What do you order? Starbucks: trenta iced passion tango tea, unsweetened, no classic (sugar!), no water, 2 splenda if I want any sweetener Or an americano (iced or hot) with a splash of heavy cream. I'm not a fancy coffee drink person.
I'm shocked when I see people on FB say they get 8 pumps of syrup (sugar free or not) and 4-6 packets of sweetener. I just don't understand how people can stand that much sweetener lol. Why bother with the coffee or tea in it at all?

I hate Starbucks and only go there if there is no alternative. The VA hospital in the Bronx has a Starbucks. As it is in a NY VA hospital, if you ask for a regular you get a regular, lol. Fancy Starbucks monikers notwithstanding---I care not for the Grande or blah blah blah of the Starbucks lingo. I ask for a regular, I get a regular.
I am fine with DD or 7-11. I actually prefer 7-11. I grab a cup, fill it up, add what I want, and go on my way.

I hate SB coffee. I do not get what the allure is. If I have to meet someone there I will order a Skinny Vanilla Latte and nurse it. (Well, that Peppermint Mocha thing they have around the winter holidays is pretty good, so I might get one during the season.).
DD, Peete's, McDonald's,Convenience stores - Black coffee.

Starbucks coffee, to me, has always tasted "burnt." In the last place I worked we had a Starbucks and I only resorted to their coffee when I was mandated to a 16-hour shift. Then I hauled my butt down and got whatever with two shots of espresso. Otherwise, I avoided SB like the plague.

I like my coffee so strong that it shakes me awake. Once a month after weigh in, I get a skinny caramel macchiato at SB. It's my mini celebration. I do like McDonald's and DD coffee. DH isn't suppose to drink coffee so he makes it extra weak

In my āwalkingā days (when I wasnāt so prone to falling), I used to walk to Starbucks, grab a cup, continue walking, circle back for a free refill, then walk home.
That was in the pre-Pike Place blend. I just HATE Pike Place. My preferred roasts are their Verona, Sumatra or French Roast; when I want something lighter, I like Veranda Blond.
After Pike Place became their standard fare, I invested in a Keurig at home and bought the K-Cups I preferred. Saved me money every day.
Then Starbucks changed their loyalty program, essentially tilting the balance steeply in their favor. Getting a free drink after spending $50 or $75 within a short period (because their points expire too quickly) didnāt appeal to me.
So, now, Starbucks has alienated me and seldom gets a visit from meāperhaps 4 times a year.
OhāI also have to mention that I used to love to visit Starbucks and sit with friendsāor strangersāin the comfy stuffed chairs and visit. Then they turned their stores into work centers for high-tech start-up people who are to poor or cheap to rent office space. Another reason to not visit Starbucks!
I occasionally visit Peetās and like Major Dickinsonās blend; but Peetās are scarce here and none are convenient to my location.
McDonaldās coffee, for my taste, is undrinkable. And DD left the area years ago and has only recently opened a few stores in NorCal, none in my area yet.

I stick to iced tea or hot tea with no classic syrup. I add Splenda whether at SB or Das Bog depending on the weather š.

Years ago, on 60 Minutes, the CEO of Starbucks was on to talk about coffee. He did say they burned the beans so that customers could actually taste the coffee after adding all the additional flavorings and sugars. Yuk. I wouldn't go to a Starbucks now because of the way one store in Tempe, Arizona treated their local police on July 4. The barista asked them to leave because they were making the other customers feel uncomfortable. I really hope that Corporate does some sensitivity training with those employees! Tempe Police

I'm boring & just order black coffee. No cream or sweetener. I hate SB coffee so if I have to go there, I order a hot tea.

That made the national news this morning. Starbucksā comment was very non-committal. If I worked at that particular Starbucks, Iād be praying that nothing happesn that requires a rapid police response! People just need to get over themselves. If you choose to leave the privacy of your residence, then you accept that others have the same rights as you do. In this case, if people were uncomfortable, then they shouldāve left. Just my opinion, of course.

I hope you boycotted then too if you'd boycott for the police incident.

Speaking of boycotting I do boycott Chick-fil-A. But a little boy I was babysitting the other day who is a friend of the girls had to use the restroom really badly and we were near USC (crowded and urban so we went to the first place we could find). I did find it amusing that we went in and bought nothing but that it was a pretty perfect setting in which to take a you know what.

And as for coffee, I'm not too regular of a coffee drinker but I do like Starbucks skinny iced mocha. I rarely get anything from there though.
