A long Saturday draws to a close...
CJ- its so good to hear that you are back in quilting mode again! A pink and white square in a square quilt top sounds really pretty- a lovely soft look. How large will your quilt blocks be for the canning jar quilt? Are you planning on a 12 1/2 inch square?
Agree about turkey buzzards- they are such ugly birds!! And it stinks when birds build nests in places that are not good for them..like near the exhaust fan of your bathroom.
Next year I want to buy nesting pockets/roosting pockets. They are nothing much to look at.... but provide shelter in the winter for smaller birds. Yup, gotta remind myself to order those.
Ruth, the hat sounds like a real cutie!!! Am pretty well familiar with the different thicknesses of POL and wool ease....nice that you were able to make them work together. Lilac is such a lovely color too! Oh darn.....so sorry that the truck is still a problem. Hoping that Honda can figure out what is wrong. Little by little they have to be able to test/eliminate electrical systems and find the flaw. Just hope its not too much work.
Sue, so you had an escapee?? Glad the little furbaby is back home, safe and sound. Yes, when they realize they are lost its a scary thing. Nice to hear that your morning weather was so nice. Nothing like a cool summer morning.
All in all, grandkids were good. WHen we took them home, we borrowed Dd’s power washer, and I want to power wash the walkway I just weeded. Then want to use some polymer joining sand on it, to fill in between the pavers so that the darned weeds do not return for a long time. I am tired of weeding the walkway.....and it looks so much better now that its all weeded.
Gotta go pay a bill and work on some stuff for the wedding
