Good Morning, WW Friends ~
Happy Monday ..... and welcome to the month of July!! I turned my calendar over last night so I wouldn't forget today.
DH and I are both up and ready so I can leave for school in about half an hour. I packed my lunch and snacks and have started supper. I had FF Greek yogurt with blackberries and a bit of Fiber One for breakfast.
Pam ~ The Barley Tex-Mex salad is a WW recipe; where as the bulgur/mango/avocado is one we created here at home. It is just what it sounds like with a dressing of seasoned rice vinegar, unsweetened lime juice and cayenne pepper (just a touch). Both have become favorites around here. We love having cold salads made up in the fridge during the hot weather.
BBL. Make a great day!!

Good morning all. For some reason my desktop would not let me open us up for today. No clue why. Perhaps aliens are to blame lol.
Pam sounds like you had a busy day. I shall try later on to open the link.
Sue we also enjoy salads when the weather is hazy hot and humid. Quick easy and point friendly.
It was fun getting to know our new neighbors. We made two friends.
Judy enjoy being with your family.
Nothing special planned for today. We have a few in town errands to run and Carl wants to do some yard work.
Enjoy your day!

Me again....just heard from my surgeon's office. He doesn't need for me to go for an MRI...he saw what he needed on the ultra sound. My surgery is scheduled for Wednesday July 31st. They will call me so that I can pre-register via phone and then I'll call the day before to get the time to show up. Thanks for listening....prayers appreciated

I just got another call from my surgeon. He had to cancel out that date and I'll be going on August 27th. That gives me more time LOL. Oh well....whatever. There is a reason for everything...that's what I'll keep telling myself

Today was laundry day, of course. I also did a little straightening up and DH & I cut, blanched and packaged fresh carrots for the freezer. I can only eat so many raw and don't want them to go to waste. DH also dried some figs, which are just starting to ripen. We like them in oatmeal. Tonight we had some cooked carrots for dinner, along with pork loin, spinach, brown rice, gravy and blackeyed peas. All weighed, measured, tracked and within my points budget! I also got a yoga class in, the last for who knows how long. Things are in an uproar and everyone is confused about the email sent out by our main instructor. I plan to do some online yoga classes and wait for the dust to settle.
Wishing everyone a restful night!

Good morning. I got a relatively good sleep in for which I'm most grateful. No real plans for today, but to take care of Ann

Good Morning, WW Friends ~
Happy Tuesday! We have another unseasonably warm day on tap. We took the Kindergardners outside yesterday - for a couple of hours in the morning but the afternoon trip was much shorter as it was very hot and they all began complaining of being thirsty. Our room's A/C is barely working so in the afternoon we moved to a different room which was nice and cool! We will do the same today.
Ann ~ Glad you heard back from your surgeon. Hope you are okay with the extra month delay?? You're right, of course, it is what it is. At least you don't have to go through the MRI. You will remain in my prayers!!
Pam ~ Bummer about your yoga class! Hopefully when "the dust settles" things will go back to normal. Yay on getting your carrots ready to freeze so you don't have to give them up. I made Barley Tex-Mex salad yesterday and we had it for dinner. Since I only make it in the summer, we haven't had it for a long time and it was a welcome treat indeed (served with pork loin).
This morning DH was unable to open up the newspaper on my reader (which I have been loaning him) so I will have to troubleshoot that - probably by calling the newspaper. That's 2 for 2 so I'm sure it's at their end somehow. But I won't be home to call until Friday. How frustrating!!
Time for me to get packed up and ready for school. I lost my school sunglasses (that I had kept there for over 2 years) yesterday on the playground, so I had to dig out another pair that I don't treasure to take today. If something happens to those, I won't be heartbroken at all.
BBL. Make a great day!!

Good Morning! Today will be housecleaning day--bathrooms, mop floors, etc. I took time out to go to church where a rosary was prayed for the DH of one of our RCIA team members who will have open heart surgery tomorrow. They are both very active and devoted to service in our parish and both sing in the choir. As I was leaving church, the daughter of another parishioner stopped me to ask about the Alzheimer's caregiver support group. I was encouraged as I have been trying to get them to come for months now, ever since I heard her mother was having symptoms. Her dad is the primary caregiver and they will try to get him to come. I was able to tell her we have another man in our group who is also caring for his wife. DH has been busy this AM canning homegrown black beans. His hard work and love of gardening contributes so much to our family. It has been a poor year for yield, but what he is harvesting is delicious--tomatoes, carrots, beets, bell peppers, onions, corn, figs so far. Ann - Taking care of you is a great goal. I hope you have a restful, refreshing day. Sue - Technical difficulties are so frustrating, because generally, we are at a loss as to how to fix them. I had trouble accessing this site and others today. We had a power outage yesterday and have had problems with internet service ever since. I am smiling at your "heat wave". Don't ever come to Louisiana in July or August! Judy - I know you are in full family fun swing. Enjoy! Time to get crackin'!

Thanks Pam. I am keeping myself busy. I made a pot of veggie bean soup and prepped a salad for part of our supper for tonight. Carl is going to do sirloin strip steak on the grille. Pam I wish I could take a 'walk through' your garden Going to sit and read now. Talk tomorrow!
