Oh, my! I'm so late, I'm early!
QOTD from Friday: I remember the sparklers, Roman candles, fireflies, and homemade ice-cream at Grandma and Grandpa's.
QOTD Saturday: Yes, I've been to Mt. Rushmore three times. Once when I was 14. Then in 1996 it was our last family trip before DS went to the Air Force. Then in 2017 we took the three granddaughters there. Lots of steps and walking!
I spent most of the day on Friday with Nancy Zieman's videos on my laptop. I even ordered a couple of her books. I read somewhere that Nancy's Notions is closing. That's really too bad, but I'm sure Nancy, herself, was the driving force. I watched the memorial videos as well. She was a wonderful teacher.
Jenny, on one of the videos, they were making weighted blankets for children who needed them. They used tightly folded flat twin sheets inside the pockets for the weights. You could probably make one for your pups!
DH decided he wanted to meet DD for lunch, so we met her at G&D Steakhouse (she never says no to that one!) After that, we took our minivan to the dealer for an oil change. They rotated the tires as well, and wanted to change all the fluids and filters. I don't think DH let them do all that.
Friends called and wanted to meet us for supper at Bob Evans'. That was fun. Coming home, I watched more videos. I think I've just about watched all of them I need.
We're out of muffins, so I'll bake first thing on Saturday! Hope all of you are snoozing peacefully! ~~Molly

Where has June gone? Seems like it just started! But as fast as it has gone I have to believe three weeks from Monday will be here before I know it! Found out Jeff still has not paid the property taxes that were due June 4th and his lawyer told Debbie's lawyer they feel she should pay half to which they said forget it as Debbie paid all the taxes last year and that house should have been put on the market and sold which he would not agree to so those taxes are his responsibility!
Fred's golfing this morning and I sure hope he's done early as supposed to get heat index in the 100's today. So I will feed the cats on my own which means I can stay as long as I want after feeding them. I think poor Maybean is getting very tired as when I went to give him a belly rub last night he bit me! Then he meowed and was rubbing against my legs. The kittens always go after my shoe laces and are experts now at untying them! I now have a routine down. When I go in the morning I open the blinds, feed Maija's one beautiful fish, make sure to close her bedroom door after that is done so no cat can get to it, check water bowl, refill kibble dish and then feed the wet food. That is difficult as all three have their heads in the can of food making it almost impossible to get it in their dishes! Then I play with them and watch their interaction and stay about an hour. Then at night I close the blinds, clean the litter boxes, check food dishes, check water bowl and feed the wet food. Debbie doesn't give them a lot of wet food as for three cats she only uses 1 1/2 cans a day. Then yesterday her chewy order came which was two cartons with kitty litter, a carton of wet food and a bag of kibble. Fred and I had to carry the cartons into the garage together then we emptied the cartons and put the contents in the house. Turns out what made them so heavy was the kitty litter.
After the fiasco of gaining weight from the medicine and then losing it with the new medicine I have officially lost three new pounds from the first of the month. So pretty happy with that!

Good Morning Phyl and June Bugs,
This morning it is 79* and going up to 99* and sunny, hot and humid with winds S 10-15 mph. It looks like the next few days will be about the same temperature.
Its very quiet right now considering that we live in the city of Lincoln. I usually hear a lot of traffic sounds but not this morning. I guess everyone must have decided to sleep in today.
The dogs have been out and came back in and had their breakfast and Hunter settled back down and went to sleep on my bed. Bailey is sound asleep again on the floor in the living room.
I've had my early morning medicine and in about half an hour I will be ready for some breakfast and whatever the day will bring today.
As far as I know there are no special plans for today, so I'll just wait and see what may come up later.
Auntie Acid: Sat-Sun June 29-30: If today is the worst day of your life then you know tomorrow will be better!

Another hot summer day. Mid 90's. Started out at 74 so....
Kathie, Texans always go to the Alamo if it is their first time in San Antone. You might not be interested. Of course it is commercialized since I saw it the first time as a kid.
Yes, I have been to Mt. Rushmore. At the time one of DH's nephews managed a ranch and I got to spend a couple of weeks with them.
Sandy, you are doing so well, CONGRATULATIONS!
I am trying but it is a few points down then a few points back up so we will see what I record for July 1st. I cut my breakfast by about 1/4. Cut back on yogurt. Am doing the Greek light this week. 80 cal. Before that I tried to do without then bought plain and added vanilla and honey but it was still over 100 cal.
No real plans for the day so I will do some house work and maybe a load of clothes. A very rough night so very tired. Something stung me sitting in the yard Thursday evening and I can't seem to get relief from it. Last night Bearly wanted our routine out in the lawn chair after our walk but there was no wind so I only sat a few minutes and held him.
Watched 'I Can Only Imagine' yesterday before we walked.
Have a great day. Is anyone going to a parade or anything today? Too hot for this old lady to stand out on the street. Tomorrow our church service will be patriotic.
Have a great day all. ITSY BITSY SPIDER LUCY about to be BAREFOOT.

Sandy, congratulations on your weight loss!
Lucy, our church service on Sunday will be patriotic too. I guess it's hot all over.
Kathie, if your group is made up of shoppers, ask if the San Marcos outlet mall is still in operation. It's about 25 miles north of San Antonio, and used to be wonderful. That's been several years ago though.
Jenny, I hope doggie boy feels better today. He needs ear phones and quiet classical music.
Phyl, yes, the Corn Palace is wonderful! We bought a lot of gifts there. One was a bag of corn chowder that we gave DDIL. At the time, they were having all their household goods sent to Germany. The corn chowder was the only thing they had in the house for supper. They borrowed a pan from a neighbor to cook it, and she said it was the best food she had ever tasted! I'm thinking that was 2016 rather than 2017 . . . the kids have been away three years.
I slept late this morning. DH went to meet friends at McD's at 7 a.m. I really need to get a move on. BBL!
