great OP day and will pop in later.
