Good morning all. Slept in this morning and that felt great.
Sue I am in need of a haircut. Mine is very thick and also grown wild if left to its own devices. Hope you got some good reading in.
Judy good to ear from you. the kids sound fun. Fireworks have come uand gone here. Just a few of the homemade variety going off early evening.
Today I plan on getting back on track with the mindless eating. One baby step at a time.
Wishing all a wonderful day!

Good Morning, WW Friends ~
Happy Sunday!! We got our promised cool-down last night so sleeping was wonderful! I brought up the portable window fan yesterday and had it ready to turn on last night, so when we went to bed we turned off the A/C and turned on the fan instead. Our temp dropped down into the 60's overnight and the house cooled off nicely. I have all the doors and windows open this morning and it is beautiful!! We went to bed early and slept until the usual time, so I actually got some extra sleep.
I got all the cleaning done yesterday that I wanted to as well as some laundry, then spent the rest of the afternoon reading and listening to Sunny Radio on Alexa which was just perfect!! I had downloaded a new novel and read the whole thing yesterday. Yep, a pretty perfect day!!
Judy ~ So good to hear from you and that you are so totally enjoying your company. You are making so many wonderful memories for both yourself and those little ones (who never forget anything it seems).
Ann ~ I know you're appreciating your A/C being back on. I know exactly what you mean about the hair. I totally agree about one baby step at a time.
Pam ~ I know you are enjoying your time at the camp.
Today is a quiet one for us which is great considering we have a busy couple of weeks coming up. We will go out for lunch even though DH's VBF is Up North and won't be joining us for lunch :-( He has been sending us pictures of the dogs and the young puppies enjoying themselves there, as well as the fireworks they have been to see. It's almost like he takes us along ...... I will finish up laundry this afternoon and hopefully get into another book.
BBL. Make a great day!!

Sue your weather sounds like heaven. I just got back from a walk and it still feels hot to me. I won't go again until the sun sets.
Time for more coffee.
My day is planned and tracked.

Sue keep forgetting to tell you that you can ask Alexa to play your most played songs. Came across that by accident.

Thanks, Ann, for the tip on Alexa. I thought of Sunny Radio yesterday because of you mentioning it - and when DH came home he commented on how much he was enjoying the music as well. Win-Win!!

Good morning friends!
We have gone to Mass, enjoyed a nice ham & cheese omelet, toast & grits for breakfast and now I am relaxing with Sunny Radio playing in the background. DH picked a huge bucket of figs which he is now slicing to dry.
We spent Thursday and Friday at the camp and came home yesterday. Thurday, we decided to skip the annual Crab Festival in Bay St. Louis due to the heat. We bought boiled crabs and DH made bbq shrimp that were delicious! Friday, I made potato salad and he bbq'd ribs. We were supposed to stay another night and join DSis & DBIL at the campground for a big potluck dinner and a band, but DH got bored and wanted to come home yesterday afternoon. DSIS came over Friday evening for a visit and Saturday AM, we went into town, visited a couple of junk stores and had lunch. It was so good to catch up! We were on our way to Walmart so I could get stuff to make a potato casserole for the potluck, when DH called and said he wanted to come home. Since it was extremely hot (the car thermometer said 103 on the way home) and we would only have known a couple of people at the party, I didn't mind heading home, though I think DSIS was a little disappointed that we didn't stay. If I had really wanted to stay, I could have come home with DSIS today and DH could have met us in BTR, but it wasn't that big a deal to me. DH was very happy and I think relieved that I didn't make a fuss. I think he misses his garden, the cats and WiFi when we're at the camp and a couple of days is his limit.
The heat and humidity has been awful the past few days, with "feels like" temps above 100. I managed to get a walk in on Friday morning, but that's about all the exercise I have attempted lately. I am looking forward to Sue's more temperate weather later this week. DGD, Anna, and I will fly to MI on Wednesday to visit DD3 & family and come home the following Tuesday. We plan to go to the Lavender Festival on Saturday. That means I need to get laundry caught up, get packed, attend hospice team meeting and get a visit in, all before Wednesday. DH plans to take me out to dinner tomorrow to celebrate my birthday and we will have a family dinner Tuesday night as a combo birthday party/farewell dinner. Anna will spend the night here Tuesday as our flight is an early one.
According to my scale at the camp, I have again lost that pesky 3 lbs. Not sure yet the difference between that scale and the home one. I did better with my eating at the camp than last time and tracked it all. I am trying hard to stay the course. DD3 is on WW currently, so eating there shouldn't be any problem.
Ann - I know you're glad to have that AC fixed! I envy you your thick hair. Mine is getting thinner and thinner as I age.
Sue - Your day yesterday did sound just perfect. It also seems you enjoyed a very nice 4th of July.
Judy - I know you're enjoying having DGS all to yourself today. Are you still at the Cape, or home? I can appreciate your simultaneous feelings of relief and longing at DD's departure.
I plan to be lazy for a while longer, catching up on Words with Friends and then start figuring out what to pack. I'm planning to just take carry-on, so it will take some planning. Have a great Sunday!

Pam happy that you and DH enjoyed your 'time away'. I can understand why DH wanted to come home and I'm sure he so appreciated a no fuss leave Enjoy your laid back day. My hair has always had a 'mind of its own'....as a kid I always wanted straight hair the flowed and moved when you moved your head. Unfortunately nothing short of a tornado will get this mop movin' LOL. Going to shut down and wait for Carl to finish up the yard work before we had on out to pick up cat food that I totally forgot to do. Miss Rachel will NOT be happy tomorrow!
